The place was very clean and spacious. We also liked that is was away from all the busyness from the center of Rome. It was minutes away from the Colosseum, St. Peter's Square and the other tourist hot spots. When we returned from the tourist spots, it was nice to have the quiet down time back at Raniero's place.Raniero was a great host! He was very accommodating and super gracious with requests. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay in this beautiful apartment was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The space itself is elegant and tastefully curated, filled with books and art that gave it a warm, lived-in charm rather than feeling like a typical rental. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we also used the sleeper sofa which exceeded our expectations. It was just as comfortable as a reagular bed. It did not feel like a sleeper sofa bed at all. Is was just perfect. The shower was a dream (truly!), and the bathroom was very spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We honestly didn't do much cooking since the restaurants in Rome are so incredible, but it was reassuring to know the kitchen was ready for anything.One of our favorite features was the lovely patio with comfortable furniture, and a palm tree that provided nice shade. It was a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the city.The intire place stayed cool even durning the hot June days. There is air conditioning, but we really did not need. Our host, Raniero, was wonderful, gracious, warm, and attentive throughout our stay. Between the elegant and calm location, the thoughtful design of the apartment, and Raniero's hospitality, this was one of those places that made it genuinely hard to leave. We'd return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

We enjoyed the quiet location beside the park and the excellent restaurants a short walk away. Raniero was an outstanding host who, upon arrival, gave us the lay of the land and remained available for local knowledge throughout our entire stay. PH1 offers the same location conveniences mentioned in my review of PH2 (yes, we stayed in both due to availability during our stay in Rome). Its king size bed, bottle of wine and water were appreciated. It's a little quieter due to its location in the building but hasn't been modernized to the same level as PH2. Raniero is a thoughtful host so you can't go wrong in either apartment.

Comfortable Apartment

Well appointed, spacious apartment with all you will need for a comfortable stay. Away from the congestion of tourists yet close enough to the main sights to walk or take a short ride. There are also excellent restaurants and a supermarket close by too.

The apartments are close to downtown but far enough from the tourists like you said. Public transportation is only a 5 minute walk and you can find a taxi at the taxi stop in Piazza Verde.

Lovely apartment for a wonderful stay

Raniero’s apartment was our perfect home from home for our 10 day stay in Rome. The location- very close to Villa Borghese is (in my opinion) the most peaceful and beautiful neighbourhood in Rome. The whole area felt very safe. The apartment was so well equipped with everything you could possible need for your stay. The apartment was beautifully presented and the huge Ralph Lauren bed was very comfortable. The outside space was an added bonus for a city stay. Raniero lives upstairs and was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. Thank you for a very memorable stay in the Eternal City.

Hello Roy, the kitchen and bathroom room were upgraded last year. I know you had a problem with the toilet but putting way too much toilet paper in the bowl would make any toilet overflow. Very smart idea on your part to use the toilet plunger. After that, all was fine. I have ordered a new glass shower door to replace the already new glass door since the older one is defective. The reason why the glass door went off it’s hinge is because your wife put to much pressure on opening or closing the self closing doors. An honest and normal mistake. The self closing sliding doors of the shower is too fragile for a vacation rental. Sorry for the inconvenience.. Sincerely, Hal

Excellent location and great host!

We loved our stay at The Palm House! It’s a beautiful private location with a lovely garden and patio. We could walk right into the Borghese gardens and museum. Easy walk to many landmarks. Hal helped orient us to the neighborhood and left us with maps, bus schedules and restaurant recommendations. Lots of space in the apartment and Hal had many nice extra touches for guests. A great host, highly recommend staying at this property!

Beautiful apartment and excellent host.

We had a wonderful stay at 9 via Nicolò Porpora. The apartment is lovely and the host, Hal MacMillan, graciously introduced us to the neighborhood. Having the beautiful Giardino Borghese so close and excellent restaurants, especially the Rossini's, made the stay perfect for us. I hope to return! Carol and Paul
