About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Welcome to our lakefront paradise. - A place where wonderful family memories are created!

We are located approximately 5 hours from Vancouver and 6 hours from Calgary. Although you are in your own private retreat surrounded by pristine scenery it doesn't take long to get to many of the ammenities and attractions that the Shuswap has to offer. From the cabin a five-minute drive will take you to an urban grocery with a wonderful bakery and deli, or a waterfront restaurant. A 10 minute drive will take you to one of the many golf courses in the area. There are a number of weekly farmers markets where you can buy anything from local produce and preserves to jewelery and pottery. The area boasts many talented artisans. A 25-minute drive will take you to the town of Salmon Arm, where you can enjoy a peaceful walk along the waterfront, a journey through a corn maze or one of the many festivals. Within a 30-minute drive you can enjoy three local wineries where you can taste and enjoy some local wines.

The cabin is right on the beach. Whether you are relaxing on the dock or on the deck, in the kitchen/living room, or on the bed you have an unobstructed lake and mountain view. It is nicely decorated with all of the ammenities of home. It has two levels. On the main floor you walk in off the deck to the kitchen/eating area and through to the living room. There is a double sofa bed in the living room. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a 3 piece bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has queen bunk beds. For cooking the kitchen is well equiped. You will find pretty much every cooking utensil you can think of and of course pots, pans, griddle, barbeque, blenders etc...

Whether you are travelling in the spring, summer or fall the Shuswap is a beautiful destination!

Keywords: Lakefront living with something to offer everyone. Whether you are into watersports, golfing hiking or just relaxing.

About Karen

We are busy proffesionals raising a family in Vancouver B.C. We have always enjoyed the outdoors and cherish our time relaxing at the Shuswap. Some of our best family memories have been created at the lake.

Karen purchased this cabin in 1993

Why Karen chose Shuswap Lake

We chose the Shuswap because of the pristine scenery, proximity to Vancouver and all of the ammenities. We chose this cabin because it is right on the lake!

What makes this cabin unique

Over the years we have had so many wonderfuly holidays here. The best way to start the day is with a coffee on the dock. We love waterskiing, tubing and swimming. I think our kids would tube all day if we took them. My husband is an avid golfer so of course he has to make sure he gets a few games in. There are four championship courses in the area to choose from, for myself I stick to the executive course. It seems we think we are chefs when we are at the lake. As we have created some of our most memorable meals here. Wrapping up the day is alway best sitting around the camp fire.

Serene Vacation

  • 4 of 5

Wonderful week...beautiful property. No neighbours when we were there which made it very serene. Loved the property...the dock..beach..deck. Beautiful sunsets and lightening shows. Inside was clean and modern with air conditioning downstairs and everything you would need in a kitchen. TV and wi-fi could be updated for those days or evenings you can't go outside. A week to remember!

Lovely Place

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful place. Everything included. TV but no cable or Satellite so we watched movies. Air Conditioning was great during the heat wave of 38C. Dock is nice and big and the BBQ works like a charm. The beach is very clean with nice gradual slope. Looking forward to

next summer!

Beautiful place!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I along with our 2 boys(8&6) just returned from paradise! This cabin is so cozy we did not want to come home. We had so much fun jumping off the dock and swimming in the lake everyday, all day! We ate so much ice cream. We loved the location of the cabin we were away from all the busy areas but still close driving proximity to everything. If you have a boat we highly suggest checking out Cooper Island, such a great place with nice hiking trails. We really enjoyed Margaret Falls and Salmon Arm Water Sides. If you enjoy wine the owners at Recline Ridge are wonderful people with some delicious wine! We would also like to thank the cabin owners who are very nice and very helpful, we really appreciated the binder with all the cabin information and maps to the area hot spots. We highly recommend this place to anyone, we are very much looking forward to coming back!

Beautiful place!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I along with our 2 boys(8&6) stayed in the beautiful, cozy lake side cabin for a week! We did not want to come home! This cabin is in a perfect location away from the busy tourist spots but still close driving proximity to everything! Our boys had so much fun swimming and jumping off the dock all day every day! Recommend going to Margaret Falls(just a short drive) and Cooper Island(in Blind Bay via boat) Beautiful, if you have kids the Salmon Arm WaterSlides are so much fun. We also went to so some wineries and found our favourite place Recline Ridge, the wine is excellent and the owners are wonderful people. We too ate tons of ice cream! Blind Bay Market has some yummy ice cream for such a great price! We also would like to make special mention of the cabin owners, they were very helpful and had a very nicely stocked cabin(especially the kitchen!) . We very much appreciated the binder full information on the cabin and some attractions nearby! Looking forward to coming back! Highly recommend this place to anyone!

Wonderful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Perfect week in an absolutely wonderful spot on the shoreline. Perfect for small family like ours, so easy to be there. We loved it and hope to rent again next summer. We have stayed in other places in this area and this one was the best to date. Awesome to be right on the water and have your beach and dock right there. Just a few steps from the road to your cabin, beach and boat!
