Thank you for taking time to leave your review of Sea Mist #4. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the fantastic views and the convenience of being right on the beach. We are very proud of all our Sea Mist rentals. The owners do a fantastic job of keeping everything in tip top shape. We are sorry to hear that you dealt with a “mildew” smell. Because of the constant high humidity, there sometimes is a musty smell in vacation rentals located directly on the beach. This is compounded by the fact that many guests tend to leave sliders open or open and close them frequently. (This also leads to A/C units having to work overtime to overcome the humidity and loss of cooling.) We have, however, passed your comments on to the Property Manager who will share them with the owner. Again, we appreciate your input and look forward to hosting you sometime in the future!

Thanks for your feedback. Each vacation rental home is individually-owned and the décor is the preference of the owner. While the pictures are accurate, your August stay landed at the end of a busy summer season and the rental may have appeared worn. Since your stay, the carpet has been replaced and minor repairs have been made. This rental home is part of a “economy collection” and is priced more affordably than other Gulf-front rentals due to the lack of upgrades. We’re sorry to hear of your disappointment and we hope you’ll allow the team at Newman-Dailey to assist you when searching for your Destin vacation rental.

Thank you for providing your feedback on Seamist Townhomes 4. We are delighted that you were happy with the location and rental but are sorry for the mildew smell and internet issues. It is a common problem for beach-front properties to have a musty smell due to our high humidity and proximity to the water. We do our best to combat this with humidifiers and premium air conditioners, but it can be an up-hill battle. There are a lot of variables that can affect Internet connectivity and we would have been happy to send someone out to trouble shoot. We are glad neither of these issues deterred you from enjoying your stay. Again, we are delighted you enjoyed this property and we look forward to hosting you again in the future.
