We had gnats, or baby flies every day and they were also in the refrigerator with oir food so we threw our food away. The A/C was not keeping the room cool.Space under front door you could see the outside. I have never stayed in such a ghetto in my life.

Only good things were it was dog friendly and the heater and hot water worked. This is why it got 2 stars rather than 1. Toilet was turned OFF. Had to turn it on at the wall and the float was broken so it continuously ran. Handrail up to the bunk bed was screwed on by one single screw. And it was a loose screw. There is a gap under the door that has been there for at least 5 months when someone else on Vrbo mentioned it. Board over doorway rocks and is super loose. Don’t ask about banister. I’d hate to see a safety inspection report. Rude staff when I asked about it “we don’t have anyone to call so you’re welcome to check out early”.

The room was OK, but the outside needs some maintenance. We ended up not staying because our room had bed bugs. Thank goodness we saw it within 15 minutes of unpacking. The group was great about refunding and not giving us an issue. I’m sure they’ll remedy the issue.

Had never been to Helen before and was a little worried about where we could stay that was dog friendly. This unit was great! Staff on site was great and always available. There was a nice park across the street for walking my dog. Great location for walking through town and close to more restaurants than I had the chance to try out. I will try to stay here again for my next visit to Helen.

Highly disappointed

This property does not include a private pool area, the rooms and shared balcony seemed to be used by mostly locals who were smoking all the time not recommended for having children around. Outdoor Pool closes at 9pm which is not shared in the details online. We were rudely approached asked to leave at 9pm sharp. Could not even hang by the pool area later than that while on vacation seems ridiculous, pool cleaning was not done properly things were just left open and filter baskets were left dirty with leaves in the pool for guests to clean up.The bathrooms at the pool were locked the first day we arrived so had to go back to our room to use restroom, they were open the second day. Random guys or possible friends were coming and going all around the condo area. Checkin guy was rude and not friendly!! He started using a blower when guests were trying to enjoy the outside pool area. He seemed bothered by our family staying there. The lady who worked there was very nice. Room did not have any where to hang up your towels only 1 rack for a family of four. A hook on the door or another towel racket would be nice. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning was great. But the wifi was a huge issue and did not stay connected unless you were in the corner or outside of room. Light was shining in from the hotel behind condos so a curtain to cover that would help, the blinds were not helping with the lights from the country suite.
