The fourth bedroom is located downstairs, and also has a queen sized bed and air conditioning. A full sized handicap accesible bathroom is attached.
A half bath is located adjacent to the kitchen.
We are 100 % solar hot water heated! Totally eco friendly. Unlike properties located on the beaches we actually have very good water pressure.
We are also totally solar electric powered for a renewable and green vacation experience!!
The kitchen is modern and well equipped, with marble countertops, and a gas stovetop and electric range. All necessary appliances, plates, silverware, etc. are included. The stainless steel dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer will keep you going.
The dining area is quite comfortable with two tables that sit four each, and a bar with two stools.
The living area is also quite comfortable with two couches, a chair and a 50 inch flat screen TV with cable, stereo and DVD player for your viewing pleasure. That's if you can drag yourself inside long enough to watch something, as most guests just want to be outside at the pool area.
The bottom floor double doors open onto a complete wrap around deck and the beautiful infinity edge pool. The pool has a built in waterfall, swim jet package, and sun shades installed for swimming rain or shine. It is the perfect place to watch the sun rise and set while enjoying the views with a cup of coffee or a toddy in your hand. There is ample seating on the deck for intimate conversation or partying with your friends. Jump in the pool or catch some rays on our comfortable reclining lounge chairs.
If your party is larger than eight we can provide air mattresses or there is an adjacent managers apartment that we sometimes rent out. Contact us for the additional guest fee. Though not as extravagent as the main house, it is quite comfortable with it's own kitchen, bedroom with Queen sized bed and bathroom and huge deck.
We can also arrange transfers to and from the airport in San Jose.
Attractions: Being midway between the two largest beach towns on the Pacific offers many advantages.
Jaco and Quepos offer the best restaurants and nightlife on the coast. Manuel Antonio the best beaches and coves. Los Suenos Resort and Marina, the best in all Central America, includes a world-class marina and championship golf course. The brand new marina in Quepos, Marina Pez Zela, along with Los Suenos, make this area one of the most wonderful bases of operation for sports fishing and snorkeling in all the world.
Adjacent to the estate is Sky Mountain Canopy, which boasts the highest, longest, and best zip line in all of Costa Rica. Paid admission to the canopy tour includes beautiful hiking trails and a real nice waterfall. We can walk, drive, or ride the horses to the waterfall. There is also a wonderful waterfall with 3 different pools (Tres Pilas) at the base of the hill. It is an easy drive and easy hike to these falls.
For those wanting to experience the real Costa Rica without the crowds there are six different beaches just a short half hour drive from the estate.
Some are perfect for swimming and some are world class surf beaches. All are great for picnics, walking, and watching the sun set. Playa Palo Seco, just outside Parrita, and Esterillos to our west, both have several little resorts with wonderful restaurants for memorial sunset dining. Parrita and Playon closer to the hill have many very good Tico restaurants for those who prefer the local cusine and culture.
We have maps and a GPS available. If you have a larger group, we can arrange transfers with a very reliable local driver in a very nice 10 to 12 passenger air conditioned van. We can usually get you a more affordable rate on transfers locally then you can get on your own.
We know a lot of cool places to go and you just sit back and relax.
We can also help arrange for a car rental with a very reputable firm in Jaco. They come and get you right at the airport and deliver you to Jaco where you sign he paperwork and drop off the driver. Driving in CR can be quite the stress-filled adventure, especially at night but once you are on the coast it is a piece of cake.
Our staff will take great care of you, and we strive to provide the most relaxed environment for your memorable vacation. Come stay with us and enjoy the REAL COSTA RICA!
Talk to you soon.

A Beautiful Mountain Retreat With An Amazing Owner!
We just returned from a wonderful week at the casa. From the very beginning of our stay, Randy, the owner was incredibly accommodating. He is an old soul who offered us the utmost kindness, cooperation, and consideration. He can tell a pretty good story too!
The house is on top of a mountain so it doesn't really have an address so Randy met us in Parrita. He knew we would be tired from our trip from the airport so he met us at a restaurant near the hill and sat and had dinner with us. He then brought us grocery shopping for a few items. He is fabulous!
