About this property

Mountain view’s with hot tub & pool table on Beech Mountain. Sleeps 10.

Behind a small gated community, this newly built, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom custom-built home will become your favorite getaway. The Black Bears Den is located only 8 minutes from downtown Banner Elk and 15 minutes from two ski resorts. The open concept will allow families to enjoy each other's company while taking in the views around the fireplace. Enjoy the fresh mountain air while soaking in the hot tub or while roasting marshmallows around the gas burning fire pit.
The space:
This home was built with guest comfort in mind. Make yourself a home cooked meal in our fully equipped kitchen. There are two dining areas with seating for 10 guests, with an additional four stools at the custom built kitchen island. Off the kitchen is bedroom #1, the master bedroom has a king bed, walk-in closet and a large master bath with a free standing tub. Bedroom #2 is also located on the main floor. This cozy guest bedroom comes with a queen and Jack-N-Jill bathroom. You will find the laundry room on the main floor as well. The back deck is accessed from the living room and master, and features a covered outdoor dining, grill, seating area and fire pit.

The downstairs den provides a second living area where guests can spread out. Warm up by the fireplace, enjoy a drink from the bar and play some pool. Step out on the lower level deck and relax in the adirondack chairs or the hot tub. This floor you will find bedroom #3 with a queen bed and Jack-N-Jill bathroom. Bedroom #4 is the bunk room with two sets of twin bunk beds and access to the shared bathroom. All living rooms and bedrooms (except the bunk room) have smart TVs.

Other things to note: Pets are not allowed at this home. Please note that there are 2 exterior security cameras facing only the street and driveway. There is a paved driveway with parking for 4-5 vehicles in addition to the garage where guests can park two cars. AWD or 4WD is recommended for winter travelers. Environment: Please understand we are located in an area with lots of tress and wooded area beside us. Creepy crawlers and rodents are common for the mountain region. We do our best to prevent any issues by having exterminators spray the property but things do get in at times. If an issue arises please contact me.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please put heat on 52 in the winter on both thermostats and 75 in the summer and spring time before leaving.
Cover the hot tub, grill and fire pit.
Place trash in the trash cans in the garage. Please keep the cans in the garage at all times because of bears.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

The house is INCREDIBLE! It has breathtaking views, and the perfect location to the nearby sledding hill and ski areas. My family was extremely comfortable here - it had everything we needed! This is our second year staying at this house, and we plan to return next year!

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay! The scenery and accommodations made it so easy to unplug completely from social media and we were all able to stay present and enjoy one another’s company. Waking up each morning to breathtaking views, experiencing the mountain wildlife, enjoying the local activities… it was just so wonderful. The home, itself, is immaculate. The thoughtfulness of included amenities surpassed our expectations- especially as a mom! Everything was thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival and the atmosphere can only be described as breathtakingly cozy. Thank you so much for hosting and we look forward to future stays!

This is the most incredible home on Beech Mountain! We came to ski with our family (5 adults and 2 children). We had sooo much space! Monica has decorated this home so beautifully with every single thing you could ever need. The hot tub is perfect with gorgeous views. We had some deer friends come by to check us out! The home was spotlessly clean and the towels, linens, sheets etc were all so fresh and smelled so good! The huge comfy couch in the main room was so comfortable and had room for everyone! The views from this home are breathtaking! There is even a bar and pool table with a living area downstairs to contain the children! They had a blast! Monica was so incredibly kind even when our wild boys had an incident! She was on top of it and more than understanding. She always answered us immediately if we needed her and was so great about giving instructions in advance. We have never had such a wonderful experience. This is a gem! It is even in a small gated community of other gorgeous homes. I am blown away and so grateful we found this home!

My family and I enjoyed this home so much. There were so many add on that we were not expecting like body wash and shampoo and conditioner being included to having any spice we could think of if we wanted to cook. The home was so clean and smelled amazing and overall was just beautiful. We loved everything about this home and we would stay here a thousand times over. The most magical place!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The location is perfect with breathtaking views! Monica was hands down the best host we have ever had, she kept us updated with everything we needed to know before and during the trip. The house had all the essentials you needed including baby gear if you have a little one! The pics do not do this place justice! The views are amazing, the house is amazing, and the owners are so beyond amazing! From the beginning of this experience it has been top notch in responding to all of my fifty million questions, and then once we arrived the care and concern to make sure everything was up to par made us feel like we were truly at a home away from home. We came upon this neighborhood in 2019 and bought 3 lots. This is the second home we built in the neighborhood with a third currently being built. It’s a great location with beautiful views, quiet and safe behind the gates.

What makes this property unique

It’s a new construction with an updated look, super comfortable for guest. As a host I make sure the house is fully stocked with supplies and many baby/toddler items.
