Beautifully decorated, 2 bedroom / 2 bath, bottom floor condo located in the center of non-commercial Dauphin Island, Alabama. Steps from the pool. Park in front of door and still have a clear view of the Gulf of Mexico from the patio. No steps, no parking deck, no hassle! Enjoy the white sand beaches and beautiful Gulf of Mexico without the hussle and bustle or high cost of commercial beach locations. Perfect for quiet get-a-ways with the family.

Unlike other condos in the area, ours is on the first floor where parking is at the front door - no stairs or elevators. The back door opens up to one of the two pools (condo has a heated and an unheated pool), - making it the perfect unit for a family with small children who need to be supervised while swimming...right from the patio! It's also great for mature couples who do not want to go up and down floors to get to the pool. But don't think you won't have an ocean view..... even on the bottom floor, you can view the Gulf from the patio!

Also making it the perfect family unit is a 'Bunk Room' - that can sleep up to 5 kids comfortably! Don't forget the pull-out couch in the living area for any 'extras'....

The master bedroom has a king size bed and the master bath has a jaccuzi tub. All rooms have TVs, DVD players and VCR's. Plenty of board games, poker chips and cards and I-Pod player for entertainment for all ages.

Our condominium complex is the farthest from the public beach and there is empty beach for 1/4 mile to the West so it is the least crowded condo on the beach. With two pools, we also have the luxury of 'spreading out' when lounging poolside - so you won't feel crowded or have to fight for pool chairs.

Spend an afternoon sitting on the beach or fill your days/evenings with endless walks on Sand Island. Every day you will experience a magnificent sunset from the beach or from the boardwalk.

If you want to get away from the peace and serenity of the Island, it is only a 30 minute drive to historic Mobile, Alabama or a 45 minute ferry ride across Mobile Bay to Gulf Shores, Alabama for endless entertainment and shopping. Golf courses are available just north of the Island.

If you are unable to preview the video of our unit on this web site, i will be happy to email you a link to it. It is worth viewing!

About Stephanie Constantine

We are a family of four who live in Mobile, Alabama. We love Dauphin Island!! We stay there once a month in the summer and a few other times during the year - when it is not rented. We take pride in it as our second home and hope our renters will look at it as their 'home away from home' too! It is a safe community where our teenage kids can 'roam the Island' with their friends and stay out of trouble!

Stephanie Constantine purchased this condo in 2003

Why Stephanie Constantine chose Dauphin Island

My family rented this unit with some friends when my husband returned from a tour of duty in Kuwait in 2003. The condo was less than a year old. We loved it and bought it the next month.... We have survived two major hurricanes since then... Ivan (2004) and Katrina (2005)... both required total redecorating of the bottom floor units due to flooding.

What makes this condo unique

The beach is right in front of our condo...easy walk and even in the summer, the beaches and pool areas are not crowded and are quiet. Some condo properties are close to the public beaches and they tend to be more crowded on the beaches. Our condo has empty beach to the West with no public access or other condominiums.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was our first time to Dauphine Island and we absolutely loved it. Not commercialized, busy, or crowded which made it a perfect place to feel safe to let small kids have a little freedom. While there are not the other attractions you find at other beaches, we found that to be a huge positive because it was much less distracting for us and the kids. We just focused on playing on the beach and in the pools the whole time without having to plan to go here and there. No one got bored while we were there and we never left the condo. To top it off, this condo is on the bottom floor so we did not have to lug kids beach and pool toys through a lobby and up the stairs or elevator. Access the pool and beach directly from your private patio and we were still able to see the sandy beach and ocean from the bottom floor. Thank you so much, we will plan to come back and highly recommend this island and condo.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Booking was fast and easy! Loved the place and the Island! Stephanie was very helpful, and she even let us pay and stay an extra night because we didn’t want to go home! Don’t listen to some of the islanders, the only places to eat on the island was Skinners and Islanders!!! Great place for R&R!

Clean, peaceful, perfect spot for our family of 6!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved being steps from the beach. Unit 110 had absolutely everything we needed for making our Thanksgiving meal perfect. We loved reading through the guest book from past stays. Skinner's was a really fun treat. We ventured out to collect shells and view beach sunsets daily. We found a horseshoe crab shed, saw a dolphin, and walked many miles. The kids loved the bunk beds, and we enjoyed the king size bed. The lighthouse bakery was a nice treat too. This place had everything I was looking for in a nice week long beach vacation with my family. Thank you again Stephanie for being such a fantastic person to rent from!

Oklahoma City, OK

Definitely would stay again.

  • 4 of 5

Great condo located perfectly convenient to the beach and pools. The condo was over all clean and had a homey vibe to it. Plenty of space for our family of five. The toilet was leaking a little, and the floors would have been cleaner. The mattress in the second bedroom were not made for adults to sleep on comfortably. There was no flat sheet on the top right bunk. We slipped a few times on the floor the night we got into the condo due to sand still being on the floor. Overall definitely would stay again, would definitely recommend this to other family and friends. The owner was very pleasant to speak to and answered all of our questions.

Peaceful, family centered beach vacation!

  • 5 of 5

#110 is a great condo for a family! The 2nd bedroom sleeps 5 people comfortably! With three teenage daughters, it was great that each of them had there own bed with no one on the sleeper sofa! The master bed is huge! Also, the washer and dryer are FULL size! This was great for keeping up with laundry and towels! First floor location was perfect for hauling two umbrellas and five chairs to the beach everyday! Overall, the complex was really quiet for mid-July and because the pool was so accessible to the condo, I swam laps in the morning (before the teenagers were up) and they enjoyed it every evening after dinner. The kitchen is well appointed but we also enjoyed Pizza from Island Pizza (walked across the street to pick it up) and had a DELICIOUS shrimp boil dinner from Skinners Fish Market (they steamed it for us) just down the road! Really lovely place....we plan on returning next July! If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place with a relaxing pace, look no further! As I am writing this, we are packing up to head back and my seventeen year old just peeked out of their room and said, "It's been nice to be so remote and unplugged this week." Thank you Inn at Dauphin Island #110 for creating a small miracle in our family! Can't wait to return!