The trek up to the house is an adventure in itself. Get a car with 4-wheel drive, Randy will help arrange for one through a local rent-a-car company. The road is dirt and steep. After the first day, it wasn't a surprise and it didn't bother us, we knew what we were in for. The kids looked for monkeys in the trees on the way and that entertained them.
We traveled with 11 people (4 adults and 7 kids) and Randy accommodated that by providing an air mattress for the extra kids. There are four bedrooms, the master is far superior to the others. It is gorgeous! I cannot say enough about the house, it is an incredible place to be. The pool is beautiful and kept cool by the shades hanging over it. Our kids spent most of their time there, in it.
From the balcony and patio you can see parrots, toucans, iguanas, frogs, and so many other things. The views were spectacular. Oscar took our kids horseback riding and since there were so many people, he ended up taking two different groups. The kids loved feeding the horses fruit scraps all week since they were stationed by the gate, roaming free, waiting.
Randy arranged for us to have someone cook dinner one night. It was delicious. Andrea came and made a full Costa Rican meal. Other than that, we cooked on our own, ate out a bunch while on excursions, and snacked during the day.
For excursions, we did zip lining on the hill. Randy arranged it. Fabulous! We all agreed it was our favorite activity. Randy went along and provided refreshments and a walking partner for the people who decided not to do it. We visited the La Iguana Chocolate Farm. That was my favorite trip. It is only about 40 minutes through the mountains from the house. It is a beautiful drive. Manuel Antonio beach is worth the trip to the park. We took a day trip to Uvita to walk on Whale's Tail and to visit a friend.
Stay with Randy! The trip was fabulous!
Beautiful Secluded Vacation Home
This was the perfect home for our family of 9, with great opportunities for relaxation and adventure in natural beauty. I can't imagine finding a better place for our vacation.
The casa is a secluded luxury home, set in the jungle at the peak of a mountain, 30 minutes from Parrita. The view from the wrap around balcony and the infinity pool was amazing. Flowering bushes, fruit trees, and coconut palms surround the house. We saw scarlet macaws, toucans, blue morphos, and other beautiful wildlife.
Randy was a very friendly, enthusiastic host. He reserved all our activities, took us on our first outings, and made sure we had a wonderful time.
It would have been worth the trip just for the casa. The balcony and patio had 3 hammocks and plenty of comfy furniture. The pool was one of our favorite activities, big enough for our whole family to play and relax together. We enjoyed foosball on the patio, and games and movies in the evenings. Snacks from the yard included fresh coconut water, pineapples, lemons, and oranges. Oscar and Randy helped us ride the 5 horses, fun even for those who had never ridden. Andrea cooked two excellent Tico suppers for us. Magally kept the casa very clean.
We loved the activities right there in the mountains. Sky Mountain Canopy (5 minutes) had 6 zip lines up to 700 m long, back and forth across a jungle valley. At Las Pilas waterfalls (20 minutes plus a short hike) we jumped from the cliff into the pool. La Iguana Chocolate Farm (45 minutes) let us see the whole process, taste cacao fruit and roasted nibs, make chocolate tea and candy from scratch, and enjoy a mountain Tico lunch. Our last night, we drove 20 minutes to a fun Tico rodeo.
We also enjoyed a beach near Parrita, shopping in Jaco (1 hour), and tours in Quepos/Manuel Antonio (1 hour) like the Mangrove tour and MA Park tour (Mauricio was a great guide for both), and Sunset Sails.
Driving a 12-passenger van with luggage tied to the roof, I was very nervous the first night up the narrow mountain road. But it got better, and was so worth it for the beautiful casa and retreat from crowds. The casa in the jungle may have more bugs and lizards than a resort, but we never saw a single mosquito or biting fly. The cicadas and birds are loud, but we loved listening to them instead of traffic and tourists. If you want a luxury setting in secluded natural beauty, this is it.
If we had to start over, staying at Casa Brisas would be the first thing we would settle on.
Thank you so much for putting your trust in us and bringing your family down to experience our little piece of paradise. It was my pleasure to be your host and get to know your wonderful family. That is exactly why we do what we do. Good luck in the future and I hope that our trails cross path again.
