This easy to get to house was perfect for a weekend in the mountains. It was conveniently located to Phoenicia and the neighborhood was quiet. We loved listening to the creek at night.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our week-long stay. We particularly loved having all the sliding doors and windows open in the master and main rooms to hear the water and enjoy the setting. Jetted tub was great. Fridge clean and empty and ready for us. Simple eats in and bigger meals at restaurants nearby, although kitchen ready for cooking. With temps 80-85*, we were fine without central air. Ceiling fans and cool nights were perfect. The rain tested our patience with humidity, but that’s just nature. There is a window a/c unit in one of the back bedrooms. This whole region has spotty cell service. Remember to reach out for entry instructions well before you get all the way to the house. House internet was strong and reliable so no issues once we connected. Olga did a great job communicating with us. We also appreciate knowing how to be good guests so we’re glad for the written instructions and hints. This is a place we would both recommend and hope to rebook.

Catskills gem

A charming house in a superb location next to the crystal clear Esopus creek. Scrupulously clean and well equipped. Attentive host and property manager. Well located for all northern Catskills activities. We hope to return.

Wonderful experience

Despite weather forecasts to the contrary, we had no rain for the 3 days and 2 nights that we stayed. Family members loved the spaciousness of the house and the closeness of the stream. All in all, a 10/10!

Beautiful house and location

We loved the home and location, was a bit disappointed that a washer and dryer were not available but upon reading the house information again I realized that a washer and dryer were not listed so that’s my fault. The house is about 1 1/2 hours from the Bethel Museum that covers the Woodstock music festival. The museum is awesome. The scenery is beautiful and lots of hiking trails. Unfortunately for us it rained the entire trip.

Beautiful creekside home

Beautiful setting with this home. Kitchen appliances and amenities were great. Bedrooms slightly sparse, but very functional. Bathrooms clean and seemed to be recently updated.

Lovely streamside retreat

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home is nicely renovated with a lovely rushing stream heard throughout the home. Furnishings are mixed styles / comfortable. Very nice renovated kitchen. Olga and her property manager were very pleasant and responsive throughout . Visitors should note that as shown in the photos, there is NO furniture on the lovely deck, so you need to bring your own.

Absolutely beautiful property

The property was absolutely beautiful and the location was great not too far from the town and yet the property felt secluded and private. Great communication with the host and there was a very helpful instruction and information book as well as instructions for just about everything in the house. I am looking forward to my next stay at the property

A beautiful creekside retreat!

This is a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. Our host Olga was so gracious and caring which made the experience exceptional. The location was private and quiet yet close enough to so many wonderful places that allowed us enjoy and experience nature. A perfect place to relax and recharge! .

Beautiful home

This home is beautiful and the best part is that it is all one floor! We spent the week watching the ducks in the creek, sitting on the deck, grilling. The place is clean. The windows are spectacular. The grill is awesome. The beds are comfortable. Thank you!

Peaceful, Relaxing Retreat

This is a wonderful place to get away from your cares and stress! You really can hear the creek from anywhere in the house - babbling away, soothing your worries. The creek is wonderful for wading in on hot days and comes with lots of wildlife. We saw deer, great blue herons and kingfishers and many other unidentified birds. If you go farther afield, there are plenty of trails available - from serious hiking/climbing to easy nature walks. The house is big and comfortable. Almost every room has a sliding door that opens to the enormous deck by the creek. Olga is a wonderful host who responds quickly. Her caretaker lives nearby and can come over to assist when needed. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay again and recommend this spot to others!

Short stay

This property is very nice in a lovely country setting. There’s a little feel of rusticity with some modern touches. A great home base for a fishing weekend. Host is very responsive and welcoming. Would easily stay again.

Beautiful Get Away

This is a beautiful property. We had a lovely view of the sunrise on the mountain before we drove to Hunter to ski (about 11 miles / 16 minutes away) and then enjoyed the living room fireplace each evening. The property is close to both Hunter and Phoenicia for breakfast, dinner, or shopping but quiet and secluded enough to feel private and restful. We hope to come back in the summer to enjoy breakfast by the creek and dinner on the large deck.

Needs finessing

The house itself is nice, but it lacks finesse, which was disappointing, considering the amount we spent for a two night stay. Furniture looks like cheap yard sale finds, misc stuff left around, including an unsanitary container with used nasty sponges left on the kitchen counter right up against the cutting board. Bedroom fireplace wasn’t working, spa tub yes but use water only (was looking forward to bubbles), shower soap was a used sliver, other bathroom had several almost empty travel size containers, no napkins except some chipotle ones someone left behind, no aluminum foil that we needed for a dish. Fridge has old food stuff left behind from other guests, freezer filled with gross looking food I didn’t even want to put ice packs in there. Wanted to play a game, missing several key pieces (like the game board). We had to hunt for the welcome book - which was falling apart and had the wrong WiFi pw. Fireplace had note on it - read instructions first - but no instructions in book. Place could be nice but needs an overhaul.
