Welcome to The Island On Lake Travis, an elegant condo complex that offers luxurious Lake Travis waterfront accommodations located on a 14-acre island. This gated resort offers condos for rent whether it be long or short term. A very unique aspect about our property is each condo is done to individual owners taste.
The Island on Lake Travis is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing romantic escape, and enjoy wildlife and breathtaking sunset views over the lake.
There are plenty of local attractions to explore to keep you busy if you are looking for something fun and exciting to do. Take a day trip to Marble Falls or Fredericksburg, check out one of the 18 hole golf courses nearby, or enjoy a wine tasting at a Flat Creek Winery!
When you rent from Island Rentals, you can expect top-notch customer service, and dedication to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Each of our condo's come with a fully equipped kitchen and linens for the bedrooms and baths. Covered Parking is on ground level with reserved parking, and additional "guest" spaces as well. There are 5 elevators on property.
We provide our guests with check in information prior to their arrival, which will include the front gate code, assigned parking spaces, directions to the condo and door code for added convenience. (Front Desk Check In is not required, and allows guests to arrive and access condo late at night if necessary).

This place is Awesome!!!

Staff is great, we needed a few things from Melinda as we have been doing a longer stay. Melinda, and staff have been very accommodating. The Island is a beautiful place!!

Family stay

We are in the process of finishing our new home here in LV and needed several places to stay as the builder completes the house. This property looked good on screen but was lacking in total cleanliness and upkeep. We’re in a second condo at the same property and it is head and shoulders cleaner, up to date and accommodating.

Peaceful island life

Great dayd on the island. Clean villa.. Nice restaurant, good pools andd a great view. Watch out for wasp and hornets on the island. That's the only major downside that could make your outside fun less than pleasant. Make sure when you come to go ahead and book your kayak or boat rentals ahead of time to pick you up directly from the island to take you on your adventure. Totally worth going.

Stay Away. Not as advertised.

This property is old and tired, not as it appears in the pictures. Overall the property is dirty and not well maintained. There is a lot of deferred maintenance that needs to be addressed. Indoor pool was dirty and the hot tub not working. The unit looked and felt dirty. Bed was terrible. The balcony had broken furniture and the deck was breaking up. Outdoor Pools were packed and not kid friendly. Its a nice location on the lake but I would not recommend staying here

Rating is based on the extreme lack of cleanliness & bad odor when we walked in. We were given a delayed check in time & told it was due to extra cleaning needed because of Covid. We were in shock. There were also several light bulbs either missing or burned out. We had to initiate the need for replacement which was handled immediately. After intense cleaning on our part, the unit was ok. LR furniture was not comfortable. However, main bedroom was very nice with walk in closet & large bathroom with double sinks & nice sized shower. 2nd bathroom also had a nice large shower. Balcony was large & enjoyable in the morning sun.

Good but a few inconveniences

This was our second time staying in a property on The Island. The first was through a separate owner and though both were good, compared to the first stay this was a little worse. The location itself is fantastic - a welcome respite from the hustle of daily life. However, we came here to get away from all of that and did not expect the numerous requirements in the check-out process. We had to take out all the trash in the apartment and put it in the trash chute, collect all used towels, and a couple other things. Also, the folder containing the checkout information was not updated and a second requirements sheet contained even more that we did not do, including taking all sheets off the beds. There were also charges listed for any trash left in the rental. When we stay with a Homeaway property, we have never had to do all of this. Though I am aware it is not all that much to take care of, we paid a cleaning fee for a reason and did not expect to have to do so much while on vacation. We always try to leave the space as clean as possible, but these requirements seemed a bit much. Our family was renting a second unit from a different owner and they did not have to do any of this, and as mentioned earlier, we did not have to do it in the last rental either. Other than this, the rental was good.

Gorgeous property perfect for families or even a couple

My husband and our three girls rented this condo last weekend. It was so much better than we expected. And at the price, it's a steal! The property is awesome. It is gated, very clean, and so much to do without even leaving the property. Multiple pools, hot tubs, indoor pool and hot tub which is nice when it's cooler out or it's raining. There is also a sauna. The condo was in a great location and oversees the bbq area and the lake. I did a lot of research finding the perfect place, trust me-this is it. You won't find a better deal.

The condo was everything we expected. And very close to one of the pools. It was a bonus that it was on the bay side so we enjoyed the afternoon shade. Would recommend 100%.

Going from Good to Excellent

Like all of life, and in every experience, there are pros and cons. The same pros and cons are true for North Shore Vacation Rentals (NSVR). Some of the pros, from my recent experience, include: appreciation for the timely and helpful e-mails; receiving directions that were simple and easy to follow; setting the thermostat at 74; finding both an ice maker and a coffee maker. In thinking about the maxim we get what we pay for. . . While I cannot speak for others, in my estimation, when paying $350. per night both my expectations and standards are raised. Said differently, NSVR is not the Holiday Inn Express. Some of the cons. In my view NSVR could move this rating / review from good to excellent by including a few additional, and relatively inexpensive, amenities. Little things such as: Having an extra kitchen trash bag available; Including hi-ball glassware; Adding some version of a bath mat; Plus, in 2018 – and beyond – a Roku, or similar device, to allow guests to use their streaming services (read Chromecast and Netflix). Something for NSVR to consider would be the inclusion of some type of a “gift” shop - like a mini convenience store - where guests can purchase small items such as toiletries, snack food, beverages, fly-swatters, etc. After visiting NSVR it is clear the complex is fairly 'high-end,' and high volume. This is not a valid excuse for not finding the condo to be immaculately cleaned. To me, it appeared the windows had not been cleaned in awhile as evidenced by toddler handprints. Similarly, it seems the floors had not been swept or mopped recently. And from the looks of things some of the furniture has not been dusted in several months. Lastly, and more importantly, the bathrooms could have used a once-over with some Clorox wipes! Seriously.

Loved the place

Our family of 5 stayed very comfortably in the condo. The resort had everything we needed. The condo was placed close to the pool and on the bay side of the lake so we didn't get the afternoon blazing sun. I would recommend this unit 100% . Thank you

The couch and the bed are

The couch and the bed are not comfortable but that could be more of a personal preference.The spare bedroom has 2 single beds whereas a queen would be better. The kitchen lacked everyday necessities e.g. there were no dish towels and it took a long time to get hot water. It lacked good knives and utensils and needs a new toaster. The balcony is nice but lacks comfortable sitting. A TV upgrade would be nice as you can't get a program guide however that maybe the Spectrum control box. Toilet seats should be changed as they are worn. Regards Kevin and Rita.