Happy Trails and Pura Vida
Randy and Claudia
An unforgettable vacation in paradise
This gorgeous home was perfect for our 4-generation-family stay. The graceful architecture and wood and tile finishing together with comfortable furnishings were a visual delight and meant that just hanging around home was relaxing and stress-free. The pool was great for everyone and was always a perfect temperature. After battling the crowds and heat at Manuel Antonio National Park we realized that we had everything a couple of steps away - monkeys, lovely birds, the resident iguanas - all were delightful at this comfortably cooler hill-top location. We were glad we had rented an SUV as it provided the freedom to pop down the hill and grab some beer and ice cream, or head deeper into the hills to explore the rural attractions, like La Iguana Chocolate Farm (incredible experience). Randy was a great host and lead us to local waterfalls and provided all kinds of helpful advice. Oscar took us on a couple of great trail rides which turned out to be quite exciting, getting up close and personal with the jungle! The horses were well-mannered and sure-footed and it was fun to feed them our fruit peelings every day. Pretty much everybody we met in Costa Rica was kind and gracious. We'd return to Casa Brisas de la Montana in a heart beat!
Thank you for bringing your family down to visit. What a delight to host such a wonderful, close knit family. It makes my job the best job in the world. Happy Trails and hope to see you down here again.
Simply Breathtaking!!! Brought tears to my eyes!
There was 9 of us total- all family and our first time to CR- It was a truly amazing experience. The casa was better than described, well maintained and absolutely spotless. The manager/owner- Randy was on site and treated us like royalty. If there was even the smallest problem...he was on it. He also arranged and advised us on excursions. We enjoyed the local zipline/waterfalls, sunset tour with snorkeling, sightseeing in Jaco, horsebacking riding on property, Manuel Antonio with guide, estuary fishing and amazing meals on and off property. A favorite was waking early to the jungle sounds and watching the monkeys swinging overhead. I highly recommend this casa to all ages. Note: the road up is a little rough- but definitely part of the experience....and besides...the view is from the TOP.
Breathtaking views. Splendid home.
This being my second trip to Costa Rica, having studied abroad there one summer, I was unaware that this trip would be more thrilling, more relaxing and even more authentic than I imagined.
Taking a rough, yet typical road of Costa Rica to the house, I was taken aback by the tropical mountain oasis. The house is in a most perfect location with picturesque views of terrain that starts in the mountains, runs through the rainforests and stretches to the ocean.
The clean and kept house itself is large with everything one needs: comfortable furniture, modern appliances and the perfect outdoor area complete with grill and pool. Waking up to the sunrise with the pleasant natural lighting in the home versus using the curtains started the day out right.
My sister did yoga amongst the tropical flowering bushes. We ate fresh fruit picked from the garden. Quiet morning walks to the front gate reminded me of the benefits of such seclusion. Toucans, macaws, monkeys, iguanas, butterflies and more visited the house daily, which is priceless.
Oscar assisted us with airport transfer among other things. Between him and the double gates, one felt extremely secure.
We took time to relax at the home, but adventured out in the provided Toyota SUV. Thrills included a zip line tour SO close to the home, the crocodile tour north of Jaco and the most thrilling of all, the nearby waterfalls.
Beach time was a must, so we visited Manuel Antonio, but my favorite was nearby Playa Esterillos, which was an almost private beach that day.
This house gave me a taste of the luxury of a resort and a central location to play tourist, but with the unbeatable seclusion and views, coupled with the genuine experiences of a Spanish-speaking oasis.
What you make of the trip is yours, and mine was once in a lifetime.
Wedding at Casa Brisas de la Montaña
Casa Brisas de la Montaña
When we decided to get married, we thought of celebrating our union in at unique and magical place, that would fill all our needs and our relatives too, that is why we chose Casa Brisas de la Montaña, a place that makes you feel at home and at Paradise at the same time, with an spectacular view and where you can see incredible sunsets, listen to the different species of birds especially toucans, scarlet macaws, squirrel and white face monkeys that are so friendly that they pose near the house, to celebrate our ceremony at Casa Brisas de la Montaña was a complete dream come true, and no doubt a meeting point for our families from now on.
