To etagers hus foran stranden, der ligger kun 4 km væk fra centrum af Telchac. Det har palapa områder, bar nær havet, hvor du kan tilberede en fantastisk BBQ med dine venner og familie. Det store soveværelse har en palapa tag og på tredje sal kan du finde et udsigtspunkt med en Palapa og hængekøjer, et fantastisk sted at slappe af og se solnedgangen.

Fabulous Property

The reviews for this property seemed too good to be true but now that I’ve stayed here, I see they are accurate! The grounds have several delightful seating areas, the house is spacious and well-lit, and Xama and her family are amazing. My only suggestion would be more dish towels and hot pads in the kitchen and maybe better/more silverware. But those things were definitely not a deal-breakers - I would love to stay there again!

Location! Location! Location!!

The outdoor space and location of this house is EVERYTHING! We just spent a week at Xama's lovely place in Telchac with our 2 kids (22 and 17) and my son's best friend (18) for their high school graduation gift/trip! There was so much to do at the house...swingball, swings, pool, hammocks, ocean right there!, kayak. We kayaked in the Gulf almost daily! Our kids had the best time! The second story patio deck is everything! My husband and I would spend hours out there enjoying the view and relaxing. It was amazing! The house is nice inside and has everything you could need. Roku's in each of the 3 bedroom TVs was a nice touch with teenagers. A few little quirky things with the house but nothing you can't live with. Water pressure is not the best and there is no "living room" to gather in...but that's what the amazing outdoor living space is for! You are in a tiny, non-touristy town that is perfect if you want to get away and decompress. Local restaurants close pretty early in town. Xama's parents even brought us homemade flan to enjoy!! Overall, it was the best vacation!

The perfect quiet getaway

This house and location is so wonderful for quiet vacation....for just you, for friends or for family. My friends and I didn't want a tourist place with a lot of people, and it was perfect. Sunrise and sunset over the water every day, just breathtaking. I would recommend food shopping in Progresso or Merida, there is no grocery store close by, just little market with very basic minimal things. Two restaurants within short walking distance, otherwise the town is about 2 miles away, a car would have been helpful. Zazil set up fishing for us and it was so much fun, he even made us ceviche right on the boat with the fish we caught. So good! Zazil's parents were on property a lot of the time we were there and they are lovely, brought us homemade food and gave rides to the airport. Really appreciated their hospitality. I look forward to when I can get back to Villa Zazil

Great beach house for families

We had the best time staying at Xama's property for 3 weeks from Dec-Jan. Our kids loved the yard with the swings and playhouse. The pool was lovely. The beach is right there and it was perfect. Xama and her parents could not have been kinder. They learned that it was my youngest daughter's birthday when they were there and even ran out to buy her a present. I really recommend this house and Telchec Puerto in general for those who are looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation at a great price. It is a very low-key environment, so if that is your style you will love it.

Another Great year at Villa Zazil

It seems every year we stay at Villa Zazil the family tops the previous year leaving us to wonder if they can continue to do so, and once again they did! We cannot imagine staying else ware, this family is amazing. This year we brought our children and grandchildren for a week, and they loved the house as much as we have come to. The playhouse and new swings were a huge hit! What stood out this year was when we called to tell Zama that construction had commenced next door, within a day Zama had someone build a privacy fence between us and the workers. This is not something she had to do, but understood completely my wife's feeling uncomfortable with eight construction workers mere steps away, and took care of it. It's this type of thing, above and beyond what you would expect that keep us coming back year after year to the Arroyo family's home. Beautiful paradise!

We cannot stop thinking about our trip to Yucatan. The design of this beautiful home is unique! The outside living space, pool, and view are fabulous!! Xama and Bully are wonderful and easy to communicate with. The house wasn’t as clean as I like my own house but that’s an easy fix. We will never forget this magical vacation! Thank you so much for your hospitality:)

This was our third time back to Villa Zazil and once again we cannot say enough good about both the accommodations and the family. Wonderful people, they have once again made us feel like family Thank you for once again making our holiday perfect in every way. See you next year!

Lovely Beachfront Hideaway!

We spent a week at Villa Zazil from the 17th to the 24th of January, 2018. The property looked exactly like the pictures on the website..in fact the property is even more beautiful. It is a spacious property with many areas to sit and relax. Literally steps to the ocean where the beach is "au naturel". We spent many hours just enjoying the sound of the waves and the stars at night. An extra bonus was Bella Mar...a small, family run restaurant 2 houses down the beach from us! Fresh fish and chicken marinated in sour orange...very yummy and Bella is awesome! This is a very quiet, secluded location so not for everyone but if you want to relax and totally decompress...this is the place. It is close to Telchac that has lots of services but you really need to get groceries etc. in Merida which is about 45 minutes south. If we went back we would rent a car to make things a bit easier...however the tricolo (scooter taxi) was a good service! The interior of the house was also very nice... we loved the many types of tile patterns. The master ensuite is very spacious and private. The one negative is that the kitchen was in need of a "deep clean" and updated utensils for cooking. As the house is by the ocean many of the utensils and the sink are quite rusty and could be replaced. We had a hot water issue on the main floor that was quickly rectified. Everyone we dealt with in Xama's family were friendly and accessible. The onsite Tuck shop was very helpful for water and beer purchases. The onsite laundry was also very conveniently located. In closing, we would have no hesitation returning to Villa Zazil as we really enjoyed the property, the area and the million dollar view.

