I (Anna) am originally from near Athens, Georgia and my husband Jeff is from near Lexington, KY. We enjoy being active - running, hiking, kayaking, etc - exploring new places and countries, and being involved in our community. I (Anna) am a local church pastor and Jeff works on public health initiatives. We love welcoming people into a community that we love and has many wonderful qualities to enjoy and places to explore!

Vernon is an amazing historic community. We love history, old homes, and the small-town neighborliness. Vernon offers incredible access to the great outdoors, having a put-in area on the Muscatatuck River and just a half-mile away from the county park with almost 10 miles of hiking trails and a splashpad & playground. Arts, history & culture shape our little town, which hosts the local Jennings County history museum, and an arts & yoga studio. We have two restaurants in walking distance - Los Alamos Mexican restaurant (excellent food & margaritas!) and Linda's Log Cabin (homestyle cooking).

We blend history with modern amenities in our updated 1840s home. It is cozy, but not too small, and has excellent access to outdoor adventures. We also like to welcome guests with small, homey touches to say "We are glad you are here!" Finally, we enjoy getting to know people and make new friends, so we are always open to saying "Hello!" in person at any point during your stay. We are also fairly connected with local events and businesses in our community, so we are happy to share suggestions or point you in the right direction if you are looking for something specific.
