Step back in time in this authentic settler two story log cabin situated on 55 acres privately owned family ranch with stunning views over miles and miles of the northern part of Texas Hill Country. Enjoy some R&R, meet the friendly ranch animals on a peaceful stroll or enjoy some fishing in the stock pond and relax on the front porch while star gazing.
You don’t want to miss out on this gem - only 4o minutes from Weatherford, Granbury and Possum Kingdom lake nestled in the beautiful Palo Pinto Mountains.
While keeping it’s authenticity our log house has been updated with modern amenities like central air and heat, full kitchen and a full bathroom featuring an antique cast iron bath tub.
Enjoy this quiet and serene retreat conveniently located just 15 minutes off of I-20 in easy reach to many shopping and dining places nearby.
Enjoy a peaceful weekend away whether you are looking for a romantic getaway for two, Honeymoon or a relaxing girl’s weekend.
The log house offers a cozy stay for up to four guests in it’s one oversized bedroom, one and a half bathroom, dining room and a living room, with a beautiful antique free standing soaking tub with an attached shower handle.
Relax in the sitting room with exposed rock walls and wood beam ceilings throughout adding an authentic charm. The rustic kitchen with a full-size fridge, dish washer, gas range and oven, microwave, Toaster and kitchen utensils. The bedroom loft on the second floor including a spacious sitting area features a King bed and a Queen around the corner for privacy. Truly a one of a kind setting!
Guests are also welcome to a charcoal grill in the outdoor space (please bring charcoal and lighter fuel in the event we are low). Enjoy some R&R on he covered porch overlooking the valleys below with miles and miles of pure nature
We provide coffee and coffee maker, sweetener and creamer for all of our guests. All linens and towels are laundered and sanitized for each new guest!
This cabin is part of the Valle View Ranch which offers one more beautiful 1900’s log cabin. Please see our other listing for this one of a kind antique one story log cabin for a maximum of 2 guests.

Hi, my name is Petra Kagi - born and raised in Switzerland I have met my husband Mike on a trip to Texas 20 years ago and I felt instantly at home. Our ranch is nestled in the beautiful Palo Pinto Mountains, just 1 hours west of Ft. Worth.
We have successfully run a guest ranch for many years up until 2 years ago when we decided it was time for a change, sold the guest ranch and settled on this little chem of 55 acres just down the road. But we both soon realized that we missed the interactions with our beloved guests from all over the world and decided to rent out the two unique settler cabins from the 1900 and share our little paradise once more.
My passion are my job at the local veterinarian, my animals including 7 horses, 4 potbelly pigs, 3 cows, 2 dogs and 2 cats, nature, freedom, languages
