This is one of two prime located Saddle Ridge units, just one door apart from each other (rent both if you are a large group or come with another family) collectively known as Casa Moonlight, Big Sky, Montana, Ski Resort

Casa Moonlight Two is on Saddle Ridge at 8,000 feet above sea level between two of the most spectacular ski resorts in the West: Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin.

No other alpine ski area in the U.S. offers what the interconnected slopes of Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin do - extraordinary SKI - IN, SKI - OUT opportunities, among the highest vertical drops for groomed skiing in the U.S. (including hike-to terrain), world-class recreation year-round, and superb amenities and services.

Ski right out the back door and onto the Pony Express Run or direct to the Iron Horse Lift and you have access to over 5,250 lift-served acres of world-class alpine skiing.

Located on the warm southern facing elevated ridge that lies between the Moonlight and the Big Sky ski area, with panoramic views on all sides, Casa Moonlight is directly above the Iron Horse and Pony Express lifts which access both the Moonlight and the Big Ski base area and the mountains beyond. You can ski back to Casa Moonlight from both Big Sky and Moonlight basin ski areas.

Skiing and boarding are the main winter activities. There is ample lift serviced terrain in the 2 resorts, but if you feel the need to venture further, various back country options are available.

Summer activities in Big Sky fall into two main categories. Those organised by the resort, including Lone Peak Expeditions, Adventure Zip-line Tours, Climbing Walls etc and those to be found in the greater South West Montana area including Fishing and Rafting on the Gallatin, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Golf and of course all that Yellowstone Park ( nearest boundary - half an hour away) and West Yellowstone (just over an hour away) have to offer.

Casa Moonlight Two is a recently renovated log fronted three storey town house with a floor area of approximately 1,800 square feet in the Saddle Ridge development of the Moonlight Basin, Big Sky, commanding panoramic and unobstructed views of Lone Peak and the Big Sky and Moonlight Basin Ski Area

The new owners, who divide their time between Chile, Thailand and Montana, live in a nearby home and will personally manage your stay at Casa Moonlight throughout the ski season.

Casa Moonlight is approximately 1,800 square feet, has 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, and sleeps up to 7 adults. This Montana ski-in ski-out vacation condo is a luxury accommodation in every respect:

There are slate floors in the entry, bathrooms and kitchen. The vacation rental custom furniture is made out of Ponderosa Pine. This Montana condo is filled with unique western art, but the unforgettable views from all the rooms, make this vacation home a place to remember.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, flatware and utensils.

Casa Moonlight is located 45 miles from Bozeman Airport (BZN).

Location is excellent and views are outstanding. Working with the owner went well with respect to check-in and check-out. Property was comfortable for our family of four adults. Only downside was that the hot tub was malfunctioning during our stay. Wasn't a big deal for us, so did not request follow-up.

Amazing location!

Perfect condo for our family of 4! Can't beat the location, if you want to be near the Moonlight Lodge. Unit was clean and comfortable. Owner and property manager were very responsive. Check-in and check-out were a cinch!

Likely would not stay here again. The hot tub did not work the entire time we were there - and based on reviews - it did not work for the prior guest as well. In addition, the guest three ring binder discusses how to try and get it to work when it doesn't work ... but none of that worked for us. The host offered us a discount ... on our next stay with them ... despite our issue being on THIS STAY. I get things break, but then a corresponding discount should be offered when it is something like a hot tub on the slopes on a ski trip ... In addition, the GFI in the master bath tripped and my wife's hair dryer then wouldn't work when we got home. We had to flip a breaker to get the dining room lights on when we arrived. Overall, the location is great - we have stayed in many of the Saddle Ridge town homes. This one was closer to the ski access and faces Iron Horse, which we were very excited about for the hot tub. The place was clean. The beds were comfy. No updates to speak of compared with some of the other units. Well stocked with TP, kitchen supplies, shampoo, etc. Timely communication from owner. We just don't think we got what we paid for ... and are down a Dyson hair dryer ...

Mark, once again my appologies for the failiure of the hot tub that occured during your stay. As you know we had a highly unusual catastrophic failure (the plumbing system sprang a huge leak and this resulted in major damage to the pump). This problem was not simple to resolve, it required many parts that had to be ordered from out of state - and were in short supply - as well as work to restore the damged plumbing. You are correct that this happened the week before your arrival - and while we waited for the pump to arrive (it ended up taking over 2 weeks), we had made temporary repairs, using the old pump. Prior to your stay that temporary repair had been holding good for a few days, Unfortunately it failed again the day of your arrival and the new pump was not delivered before the end of your 5 day stay and despite best offorts we could not complete a repair during your stay. You will be pleased to know that the new pump has now arrived and been installed and the tub is working again as usual. This really was a once in ten year event and not typical. A the guest directory explains a simple reboot can solve many minor issues. During your stay (your second time staying with us) you had enquired about booking for next year - this was the reason that I made you the offer of a substantial discount on next years stay. I had though that firstly you might be underestanding of the unusual circumsances and also that you might appreite that offer! Do please try again.

Clean, spacious, and well stocked. The owner was fantastic to deal with and clearly communicated check-in instructions. The unit was very well stocked, and very comfortable. Unit placement was excellent for lift access in the morning and ski in access at the end of day. Will 100% stay again.

Perfect ski in and out condo in Big Sky!

The property is exactly as described. Everything needed for our stay was provided. The condo is very spacious and has great view of the slopes and easy access to lift. The property management company communicated well and the owner left all the information you need in the condo for your stay. We will definitely stay there again if back in Big Sky!

Skiing in Big Sky

Great stay! Perfect location to ski in/out at Big Sky. Lots of space to spread out in the condo. Nice kitchen with everything you need to cook meals. Comfortable beds. Enjoyed the free streaming of netflix, max and disney plus. We’ll be back next year for sure!

Casa Moonlight is Perfect

The unit is great! Plenty of linens and anything you need in the kitchen. You could not ask for a better location. Easy walk to Moonlight Lodge and ski out your backdoor right to the slope.

My family had a great time at this townhome which was exactly as described. It is very nice and clean. Everything is perfect. I would like to stay during the ski season, if I have a chance come again.

Great Property, Cool Area

There were a few hiccups with the check in that required my daughter to stay in another place the first night (provided by property management) but overall a good experience. Very clean place, nice views and accommodations were exactly what we needed. The location is a great escape from the main town center but that was what we were looking for. The local red fox visited us at the hot tub every evening.

As I believe you know, this error was a first for me in over 10 years of operation ( and I believe also a first for my managers). Hopefully it will be a learning experience and will not be repeated. We've Been Back Two Years in a Row...

Casa Moonlight has an unbeatable location with ski-in/ski-out access to two fantastic ski resorts. The condo is well maintained with a well stocked kitchen, fantastic outdoor private hot tub, and plenty of room to spread out. Will happily return again next year!

Quite simply Big Sky is the best, largest and least crowded lift serviced skiing in north America. We had been visiting (and renting - mainly in Saddle Ridge) for extended stays for 5 years - and then in late 2009 found prices had become affordable, so purchased our first home in Big Sky. Then in 2011 with a little spare cash to invest decided Big Sky was still a great location for another property investment.
