Live in a part of history in the converted carriage house on the estate of the Barclay-Bryan House. This upstairs apartment affords private accommodations close to Scott & White, VA hospital, Texas A&M Health Science Center and dining in downtown Temple. Easy access to all of Bell County and surrounding area (30 min. to Waco, 45 min. to north Austin). Finish your day and unwind by the pool.

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights
There are laundry bags in the closets. You may leave your towels in there.
It is not necessary to strip the beds or make them. Our housekeeper will take care of everything.
Turn AC to 75. There is a large trash bin in the alley through the courtyard.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No swimming after 10 PM, spa ok. No unattended children at pool. Children that are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper. Swim at your own risk

Place is very peaceful and very clean. The host was amazing helped when asked and communicated with us very nicely. It is a spot we would come back to! The pool and spa were amazing. The beds were very comfy and the rooms were very clean and put together nicely.

We loved our stay! The pool and hot tub were both easy to use and so enjoyable. The seating out was nice also and we always felt very secure and private. This is a lovely cottage on the grounds of a beautiful historic home. The hosts were so attentive to each and every detail. The property exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect home to meet up with and visit friends from out of town. Everything was clean. The artwork and decor was lovely. There were above and beyond thoughtful touches like snacks, extra coffee, and a bottle of wine. The historic books that included information about the home were also wonderful. The pool and hot tub were perfect! There are plenty of places to grab last minute items or a quick bite. We would stay here again!

I can't say enough great things about this property and Roger, the host! First, it's gated and private. Next it is just a few minutes from anywhere you want to go. It is very clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub were spectacular especially at night! Roger sent a text our second day that the hot tub was out of order but the pool is fine. A few hours later Roger came back from the hardware store with parts to fix the hot tub, which he did and it worked just fine. He could have very easily said it is out of order until the pool guy comes next week to fix it, but he didn't HE fixed it. That is caring about your guests experience. Thank you Roger! Overall we could not have asked for a better place to stay, especially for our grandkids. We will not stay anywhere else when we are in town.

We loved the property and would stay here again such a cool place to enjoy with a huge yard for the kids. We would have loved to use the pool if Texas storms had the water cold we did put our feet in and relaxed awhile.

What a wonderful hidden gem! It was perfect for our mini family reunion. George was responsive and the dogs are great. The pool was a great place to unwind and relax. The extras in the house were very unexpected, from the drinks to the snacks I highly recommend this hidden gem. When we come back we will be staying here.