Un endroit incroyable

Nous avons séjourné en famille durant 11 jours pendant la période des fêtes. Les photos sont très parlantes. Le cadre est réellement idylique ! La plage est à 20 mètres et on a la sensation d'être seuls au monde avec pour seule compagnie les pélicans. C'est fantastique ! Idéal pour les personnes en recherche de farniente car la contre partie est qu'il n'y a pas grand chose à faire aux alentours. Prévoir un bon livre !

Amazing vacation!

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Zazil! It's a quiet, peaceful and serene location with beautiful views. We swam in the Gulf and pool everyday and loved just relaxing on the deck while watching the pelicans fly by. Thank you so much for sharing your very special home with us! We hope to return year after year!

Villa Zazil- we will be back!

My husband and I love to travel with our 4 and 6 year old, and try to take a big trip every year. (We are from the US, South Carolina) we have vowed never to go to the same place twice because there is a big world out there. Well, when we left Telchac, more specifically Villa Zazil, we left part of our hearts there! We will be back! The house is gorgeous architecturally and with its view and being steps from the ocean. (Which is very calm and shallow for yards and yards- perfect for the kids!) The family that owns this house are warm and accommodating and we feel we have made life long friends. They treated my kids like their own, and my children have already made letters for Buly and Xama since being home. We had never heard of Telchac before this trip, but feel like we hit the destination jackpot. It was everything we wanted. Safe, laid-back, many thing within close proximity to see and do, but also lots of laid-back pool and beach time. My husband also enjoyed taking a fishing charter and caught a ton of fish by hand fishing, which Buly and Xama cooked for us- best fish tacos I’ve ever had! Go to this place- you will not regret it!

Some things get better with age!

Recently my wife and I returned for our second visit to Villa Zazil, this time for five weeks. It's difficult to think that someone could have improved on something as beautiful as this home since our last stay one year ago, but this family did, and then some. While I could never say enough about this amazing house, what makes it irresistible to us is the people that own it. Now three generations strong, they are a kind loving family and you cannot stay here without feeling the sense of caring they have for one another, their guests, and their friends. It truly places you in a frame of mind that mere words cannot describe. Suffice it to say that we have already reserved the same time frame for next year and will continue to return as long as they will have us! This year we ventured out to a few more of the restaurants in Telchac Pureto and have yet to have a meal that we could criticise the service only outdone by the freshness if the food and the price leaves you thinking why cook!. We also visited a few cenotes and the ruins at Uxmal which I highly recommend over Chichen Itza, they are just as large, 1/4 the crowds, 1/2 the price, and you can still climb the stairs to the top of a pyramid. Beautiful, quiet home right on the Gulf!

We loved our stay at Villa Zazil! It is a lovely home right on the beach with a pool and beach volleyball net. The house is comfortable with all of the necessities for your stay. The master suite is especially nice with its palm frond roof. Xama was a pleasure to work with a was always quick with her communication if we were in need of anything. Telchac Puerto is a small town that is conveniently located for exploring nearby Cenotes, Mayan Ruins, and Laguna Rosada. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay with family or a group of friends where you can lounge at home or explore the Yucatan, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great house! Steps from the beach!

Everything we had hoped for and then some

Some might find Villa Zazil too quiet, for us was a perfect location. Within an our of a city with everything you need, yet far enough that you are isolated. Incredible beaches that you can quite literally see for miles and at the same time not see another sole. The solitude and tranquility for us was exactly what we sought, and were richly rewarded. Everything save a couple of small appliances (a toaster and coffee maker) is exactly what is represented on the property description, and I must say that these were delivered within hours of our requesting them which lead me to believe they were w simple oversight. Xama Junior, Xama Senior, Bullie, Cecil, and of course Saul were the most accommodation and friendly hosts we have ever had the good fortune of renting from. On a minute's notice someone was there to deal with any issue we had, and truthfully what we encountered as issues were few and minor, and as I said rectified immediately. Two doors down directly on the beach is the Bella Mar restaurant, owned and operated by a wonderful couple, the food was outstanding, the service was as though you were in a friend's home. There are ruins within 1/2 hour's drive, definitely worth taking in. We went in the middle of the day and for three hours we had the entire site to ourselves. Overall I would have to say that this area as a whole is the most well kept secret in Mexico, and fear that if it receives too many reviews like this we will find ourselves in another Tulum, once a quiet romantic place to go and now the streets are now so packed it is difficult to walk them. I hope Telchac remains the way it is for years to come, a sleepy village! We enjoyed the property so much in fact we are already planning to return next year, so that if that isn't the best recommendation I can give I don't know what is.
