Perfectly placed with an amazing view and a welcome from a local deer who came to lay on our lawn in the heat of June 23rd.Many thanks for the help with the TV. Also sincere appreciation for the cleanliness. Dave.

Fantastic
This property was incredible! It checked off all of our boxes, and even the boxes we didn't anticipate. I would definitely recommend this property to others, and I would stay there again next time I'm in the area.
Great place to stay. Right on the lake. Large deck to sit outside on. Full kitchen and dining room to use. Plenty of parking. Very clean and comfortable. Not too far from Gravenhurst, good directions on how to get there. We really enjoyed our stay there. Also air conditioned, and they had the air on when we arrived.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week long vacation in Muskoka. Catherine's cottage is super clean and well appointed with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed relaxing on the dock, swimming in the clear water and canoeing around the nearby islands. Definitely a little bit of heaven. We would highly recommend this property.

We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay. We know how important cleanliness is to guests so we strive to make it perfect every time. And of course, we love it when guests enjoy the water and the surrounding area!
Well located property with wonderful views over Lake Muskoka from within the cottage or whilst sitting on its ample deck. Comfortable and well equipped. The canoe available for use by guests provided opportunities to explore the lake and you can swim from the cottages own dock. A wonderful and relaxing time enjoyed by all 4 of us.

We’re so glad that your enjoyed your stay and had the chance to swim and canoe on beautiful Lake Muskoka.
The cottage is spotless and offers amazing views. Very cozy interior!
We had an amazing weekend at thins cottage. Communication throughout was fast and seamless. The cottage was great, very comfortable and clean. The living room and master bedroom offer amazing views.
The outdoor deck and way down to the water show extensive wear and tear and will require some work but this did not have any impact on us as we didn’t have any children with us.
We will come again.

We’re very happy that you enjoyed your stay and the beautiful views of the lake.
The deck and stairs are scheduled for refurbishment but it is important to note that they are still safe and fully functional.
Many families with children have stayed at the cottage this summer with no concerns or issues.
A well maintained and safe cottage is very important to us and every year we do a number of upgrades, both exterior and interior.
Covid was a challenge for upgrades and repairs due to the shortage of lumber and labour in the construction trade. However, despite these constraints we managed to replace the roof and install a new furnace and new air conditioner during the spring and summer of 2022.
My husband and I stayed at this property for three days and two nights. There are no words to describe the view. It is spectacular. The cottage is super clean and has everything you need. I could have stayed a month.
My host, Catherine, was always available and responded quickly to any texts.
Definitely a 5/5 experience and just the recharge we needed.

I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and would have loved to stay longer. I do agree with you that the view of the lake from the cottage is amazing!
This cottage was perfect for our family of five! The views and setting are incredible and the cottage itself is well appointed- with everything you might need for your stay. The swimming is fantastic - about 7-8ft of clean & clear water to jump into from the dock. Our children loved it! There are quite a few stairs to get down to the water - which would be the only “watch out” for the property if you have anyone with mobility issues. Catherine, the cottage owner, was very accommodating and responsive. I would recommend this property without hesitation.

We’re so pleased you had an enjoyable stay. We agree that it is the perfect place to swim with crystal clear water. Also the beauty of being up high on the Canadian Shield is an unobstructed view from the upper deck and cottage windows.
Overall, we had a great time at this little family getaway. We were fortunate that the weather cooperated and that the dock was completed for the season!! Prior to the trip, Catherine emailed detailed instructions and a renters agreement that was very helpful! During our visit, we were able to connect with her promptly with any questions or concerns.
This cottage was very well furnished - fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils needed (even for the BBQ), wash/dryer, various life jackets available, lots of linens and towels, and extra pillows and comforters.
Catherine had a binder on the coffee table with very clear instructions for wifi, using the TV/remote controls, garbage and recycling rules, the BBQ, firepit and overall "Do's" and "Don'ts".
The location was great - just a 7-10 minute drive to local stores and shops! Sawmill Brewery was just 12 minutes away!
Since this is an older cottage, there are a few maintenance things that I'm sure will be fixed overtime (outdoor patio lights, lights down the patio stairs and bathroom faucets).
Although this cottage does not allow animals, unbeknownst to Catherine, someone must have snuck one in because there was animal fur throughout the cottage and on our bedsheets. Again, we let Catherine know and she was very apologetic. My suggestion would be a more thorough job by the cleaning company.
Another piece of feedback we shared was for new pillows and extra blankets. The pillows had sweat stains, were musty and weren't the comfiest (very flat). Since the extra blankets were stored in a wood chest, they were also quite musty (we ended up washing them before use). I would suggest storing them in a large plastic tote bin.
This was a very nice spot, just had a very little area areas that needed improvement :)

Thank you for your feedback and helpful suggestions.
As this is a personal family owned cottage and, unlike a hotel, does not have full time onsite maintenance crews there are occasionally a few maintenance items that are detected or reported when a guest leaves which can’t be fixed before the next renters arrive.
As an example it was determined last week by a plumber that the bathroom taps can’t be fixed and consequently brand new bathroom fixtures have been purchased and will be installed in both bathrooms next week (when the plumber is next available).
This cottage is very reasonably priced for the Muskokas, is very clean and neat and is well stocked with linens, towels, paper products, soaps, shampoos, free Internet, free satellite tv and more…….
Most cottages in the area providing the same amenities are considerably more expensive and while we would love to have new pillows and blankets for every rental that is not possible in a family owned cottage. If soiled linens or bedding are noted or brought to our attention (by renters or the cleaning service) we take the appropriate steps to rectify the problem.
Perfect for our family of 6 long weekend vacation. Close to Huntsville, Parry Sound, and Bracebridge. ATV trails within driving distance. Colours this time of year were very pretty. Parking is shared with another property and not clearly laid out as to where to park so clarify before you go. Queen bed was super comfy but bring a topper for each of the double beds…really hard.

So glad that you enjoyed your stay at Muskoka’s Little Bit of Heaven!
Our family was extremely satisfied with our stay at this beautiful property.
Catherine was a amazing host. The cottage was equipped with everything you can think you will need. I was so impressed.
We stayed in many cottages before , here and other countries, ... But never in one like this. One think that always got our family a bit unhappy, was the lack of privacy from the owners of the others vacation rentals..... But this did not happened with this vacation, Catherine gave was the space to be free to enjoy her cottage.
Thank you again for the amazing time
