About Stacy Campbell

I was born and raised in Maine. World traveler who spends my summers in Maine to be close to my family. Campbell Compound was built by my father and has been my house since childhood. Its the love of my life. I love meeting new people and sharing the beauty of this place with others. I work locally and spend my days active, surrounded by good friends, good books, drawing and playing in the summer sun.

Why Stacy Campbell chose Rockport

I grew up in the house and take pride in making it more beautiful every year. Its the most perfect place in Mid-coast Maine. My own little honey hole.

What makes this cottage unique

The lake is this house's main attraction. All things revolve around the weather and lake settings. The mornings are serene and calm perfect for paddle boarding. In the evenings the sun sets in between the two mountains directly across the lake. There is always a lite breeze and loons to fall asleep to. The sound of the brook running through the property will lull you to bed at night.

Perfect for our family!

  • 5 of 5

This little cottage was a marvelous hidden getaway. Right on the lake was just how we like it. My children are 16, 8, and 6, trying to find a place that suits them can be tricky but we found it fit us perfectly here. We enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking. Our golden retriever was able to stay with us which was very convenient, he loved the endless hours of swimming too.

Just a 7 minute ride to the ocean to take our boat out for the day an added bonus. Right in between both towns gave us many options. We loved this property, it’s privacy and ability to just relax on the beach. We can’t wait to tell our friends!

Beautiful, peaceful, & relaxing getaway spot

  • 5 of 5

The Campbell Compound is exactly as pictured and described. The lake is clean and refreshing, the location is perfect for either relaxing by and/or on the water or for exploring the surrounding coastal towns. The cabin itself is simple but stocked with all the essentials, and Stacy is always just a text message away if there are any issues or needs. A wonderful place to stay!

We were pleasantly surprised by this place

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in Four Seasons Resorts and our family was at the Samoset this past weekend...this place takes the cake! Great shallow lake for kids, clean and well maintained residence, and plenty of sunlight. Owner is very responsive via text which is nice because email can be annoying or cumbersome away from home. We slept so well with the cool air coming in at night. I suggest they get some better pictures because we really were surprised at how nice it was here. Kids also loved the loft and both could also fit on the couch. We would definitely go back!

Wonderful Place!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was perfect. The house was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. My only regret is that I didn't rent it for more time. The location couldn't have been better as it is less than 10 minutes from downtown Rockland, with a quick drive to all the best of the Midcoast. The owners are delightful people. I would definitely stay there again.

A gorgeous little getaway

  • 4 of 5

I loved this place so much I came back. It was a little disheartening to learn that the next door neighbors would be having a family reunion with over 100 people while we were there, and there were some issues with dogs running around the property one day, but overall it was exactly as I remember.

We did have to leave a day early, as there's no air conditioning and my 13 year old beagle got heat stroke. Just something to keep in mind if you have a special needs or older pet. Otherwise this is a very pet and family friendly place.
