This cabin was great. We were 3 familes and it accommodated us perfectly!! We had a blast at the creek :) If you have a big group, this is the house for you. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg were a close drive Get there during daylight the first day, its a bit scary driving at night Thank you Marc , Linda and Mary for your quick response. You have a beautiful cabin, thanks for letting us make memories there :).
Owner is going to make sure he makes more money with security deposit.
Owner kept half of the security deposit stating there was food in the coach and a chair moved from upstairs to downstairs. No one eat on the clutch and there was no chair taken downstairs by our group. He also stated the cleaning crew had to take trash out. We checked and double checked every room to be sure there was no trash left. We all believe you leave things better than when you first got there. We even fixed one chair in the dining room that was broke prior to our stay. The garage doors are broken, there is no AC in this cabin (yes this was in the description). Will not be staying here again
As owners of this vacation rental for almost 20 years, we have had thousands of guests and only a small handful of complaints. John-David’s group left the home in a condition that required our maintenance and cleaning crew to spend additional time there and we were charged $250 to cover the work and time for additional cleaning, restore furnishing to before conditions and to remove trash left behind. We only charged their group a modest $100 of their $250 deposit…far less than we could have. The garage doors are fully functional, but door openers have been disconnected for security reasons. And yes a home in the mountains at 4400 feet elevation never needs AC, even in the warmest summer days. Evening temps are typically in the 60’s. This is one of the reasons so many people continue to visit our Creekside Log Cabin in the Smoky Mountains. Despite this minor issue, we would welcome John-David back in the future.
Great place for three families and kids!
We spent the weekend here with our kids and two other couples with their kids and had a blast! The kids bunk room is downstairs next to the game room so they stayed down there the majority of the time. We could go down and play pool or ping pong with them or enjoy the peace upstairs. The kitchen has all the tools to cook anything for a large group like ours which was a huge plus for us. It was a great place and I would definitely use this house again if we go back to Maggy Valley.
Great Cabin Home!
Very homey and great for church retreat. We would definitely come back some day.
quiet, peaceful, and secluded
beautiful all wood cabin with various ample accommodations for guests of all ages
Great cabin for family vacation!
Very classy and comfortable cabin for our family's Thanksgiving vacation. Slept 3 families easily with plenty of room for the adults and kids. The cabin has everything you need to enjoy a long week of entertaining, exploring or just relaxing. Make sure to arrive during sunlight to enjoy the mountains; the hillside road to the cabin is tight but manageable during the day. Thanks Marc for sharing your cabin - it fit our needs perfectly!
