About Linda L. Anderson
I have been a business owner in Cody since 1983 and owned and operated a roller skating facility until just a few years ago. I have also been a horse owner since the age of fourteen with the exception of the four years that I attended Western Michigan University. My family moved to Cody from South Lyon, Michigan where I boarded horses and raised german shepherds. In the later years I was also involved with the K-9 Search & Rescue Team. We brought Children, Horses, Dogs and Cats to 'Big Wonderful Wyoming'! All three children graduated from Cody High School with the youngest attending the Wapiti School from grades K thru 6. My Morgan Mare went from Show Horse to Mountain Horse. She took care of me on the trail; as well as packing out Elk for the family. I purchased her at six months of age and lost her a few years ago at the great age of thirty three. She was my horse of a Lifetime! Cody Country is most definitely an Awesome place to raise a family and to visit!
Linda L. Anderson purchased this Chateau / Country House in 1986

The views from the house were amazing. We made sure we saw the sun rise and set. Its a short walk to the Shoshone River for some incredible trout fishing. Our only suggestion would be to have more outdoor seating . We highly recommend this house for your next stay.
We stayed here for 4 nights and wish we were staying longer. The hosts were so sweet and the place was so clean and nice. Had a fire on the Shoshone river and fished the river. This place is just perfect and the views are spectacular. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone.
Charming Ranch in the Eastern Foothills of Yellowstone National Park
My family of 4, including 2 children ages 8 and 4, rented the bottom floor of this charming ranch in mid August for 3 nights. It was part of the second leg of our trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. We chose it largely because it was nestled between Yellowstone and Cody. The space was very clean and spacious and had more room than we needed (it could easily accommodate 10 people). Linda was very responsive from the get-go and was kind to wait up for us the night we checked in (~9PM).
Since the ranch is a bit far from the nearest grocery store, I would recommend making sure you bring enough food with you if you need anything in the near term, especially if like us, you arrive from the direction of Yellowstone in the late evening. Otherwise, there is a large Wal-Mart in Cody that has a large produce section.
So pleased that you enjoyed staying at the Ranch and sharing Big Wonderful Wyoming with us! Coming in from Yellowstone there is a small grocery store about 5 miles from the Ranch; however it is possible that it was closed later in the evening when you arrived. As you said the best place to do a good shopping is Super Walmart about 20 minutes from the Ranch in Cody and there is also an Albertsons the other side of Cody. Again, thanks so much for coming to Cody Country!
Lots of space, amazing views
This is a great property. The views are stunning and it is very large. Midway between cody and yellowstone. The owners are great. Highly recommend this place to everyone. On the Shoshone river. Don't pass on this rental if you want to rent in this area.
Loved it! It was the best family trip ever. Plenty of room for our 12 person family. Beautiful house. Beautiful views. Loved the horses. We will be back!
Beautiful home along the river!
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house! The host was very accomadating to all of our needs and we would love to stay here again!
