Overview

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 10)

Indulge yourself in this genuine getaway to relax on the deck with drink in hand while enjoying the lake view and fresh pine scented air. Breathtaking views, private beach with a canoe to explore the area and water only a few steps from the log cabin make this place a fun filled family retreat. Campfires at night to make s'mores, or a warm fire in the indoor pellet stove creates a cozy retreat you won't forget.

Don't be fooled by the tranquil setting though as kids and kids at heart will make the place come alive with water play and activities that bring your family together. From your private dock you can do such things as swimming, fishing, boating, skiing, tubing, jet skiing, and all water sports you can imagine.

The dock to sunbath on or tie up your boat for all of your play is located directly below the cabin. The cabin also has a large deck with swing, table and bench seating all around to enjoy the vista's and watch your friends and family below in the water. A barbecue on the deck makes outdoor cooking a breeze and a pebble beach with sloped entry into the water enables easy beach play.

For those last minute needs there is a charming little grocery store at Beauty Bay where you can also gas up your car or your boat only 2 miles away from the cabin.

For those that want variety and other options:

Biking or hiking on nearby trails is available on the Centennial Trail, many National Forest Trails and the Hiawatha bike path spanning several miles though tunnels and over bridges. For the thrill seekers the Silverwood Amusement Park is only 60 minutes for a day of fun at the park. A few miles away in downtown Coeur d' Alene or Spokane you will find shopping, restaurants and theaters. A world class golf course, Coeur d' Alene Resort Golf Course is just around the lake and has the worlds only floating green!

This is the perfect setting to create a lifetime of memories and experiences for all ages.

Everyone arriving in cars must be able to navigate a long staircase outside to get to the property. Older people or people with difficulty walking can be boated over to the property from a dock located in nearby Beauty Bay or from several other public docks in the area.

About Lori Fascilla

This family vacation spot was purchased in 1960 by our parents who had 5 kids and have shared this treasure with family and friends since. The little cabin at the top of the hill, pictured in black and white was the original property. Our parents along with all of us kids, friends and other family built the lower log cabin with the front post positioned a couple of feet from the lake.

We want to share this special piece of Idaho with others who will appreciate a getaway that is only minutes from entertainment that's sure to please the entire family.

Lori Fascilla purchased this cabin in 1960

Why Lori Fascilla chose Lake Coeur d'Alene

There is no place more beautiful than Lake Coeur d' Alene and we have spent our entire lives with this place as our constant no matter what else happened or where we lived in the United Sates, we've always considered Coeur d' Alene to be HOME!

What makes this cabin unique

All water activities you can imagine on a lake are possible as well as biking, hiking, trails galore, four wheeling, horseback riding, huckleberry picking, Silverwood amusement park, golfing at the only golf course with a floating green and not far from restaurants and shopping!

A great way to relax!

  • 4 of 5

This is a great rustic cabin and is stocked with everything you need. The cabin is right on the water and we loved the close proximity. We enjoyed the hot sun on the dock, yet the cabin remained cool for sleeping. This was our second stay, and we love the place! This could easily be a five star rating if the mattress in the master bedroom was upgraded.

Charming lake cabin

  • 5 of 5

We recently returned from a wonderful vacation at this charming little cabin. From the moment we booked Lori answered all our questions and was very pleasant to work with. When we arrived we made our way down the 96 steps (which I thought added to the charm of the place) onto the deck which had the most amazing view of the lake. The living space is small but the giant Windows make it feel a lot more open. The kitchen table and chairs (made out of old barrels) were so comfortable and so much fun to sit at and play card games. The loft has two twin beds with twin trundle beds underneath. All 4 of my children slept very comfortably up there. The other two rooms were very comfortable as well. Our favorite place to be was jumping off the dock, paddling around in the canoe or kayak, or by the campfire at night. It was such a magical trip! I can't wait to come back!

Better than expected.

  • 5 of 5

This lake house is much nicer in real life than what the pictures show. The cabin itself is small but that isn't an issue with the huge deck and ample seating. I loved how close we were to the lake. Booking the rental was super easy and everyone we interacted with from booking to check in was super nice. The house was very clean and we loved the large dock. We swam for hours, grilled hamburgers, played board games. It was a great vacation at a great location. This property is not suitable for anyone that is physically disabled, or elderly. To get to the lake house you have to walk down a super steep and long staircase. I am 31 years old and physically active, but after hauling the bags for my wife and I and our children plus our food cooler I was feeling exhausted. I would recommend that you pack lite, get what you can in a backpack and call it good besides the food supplies you will need. Our queen sized bed was also very comfortable. I would rent this house again in the future.

Beautiful Holiday!!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a 12 day vacation at this beautiful property!!! We are extensive travellers and have rented many vrbo properties and can say, without any hesitation, that this property was exactly as described and even better!!! The cabin was clean and so well stocked and the views were utterly breathtaking!! We spent most of our time on the beautiful wraparound deck looking out at the gorgeous scenery. The water was crystal clear and the dock was always sunny, morning and afternoon. We brought our boat and had no trouble tying up to the dock safely. The water seemed to be always calm in front of the cabin so we did a lot of water sports just off the dock. We were a 10 minute boat ride over to Coeur d'Alene and easy 20 minute drive by car. Beautiful property and wonderful owners. All we could have ever hoped for! We will return!

Great getaway

  • 4 of 5

From the first correspondence with Lori to our last day, it was a great experience. The Delyea cabin is just what you'd want in a lakeside cabin: rustic, charming, quiet and a fantastic view of the lake. It was well stocked with just about everything you could need and more. Just bring food and toiletries. Plus there are games, books and movies. It felt just like our own place, like we'd been coming here for years (this was our first). The only downside we found were the 96 steep steps so plan accordingly. We don't have a boat but if you do, it would make the experience that much better. There is a canoe and kayak which we used and loved having them. All in all, we highly recommend the Delyea cabin.

Beautifully simple cabin

  • 5 of 5

Upon arrival one descends 98 steps to a fairly private and perfectly rustic cabin on the water. The cabin was clean and well equipped . The gated wrap around deck sits above a groomed firpit area and gravel walkway to the sturdy dock. Inside you will find a small, but ample kitchen and pellet stove inviting family room. We enjoyed our time by/on the water by day and mother nature's spectacular light show thru endless windows at night. I agree that small children and older guests would be hard pressed to make the stairway descent easily, but they provide some intermittent mid vacation cardio/workout.:). The nearest grocery store is 30 mins away by car...so pack accordingly. This magical family maintained cabin will now be a part of our forever memories as it was a magical place to get ENGAGED. Cheers and thank you Delyea family.
