The start of a great trip we very much enjoyed our stay in Monica’s great little place.

We very much enjoyed some quiet time here both heading to the coast and returning from the coast. Monica showed us around the property and we loved sitting in the garden eating ice cream and watching the river flowing by. It is a very clean and neat place that we definitely would return to.

Visiting the Gorge area

We loved the garden area and being able to sit outside and enjoy the view. Nice little cottage gor a long weeked. Monica was very helpful during our stay.

Even better than the photos depict. Cute and cozy room, luxurious bathroom with an amazing shower. I appreciated having designated parking off the street and in the shade. Loved my short stay here and would definitely stay again. Monica is an excellent host.

This lovely room in a garden setting was soothing and welcoming after our long drive. Roomy, modern bathroom adjoins a bedroom/sitting room. From the side yard, with two adirondack chairs, is a fantastic view of the Columbia River. The bed was good and there is a Keurig for coffee in the morning. We could walk to at least three good restaurants downtown on Second Street.

Lovely stay

Comfortable bed, quite little stay with beautiful view from your bed looking over Columbia river. Amazing yard filled with flowers and a lovely fire pit viewing the river. Host was very sweet and put great detailed in the stay for a calm visit. And the shower was amazing

Monica is a lovely host with a wonderful home. Her rental is perfect for anyone looking to have a relaxing, peaceful evening. I had a migraine when I arrived and the shower and outdoor space did wonders. The yard is beautiful, the cottage has everything you might need. It was great. Thank you!

Super cute little ADU with neat bathroom and comfortable bed. We had everything we needed for our stay while visiting family. An electric blanket was even provided since it’s getting cold out but the central heat was plenty to keep us warm. When it’s light out there is a nice view of the Columbia. Water and sodas are provided in the mini fridge in the bathroom and a Keurig with an assortment of coffees/ tea/ hot cocoa pods. We will definitely stay again if available next time we need to stay in The Dalles.

We had a beautiful stay at this cozy, welcoming site. The owner met us and gave us a tour of her garden, and made us feel at home. The size of the room was perfect for us! It had all of the important services and a beautiful, secluded area outside in the garden with a private view of the Columbia River. It was so perfect that we didn't want to go to a restaurant, so we got sandwiches and sat outside enjoying the view. Parking was close by, the bathroom was beautiful, the bed was comfy, and the ease of getting in with the code was seamless! The privacy you get with this place makes it hard to leave! Many options for groceries and restaurants in The Dalles! Definitely recommend!!!

We loved this little space. But we roasted. Wasn’t willing to wake the host to have her crank up the ac. The square footage listed is 1600 square ft but I believe that may be for the whole house. We just had access to the bedroom, bath and hallway in between.

You stayed on a night when it was 107 here, so yes it was hot, and I do crank the air conditioner (central air, new system) prior to your arrival a few hours, and throughout the night. I do provide an evaporative cooler, and ice to load it, snd noticed you guys had not used it. Thank you for your feedback. That room has a bay window that hangs over the air, and you can feel the weather more in that room. That being said, I’m mortified you were roasting! I have special windows that open on the side, and do not fit a regular portable air conditioner setup. I’m going to look into what I can do to remedy the few days of extreme heat we get here in summer. Not sure where it’s listed as 1600 sq feet, because I did not say that on the listing. The house is overall much bigger than 1600 sq feet, and I list this space as exactly what it is, and 400 sq feet. I’ll have to look into it and see where it says that. Overall you guys were not communicative & friendly at all, quite different from other travelers, and in a situation like this it’s preferred that you address the host with any concerns. Sorry you did not ask for help.

Comfortable space, very well done

The foliage around this property is beautifully, thoughfully arranged. We were very relaxed sitting outside during sunrise. The bed is very comfortable and we slept sound. It’s also quiet and had enough space. The bathroom was very clean, two sinks and an amazing shower. Coffee, water and ice packs were offered. We were beyond satisfied with this property.

We had such a wonderful weekend staying in this charming little garden room! The space was incredibly cute and cozy, with a private entrance that made it feel peaceful and tucked away. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, which was a really nice bonus, and having a small fridge made it easy to keep snacks and drinks on hand after long days of hiking.One of our favorite parts was the outdoor area—the firepit overlooking the river created the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings. It was so relaxing to sit out there and take in the view after exploring all day.The owner was very kind and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed while still giving us our space. Overall, it was the perfect home base for a weekend of hiking and enjoying the beauty of the area. We would absolutely stay here again.
