Perfect cabin for a relaxing fall getaway. Prime location—great for a day trip to Tahquamenon, plus public access to the beach right across the street and walking distance to the trailhead of a nice hike to a scenic overlook.

Spotlessly clean cabin. All instructions/directions were easy to follow. The only thing I would add to the description is that there is a lot of iron in the water. We chose to buy water for cooking, coffee, and drinking. Lovely, quiet area.

Fabulous Fall Getaway

Conveniently located to all the attractions on our list. Beautiful Lake Superior is literally out the cabin front door and a stairway away! Cabin is exactly as listed and well equipped with anything you could need.

My husband and I stayed at Doreen's cabin. The cabin is so cute and charming. The host Doreen is amazing to work with! The location is the cabin is just perfect, we were able to visit so many of the local parks, and beaches.

Little slice of tranquility

The location is ideal for all upper peninsula sights! The beach was heaven. Coming back from a day of out and about, it was nice to sit and enjoy the waves. Did I mention sunsets??? WOW! The ambiance was perfect! The cabin is very retro with the feel of pure cozy. No detail is left out. Was fun learning all the Lake Superior facts and reading entries from other guests experiences they have set out for guests . The locals are wonderful and there is so many wonderful things to see in just the small area also! There is the mission lookout and cemetery which has the unknown crew on ship found in the whitefish point waters laid to rest. Make sure to check out the Yupperlite store in Brimley. Was A MUST if you like rocks! The founder is right in Brimley!! Thank you so much for a wonderful stress free time! The cabin is clean and has everything from home. Pack light and get ready to relax!! I’m jealous knowing I’m not there right now. Was a perfect location and spot for our needs!!

Perfect rustic getaway

Doreen was a wonderful, attentive host. The cabin was just as described, but better! We had everything we needed, the furniture was comfortable, and everything functional as expected. The beach across the street is secluded, sandy, easy to get to, and stunning. I highly recommend spending time there. The house was closer to the street than we thought (50 mph) so watch your dogs, keep them leashed, or bring a dog gate with you. This place was a great location to disconnect. We loved our stay.

Rental matched description. Very rustic feel to our stay. Kitchen is well stocked. Cabin is very well supplied with towels, blankets. Great place to unplug from the rest of the world!!! Cute little cabin.

This was a cute cozy little place right off the shoreline of Lake Superior. When we walked in it immediately gave a sort of Christmas’y vibe from the decor to the scents in the cabin. The cabin was very clean and well stocked for anything you may need for your stay. Doreen text and checked up on us when we arrived, which I thought was a nice touch. It is very well located to be able to explore so many beautiful places in the north woods including shooting into Canada for some daytime exploring. Make sure to gather information off your phone prior to arrival as cell coverage is not great on the entire area. Overall, our stay was absolutely wonderful.

A Step Back In Time

Our second time staying in this adorable cabin, and it did not disappoint. Clean, welcoming and comfortable. Loved taking the short walk across the street to spend quiet time on the beautiful beach, listening to the waves. Kitchen-iti-kipi, golf at Wild Bluff, the casino, and fires at night, also kept us busy.

Cozy Cottage

Very cozy and cute cottage. The perfect get away only 4 1/2 hours north of Detroit. 40 min to the falls and 20 min to Sault Ste Marie. We enjoyed the peace and overall the relaxing area.

We purchased this property in 2003 as an interim destination until, and while, we built our waterfront dream cabin in 2013 nearby. We loved every minute of our stay in this little rustic cabin. We purchased waterfront in 1994 with the dream of building on it, but until that was possible, we enjoyed this little cabin. We have developed a love for the beauty and rustic feel of the UP. This little cabin has the feel of waterfront, the smell of waterfront, the sound of waterfront, and a partial view like waterfront....but just walk to the west end of the property and cross the street to the public access. It's our joy to offer a stay for your relaxation and break from the media saturated world around you and retreat to a slower pace, with campfires, beach walks, hiking, swimming and many fun filled day trips.

This property is a break from the fast pace media saturated world. No in house internet access, but locally available, no cable TV, limited local stations with a VHS video player, totally "old school" complete with a selection of movies and DVD equipped flat screen TV in main seating area. Bring your own DVD movies or watch one of ours supplied. It's our hope that our guests will be so busy enjoying the outdoor beauty, day trips and playing games with family that media won't be necessary except for a nice cup of coffee at the Dancing Crane Coffee Shop to "check up" on your Facebook or emails with their free WiFi access just 3 miles east down Lakeshore Dr. The smell of real firewood burning in the wood stove touches off the rustic ambiance of those cool UP evenings or a campfire with marshmallows roasting or hot dogs lightly charred!

Watching freighters passing on their way through to the Soo Locks and on to the St.Lawrence Seaway. Breathtaking sunsets and beautiful "public" beach that only the locals know about right across the street, long walks on the beach and the beautiful vintage Point Iroquois Lighthouse just a short walk down the beach is a destination in itself.
