Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6-8)
This is our family cabin on the lake, and we've decided to share it will a few lucky families. This is a quiet and beautiful lake with a fantastic, ever-changing view in the heart of the Amish rolling hills. Loons, Herons and eagles are common here, and I'm sure you'll see lots of other wildlife. This a clean, spring fed no-wake lake and there is good fishing as well. It's located on the end of a cul-de-sac, so nothing but woods on one side. We spend most of our time on the deck enjoying the lake, or down near the water or on it. Inside the cabin, I'm sure you'll find it spacious (around 1300 square feet). It has an open floor plan, and is full of contemporary Michigan art from downstate. The master bedroom is quite large, and the other two bedrooms are somewhat smaller. The master has a king sized bed that can split into two twins. BR2 has a bunk bed in it, and BR3 has a full sized bed. The bathroom is average sized with a tub and shower. Everything is clean and functional. There is a television with DVD player, and a decent sized library of DVD movies. Limited television reception.

About Ray Crucet
I'm an engineer at a firm in Oakland County, and have lived in the area for 40 years. We're new to renting a cabin, but we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Ray Crucet purchased this Cabin in 2010
Why Ray Crucet chose Mitchell
We bought this cabin for the great view and waterfront access and beach. The cabin was built by the owner of a hardware store chain, and we were impressed by the design and quality of construction. We love this area, and have been coming to this lake for almost 15 years.
What makes this Cabin unique
The cabin is at the end of a cul-de-sac, so nothing but woods on one side, and of course the lake. Chances are you won't see any neighbors. Huron National Forest and the AuSable river are just a few miles away, with hundreds of miles of trails for hiking or ORV.
Sports & Adventure Activities
Amazing week of R&R
This cabin on the lake is a perfect get-a-way for relaxing and unplugging. We enjoyed the canoe, swims across the lake and the wildlife (deer, chipmunks, turkeys, porcupine, raccoon and hummingbirds). The late afternoon bonfires were a great end to the day. Nice drives to some amazing Amish baked goods was the final touch. Hope to visit again!
Had a fantastic time, for a family of 4 (1 five month old and 1 three year old) it was perfect. Beach and lake were great, very calm and quiet, lots of wildlife, caught a few fish right off the dock, took a few trips on the canoe as well. Very up north and away from it all. Place was clean, owner was great, would recommend to friends and family
My family had a wonderful time at this cabin! It is wonderfully built and comfortable. The no-wake lake is peaceful and fun. Great fishing right off the shore or boat dock. We caught about 5 different species of sunfish (black and olive Crystal Buggers were favorites). Excellent hiking trails a short drive away.
Late September Trip
We spent a week at the cabin in late September and had a great time. It is very quiet around the lake at this time of the year, which we enjoyed. Took the canoe out a couple of times, but did not get any fish:( The house is very cozy and worked well for us (4 adults + a dog). The outside temperature late September can be a little chilly, so the fireplace was great. Communication with Ray was excellent, and we would definitely consider coming here again.
This was our first stay at this location, having vacationed at another location for the past 12 years. The weather was perfect. The lake and the entire area was quiet. If you are looking for a get-a-way where no one will disturb you, this is the place. Shared our s'mores with two baby raccoons. Wish we had found this place sooner.
ORV trailhead is nearby in Mckinley, and you can ride your dirt bike on the side roads to it. Tubing nearby at the Au Sable river. Bridle trails in the nearby Huron National Forest. Michigan Au Sable Valley small gauge railroad. Lots of hunting nearby, and great areas for Morel mushroom hunting as well. Our lake is a no-wake lake, and the boat launch is nearby. Please use the boat launch at the public beach for launching boats. Pull your pontoon boat right up on our beach. Canoe and rowboat available to renters. Firewood available nearby in town. I have tubes you can use. I have a beanbag toss game stored. Just ask. Here is a google map with other nearby sites http://g.co/maps/urtc7
