We all love our stay over Christmas! Magnificent view, enjoyed the Christmas tree and the outdoor hot tub waiting for us. Kitchen well equipped for preparing family meals. Would love to come back. Thank you for the hospitality!
We really enjoyed the place. Everything is there to make it enjoyable. However, we arrived during a big storm and our power was off all evening and there were no emergency lights or flashlights. We used our phones until our batteries died. Power came back the next morning.
gorgeous views, our family loved staying here. something to note: 3 bedrooms and 1 more possible in downstairs living room area with pullout couch. 2 and a half bathrooms. 2 full bathrooms and 1 powder room.
High end appliances, beautiful furniture, the most comfortable couch and decor was very aesthetically pleasing. Some small things were lacking however such as can opener didn’t work, coffee machine took extremely long. Toaster needed to be watched or else toast is burned etc. for a place of this class those minor things should be up to par. Ps maybe consider adding some parasols. We could t stay in the hot sun.
All in all it was a wonderful stay. But please look into the details.
The chalet was impeccable when we arrived. It is spacious and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen and nice model barbeque. I couldn't figure out how to turn on the gas for the barbeque and I e-mailed the team, who responded within 5 minutes and even sent someone over to show me where the valve was about 10 minutes later. The view is very nice and, while we could tell there were neighbors not far away, it was quiet and peaceful. We all thought the best feature was the huge couch! My suggestions for the owners are (1) purchase some room-darkening blinds for the master bedroom - the room faces directly east and blindingly bright at 6:00 am and I was surprised that a rental property of this caliber did not have them; and (2) install a proper staircase with a railing from the driveway down to the house. Why in 2025 would owners of a rental property want to make it inaccessible? There are many people with reduced mobility, bad knees, poor eyesight etc. Yes the large rocks instead of steps look cool but a rental property should be accessible to all potential clients. This one aspect of the house really annoyed me for philosophical reasons.
We stayed here in August of 2023. The house is beautiful and well-equipped. Like all places I’ve ever stayed, there are never enough towel racks to hang towels and wet clothes. And I would have appreciated a guide book to tell us how to work the TV system, the washer/dryer, and the AC system -- but these are small quibbles.
We really liked the location as it is central to many things we wished to do. We went whale watching in Tadoussac (2 hour drive north), hiking in Parc National des Hautes-Gorge-de-la-Riviere-Malbaie (about an hour northwest), hiking in Parc National des Grands-Jardins (under an hour), kayaking in St. Irenee (1 hour north), and strolling and dining in Quebec City (1.5 hours south). Baie-St.-Paul is the closest town, about 10-15 minutes away. It is a charming little town with many restaurants, grocery stores (we shopped at IGA a lot), and an excellent chocolatier. While it is true that you are unlikely to find any food places that will deliver to this house, there are plenty of places in Baie-St.-Paul to buy pizza, sandwiches, or other prepared foods to bring home. You can’t expect food delivery if you’re paying for a peaceful setting to get away from it all! Having said that, be aware that you can hear people at nearby properties at night. The development itself, Domain Charlevoix, has its own hiking trails, a pond, and a playground if you don’t want to drive anywhere. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Our family had a really lovely stay. This cottage has a beautiful scenery overlooking St Lawrence and iles-aux-coudres. Kitchen was well stocked and had some basic pantry items. Well situated to Baie saint Paul -under a 20 minute drive.
Our only inconvenience was that the water kept shutting off during our stay. Thankfully, the property manager had someone come within the hour on both occasions.
Belle semaine. Nous le recommandons.
Third time visiting this area for skiing at Le Massif. Close enough and can enjoy the town of Baie St Paul. Home was bright, clean and comfortable. Beds were great . Kitchen well supplied with all one would need. Lots of seating both for dining and relaxing. Sun comes into home and makes for a bright way to start your day. Certainly would recommend for everyone including children.
