About Eden Edwards
Managers/Owners Michael and Eden live in Boston and have enjoyed summers in Plymouth for several years. Michael grew up spending summers on Manomet Beach, and family resides on Old Beach Road and is nearby for emergencies or assistance.
Eden Edwards purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Eden Edwards chose Plymouth
We have enjoyed the area and couldn't resist the opportunity to recently purchase, with family, this great cottage. It's steps from a fresh-water pond for fishing and swimming. The beach is a short 2-block walk down a quiet road. A wonderful affordable and delicious family restaurant (with an ice-cream window) is at the other end of this same road. Everything you need can be found within a short drive: grocery and liquor stores; CVS; coffee shop; ice cream parlor; salons; public library; an upscale restaurant with an outdoor bar. For day trips, you are a quick ride from a couple of great golf courses, shopping areas, theater, a summer playhouse, various additional beaches, the town of Plymouth (for historical sightseeing); and you can be on the Cape or in the city of Boston in less than an hour's drive. or even the Cape.
What makes this Cottage unique
We have rented vacation homes in beach areas and like to imagine our guests are as comfortable, inside and out, as we have been at our favorite rental homes. This home is comfortable and convenient in so many ways. There are 3 bedrooms -- one has a queen-sized bed and is connected to a large bedroom with 2 twin beds, each with a pull-out trundle. Another bedroom has a full-sized bed and the living-room sofa pulls out for more sleeping room, if necessary. Unique features include a large screened side porch for relaxing afternoons/evenings. Outdoors, there is plenty of parking; an outdoor shower; a grill; laundry line; a huge yard for BBQs, picnics, and games. And, of course -- the beach is only a 2-block walk!

A well equipped cottage
This is a quirky cottage with a five minute walk to the beach and a yard big enough for wiffleball or bocce. The kids thought it was great. The air conditioning was welcome during a very hot week. There's plenty of kitchen equipment but not much counter space. Sheets and towels were supplied but beds were a bit lumpy. Internet and TV were very good. The location is convenient to a supermarket, pizza shops and restaurants. If you are interested in Pilgrim history, Downtown Plymouth is only 20 minutes away.
Reminiscent of Lodge in the Woods . . . very serene
The Albanos are the perfect hosts / hostesses. They are very accomodatting and they have supplied everything that you could possibly need. All you need to bring are your clothes. The nearby beaches and pond are perfect places to gather your thoughts and enjoy nature. This destination is truly a retreat from the city.
Great cottage in fantastic location
This cottage is very nice. Four beds in three bedrooms. Great screened porch and outdoor shower.
Even better is the location. Co-located between beatutiful cliff overlooking the ocean and a nice, warm, quiet pond. Really a very special place.
Owners are great to work with and close by. Loved the welcoming bottle of wine!
Very relaxing and clean
This is a wonderful cottage - the area has a nice beach vibe but with the privacy of a wooded area. A basic house with no frills, but a pretty open-beamed living room and airy feel. Everything is freshly painted and spotlessly clean, with shiny wood floors. Two bedrooms are large, one is average sized. The screened porch is large and peaceful. The loft areas could be fun but aren't set up for sleeping. The outdoor shower has warm water (love!) and the owners said they're building an enclosure around it.
It was well furnished with new, comfy beds and sofa bed and all the utensils, small appliances, and extras that you could want. The nice owners live next door and made sure we had everything we needed. The yard is very large and private. It's a short walk (about 2 blocks) to a private beach. Most beaches in the area have steep staircases but this one has a ramp, which was easier for hauling beach supplies. It's a typical rocky Plymouth beach but the kids wore water shoes and had a blast playing on the boulders and hunting for crabs. Part of the beach is sandy for lounging.
There's a nice family restaurant 1/4 mile away for meals and ice cream. A short drive to stores and more restaurants. It's a 15 minute drive to downtown Plymouth with lots of history, cute shops, great restaurants, and gorgeous harbor. One day we drove onto the Cape to visit Sandwich and that was a quick drive.
We were thrilled with the house and with the Manomet location. We've spent many vacations on the Cape but Plymouth is so convenient for visiting family in the Boston area and also for day trips to the Cape. We'll definitely be back!
