A stunning piece of history in the Rialto area.
This palace is an historic building located in San Polo, near the Rialto Bridge. It was built at the end of the seventeenth century by a noble venetian family, and has remained in the family since then. Not far from the Grand Canal, it commands its own small square in the quiet of a lovely neighbourhood.
The Palazzo is actually a very large luxurious apartment which occupies the Piano Nobile (the most significant floor) of the four-story family palazzo.
The most striking feature of this imposing apartment is its enormous Gallery/Grand Hall, which runs almost the full length of the apartment. It has well-regarded museum quality paintings on its walls, very tall windows and a wooden ceiling.
The palazzo is elegant and luminous. There is wonderful antique furniture throughout. Significant artwork, and family heirlooms.
A Noble family house: The palazzo is elegant and luminous. There is wonderful antique furniture throughout, significant artwork, and family heirlooms. Important frescoes in the sitting rooms and dining room by Hayez and Borsato (who worked at La Fenice) have been recently restored. Several rooms have silk-covered walls. The library walls are covered in original mahogany cupboards for books. From the tall windows of the apartment there are views of gardens and rooftops of Venice. These views can also be enjoyed from a large terrace with lovely plantings, tables and chairs. Several rooms have fireplaces. The family regularly uses this apartment, so guests will enjoy the feeling of an exclusive and magnificent Venetian home.

Stay at Palazzo Albrizzi
I stayed here with a group of friends and it was the most amazing place I've ever stayed! Marcela who works on the property is an amazing cook and a big sweetheart. She was also very knowledgable of the neighborhood and where to shop. We had a lot of space and it was a very lovely experience.
This was a really great place to stay. Location is quiet, safe, and located near the famous Rialto Market and Bridge. The owner, Riccardo, works well to provide clear directions and instructions. The Chef/housekeeper, Marcella, is extremely helpful and cooks the most amazing meals. I will return. THANK YOU.
Amazing historic place
So much atmosphere and history. Really helpful staff and owner.
A magical experience in the heart of Venice
A group of 20 friends recently ended a 2 week European vacation with a 4 night stay at 3 units in this marvellous palazzo. It was a perfect way to end our trip and a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience life as a true Venetian. The grand receiving room is stunning. The other rooms have lovely touches and antiques and the owner provides interesting information about the history of the palazzo and the family. Beds are comfortable, the home is spotless and the location perfect. Nestled in a quiet square less than a 10 minute walk to the Rialto bridge and 5 minutes from the vaparetto. The owner was friendly and helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
As wonderful as the palazzo is, what really put the experience over the top was the cook, Marcella. Every day she made us breakfast and either lunch or dinner. Everyone agreed they were the best meals we had in Venice. She even accommodated our request for a special Thanksgiving day feast with turkey and everyone thought it was the best turkey we had ever tasted! Although there was a language barrier, that became part of the fun, as we communicated through an exchange of broken English and Italian supplementing her lively charades enacting recipe ingredients and directions. She was a delight - always smiling and laughing and making us feel so welcome. The cost of the unit was more than made up for by our savings in food and wine (you pay for ingredients and she makes whatever you want). She is an absolute treasure!
I can't recommend this place too highly. A very special home for a very special trip. Thank you so much.
Great historic property
Very interesting place to stay highly recommend
OUTSTANDING PLACE WITH WONDERFUL COOK/HOUSEKEEPER
Brought a group of 6 teenagers here for a wonderful 4 days in Venice. Staying in the palazzo is like stepping back in history. Great, quiet location but close to everything. Very clean, well maintained. Best of all was Marta, the lovely, warm cook/housekeeper, who took wonderful care of us and cooked us fabulous dinners every night. Would highly recommend particularly if you have a large group.
The location of Palazzo Albrizzi is excellent for enjoying Venice. The flat is in the Rialto bridge area. It's 12 minutes walking to get to Piazza S. Marco and Palazzo Ducale. There are two waterbus stop 5 minutes away, but there are so many things you can reach just walking ! The Frari Cathedral and S. Rocco School. The Accademia and, if you are interested in modern and contemporary art the Guggenheim Museum and Palazzo Grassi. Rialto is a very lively place with its fish and vegetable market every morning, and an endless choice of restaurants and wineries where you can enjoy some delicious and savoury finger food along with a glass of prosecco wine.
