I loved the ducks that always greeted us when we came in and out. I didn’t much care for all the poop they left right in the doorway. The bed was comfortable. It was clean. We couldn’t seem to control the temperature well. We were freezing most of the time. It served our purpose well enough.

The location to Hocking Hills was convenient. The cabin needs deeply cleaned and does not match the photos. The kitchen is small and difficult to prepare full meals in but using it for sandwiches and pre-made meals works best.

PIctures did not accurately represent the actual house. It was not as clean and nice as it looked in the photos. Bugs around lights in bathrooms, Very small outdated shower with a bad shower head, Loud airconditioner unit in room where single beds are. No shades or curtains on some windows. This is an old cottage that needs some updating.We had a two day reservation and left after one. The host was upset when I told him it wasn't what we expected.

We had a nice stay at the cabin and really enjoyed the beautiful, peaceful setting. The pond and ducks were definitely our favorite part and added so much charm!The owner was friendly and extremely responsive to our messages, which we really appreciated.We did experience a storm-related power outage that lasted over 8 hours. While we understand this was completely beyond the owner's control, because of the remote location and extremely limited cell service, we had no Wi-Fi, AC, or ability to use the kitchenette during the outage. We would suggest considering a generator or other backup power source for future guests, especially given the cabin's remote location.Overall, we enjoyed our getaway and would love to see a few small improvements that could make the stay even better. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Nice place in the middle of wooded area. Unfortunately, we lost hot water the 2nd day we were there but the host was really responsive and worked to fix the issue. Pleasant stay overall

The property was run down compared to the pictures posted. The refridgerator was set to its coldest setting and froze all our food. There were oder absorbers in large numbers throughout the property. Obvious signs of repairs that were done but not properly. Overall, the property felt very different than the pictures show. The ducks though!

Check-in was very easy and directions were clear to this private but not too secluded property. We were within 20 minutes of several park locations, restaurants, and grocery in the Hocking Hills area which makes it a prime location for exploring. The cabin was clean and welcoming and the beds were comfortable. We had an issue with electricity in the lower level, and the immediate response from the host was prompt and courteous. We were unlucky with weather and therefore had limited time on the property outside the cabin, but we did squeeze in a hike on the property's trail between storms and found it beautiful and very peaceful.

Upon arrival I followed directions to keep left at the Y which took me up a very tight drive to nowhere and had to jockey my truck around to get back down to find a barely legible sign pointing me to keep right and go left at the second Y. I would highly recommend not taking a car. The correct drive was pretty rough.The keybox code worked fine and opened up a sliding door. We were instantly overwhelmed with the scent of air fresheners (we found 14 and attempted to stach away the ones that were not mounted in a cabinet to mellow out the smell). While checking out the cabin it was rather dusty and needed a good deep cleaning. We pulled back the sheets to check for bugs and found a stained mattress protector. Put the sheets back on and put our own sheets over that to sleep on. Going upstairs it was incredibly hot and we were glad it was just the two of us and no kids were planning to sleep up there.The bed is very firm which some people like but is not my preference. While my wife was showering she commented that she like the color of the lighting. When I got in I looked up to fond that the color was different because it was full of dead bugs. It is also a very small shower. Probably 30" x 30" and I am 6'4". Not comfortable. We had booked 2 nights but left after only 1 night the air fresheners were still so strong it was causing my wife to have difficulty breathing and was generally grossed out.We will probably just go to a hotel our next trip.

From your description, it appears those directions were not followed correctly, which led you onto the wrong driveway\. Our property is a rustic cabin in the woods, not a five\-star hotel\. The rural setting, driveway, and compact cabin layout are part of that experience\. However, we understand that guests should still expect a clean, comfortable space\. We take your comments about dust, the mattress protector, and the shower light seriously\. We are also sorry to hear that the air fresheners caused your wife discomfort; their purpose is never to overwhelm our guests\. Your feedback will help us address these concerns\. Secluded and Peaceful

We had a great time here and really enjoyed the lake! The cabin was very clean and enjoyable. The beds were comfortable. We would stay here again.
