Ski Camelback! Pocono Lakefront, dock, hot tub, private pool and tennis court

Wow! This review was completely unexpected, considering that when we checked-in during your stay, your response was "We are having a good time." If it had been effectively comminicated that there was dissatisfaction ruining your stay, we would of sent a cleaning crew. However, I was personally at the property until 48 hours before your check-in doing pre-season preparations and maintenance and therefore it is incorrect that no one was there or no cleaning occurred 2 weeks before your stay as our crew was there cleaning more than once. We had brand new carpets installed 4 days before your stay! Our apologies the pictures showed a lighter color carpet during your booking as it was time for an upgrade! You were the first guests to get to stay with the brand new ones! We hope you liked them! It is fairly standard practice to not eat or have glass near the pool for a plethora of reasons. We provide 2 lakeside/poolside eating tables plus a bar area to eat, drink and enjoy!

Good news is that we upgraded with air-conditioning for 2022!

I am so glad to hear you had an amazing time at our home! I am so sorry you had trouble managing our row boat. It can take a little patience and practice to get used to. I have made sure our listing is clear about the beach not being on our property and that it is a short boat ride or very quick drive down the road. Honestly, I have never had anyone confuse this element of our home but I have insured it is absolutely clear!

I am shocked to learn about the cleanliness factor at our home and wished we were contacted about this on arrival so we can do our very best to address the situation as to avoid a surprise negative review. It is important to always communicate with owners about these things as we give multiple outlets to communicate with us! We have many many 5 star reviews on our house because we really strive to provide a stellar experience for our guests! Our records indicate that our house was vacant and deep cleaned the day before your arrival and photos show deck and dock was clear of debris. If the house was not perfect, we absolutely do apologize and have made all attempts to look into our grounds keeping and house keeping photos and checklists. We love the geese and swan residents that visit on our lake and unfortunately they do poop! It’s part of lake life! We provide guests with a dock brush and scoopers for this purpose and I hope you were able to locate these.

I am so glad you had a great time at my house and enjoyed the winter views during your weekend getaway and were able to get to the ski mountain! There are a few things from your review I would absolutely like to address. The gas fireplace pilot light went out which happens sometimes and you were unable to get it lit upon my provided instructions. It was not broken. This is why there is a secondary wood-burning fireplace in the great room that is for guests to use. If one fails for any reason, there is always a back up to have a fire! The hot tub was set at 99 degrees upon your check in. If you would like to raise it to the maximum temp of 105, it does take a little while to heat, the colder the air temps are. This info is in our check-in information and the guest book. In the Poconos, there is ice. We dont leave salt out because it is something we prefer our services to handle and they checked the property in the morning to find the ice melted therefore they didn't use salt. I was unaware you were arriving very late or we could of kept an eye on the ice factor for you. My apologies for any inconvenience the weather may of caused. I think you also misunderstood me about the plug for the stove. I told you this happened once before that it came unplugged, not that it happens all the time. I imagine it might of been accident when our crew was cleaning the stove, perhaps. It is pretty simple to just plug back in but I am sincerely sorry this caused you trouble in your stay. We had the plate switched anyway to ensure the plug is absolutely tight in the socket to ensure this doest contribute to a negative review in the future. We love our house and feel it is cozy, as you can see from the many 5 star reviews. The rustic aesthetic isn't for everyone and I am sorry you didn't find it comfortable.
