2. The house, like 99% of all lake homes on Lake Gaston, uses a septic system. This system is a finely balanced biological system. Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse.
3. Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Hummingbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves. Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats.(make sure to bring your bumpers!).
4. Culverts & Bridges: Be sure to lower your bimini top when going under bridges or through culverts. Appearances can be deceiving!
Security Camera Disclosure: We take your privacy very seriously. However, this home is monitored by exterior security cameras in the following locations: One ring doorbell camera front enterance that monitors the driveway & parking area.

This home was absolutely perfect for our family holiday gathering. I was so impressed at how stocked the kitchen was and there was so much space outside for the kids to play and fish at the dock! This house is a great place to disconnect and get outside. We would 100% love to stay here again. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

I thought that this was a beautiful home and my family and I really enjoyed our stay! My brothers did a little fishing on the pier, while the rest of us enjoyed the comforts of the screen-in porch. The home was more than accommodating with everything we needed.

Thank you for your kind words! We’re so glad to hear that you and your family had a great time at Loch Nest. It’s wonderful that your brothers enjoyed fishing off the dock. We’re happy the home had everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
We’d love to have you back anytime!
This rental had the best amenities! Our whole family had a wonderful experience. We brought our own boat but they had a training knee board that we borrowed to pull behind and the whole family had a blast! The house is updated and modern. We appreciated the ice maker, packaged sheets, game room, kids toys, kayaks, and multiple refrigerators. We had 8 adults and 4 kids and all fit comfortably in this house. So many great memories were made. This is definitely a place we would like to stay again!

Where do we start? This house is beautiful. A hidden gem tucked away in a quiet community within Lake Gaston. Nicely graveled driveway with plenty of space that feeds you onto a nice concrete driveway with ample parking and room. The gravel path is nicely cared for and feeds all the way to a two level dock with a lovely view of the lake. The house has plenty of space. The dedicated game room was fun for the kids and adults and provided a nice reprieve away from large group conversations, being outside, etc.The open kitchen/dining/living room is fantastic with plenty of room for our group of 12 to get around. Nice appliances and kitchen utensils. Laundry room, with additional fridge/freezer in a room adjacent.Main level TV was super easy to use.Basement stayed cool and served as main sleeping area for most. Never used TV down there, but sectional was very comfortable for the occasional nap. Basement also had a mini fridge.Screen in porch is so great and spacious. We spent a lot of time out there and really serves as another room for casual hanging/conversation/eating vs traditional open deck. Shaded and the screens are in great shape. Bottom level outside featured a sauna, hot tub, gas grill, fire pit and some outdoor games. Great layout and we spent time in those places throughout. The host was responsive and helpful throughout with our questions and a couple issues, which he sent someone out to handle promptly for. Contractors were very friendly as well.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Good:Linens & bed comfort was the best we have experienced during our travels.Access to dual refrigerators were very helpful.Response time from owner/property manager was adequate.Trash pick up was timely. Not so good: Water not available at boat house to wash down deck and water toys. Note: A technician did arrive shortly after reporting the issue, but the technician indicated that piping had failed during the winter and had not been replaced. A new pump was installed, but water was not available due to cracked water supply line.Newly installed kitchen ice maker did not operate correctly and leaked on the kitchen floor. Note: The old ice maker was still staged in the garage AND the technician sent to evaluate this issue taped a sign on the new device indicating “not to use”.1st floor 1/2 bathroom continuously ran. Note: A technician never addressed this issue. It ran continuously for the duration of our stay.Hot tub water was greenish. Note: Initially, we were advised that this was normal due to the use of well water. A technician did arrive to drain and refill the hot tub.Yard maintenance was performed during our stay.Boat house deck boards and stringers were severely rotted. Our son fell through the dock while mooring our boat rental. Note: A technician replaced the rotted stringers and deck boards.A technician sprayed and indicated removal of several nests prior to leaving.I would estimate 5 service calls; 6hrs work.
The house is even much nicer in person. Every detail was thought of. From a decoration perspective and comfort perspective. It was 14 of us, 6 adults and 8 teens and had plenty of room. Highly recommend.
