Esta es una casa grande con 5 dormitorios dos de los cuales son en suite. En la planta baja hay una gran cocina con horno, vitrocerámica y lavavajillas y lavadora, un comedor, un salón y un aseo de planta baja.
Planta baja: dormitorio en suite con ducha y cama king size. (duerme 2) Primer piso hay tres dormitorios y un baño familiar. Una cama doble grande con una cama king size y una cama individual plegable (para 3 personas) Una habitación doble grande con cama king size, un pequeño sofá y una cama individual desplegable. (Duerme 3) La tercera habitación en el primer piso es una habitación doble pequeña que tiene una cama individual con un nido extraíble debajo. (duerme 2)
En la planta superior (habitación tipo loft) hay un dormitorio con baño y dos camas individuales. Esto tiene un cuarto de baño con bañera. Cuenta con un techo inclinado y es más adecuado para alguien que no es tan alto.
El jardín es mayormente césped. No dude en preguntar si necesitas algo que no se puede encontrar. Puede haber bicicletas disponibles para usar si desea explorar el área local, ¡solo tiene que preguntarnos!
Los huéspedes tienen uso privado de la casa principal y el jardín.
Nosotros (los propietarios) tenemos un anexo independiente a un lado / frente de la casa y tenemos nuestra propia entrada privada al lado. Es posible que estemos allí de vez en cuando. Los huéspedes entran por la puerta principal y son completamente independientes. West Wickham es una zona preciosa de Londres y aún relativamente desconocida para los turistas. Los huéspedes han descrito como 'lo que esperan "de un pueblo tradicional Inglés. Es tranquilo, los supermercados y las tiendas están muy bien y hay un montón de cafés, restaurantes, pubs y parques. Dated property needs updating
We had a very responsive host but found the property to be a little dated. Locks were missing on bathroom doors and our fundamental problem was with the hot water availability. The water was tepid at best and cold. The boiler is in a room not accessible to guests. The owner was responsive and sent a plumber who confirmed there was a problem. A British Gas engineer was finally sent who managed to sort out the issue but not before we had already stayed there 4 days. The property could also benefit from things like a tumble dryer. We could use the washing machine to wash our clothes and had to spread them around the house to dry them. Small touches make a huge difference. I was not looking for a five star experience but the basic needs that one has at home should have been met.

Really a good location to visit London and whereabouts if you need to use trains / buses. House was really big and had all we needed. Will definitely recommend it especially if you have kids as they find lots to do and park is just opposite the road Will surely stay again when we visit again.

Great house for large family
Home was great! Clean, as described, great space for kids indoor and outdoors. Lots of activities for kids in the home. Short walk to the train station and multiple bus lines near the home. Park across the street with playground another positive for travelers with family. The kitchen was well stocked with all needed equipment - not scarce at all.

very good property
We had a few family members over from overseas who stayed at this property for a few days during my daughters wedding. Everyone stayed very comfortably and the property was nice and clean. It was also very spacious and well furbished. The landlord was also very helpful throughout.

Safe upscale property close to all conveniences. Comfortable.
This house took in all seven (7) of us with two bedrooms to spare. Huge family and living room with a well equipped kitchen. Excellent parking. Convenient connections for trains, tube and travel to Gatwick, Heathrow and Paris. Quiet, private and comfortable.
I will like to rent it again in the near future as there is so much we were not able to see in London, Cambridge, Oxford and Paris.

Ideal large accommodation in good location.
Very pleasant hosts with very spacious accommodation. Excellent selection of toys and large garden with plenty of sun. Well served by affordable and convenient public transport. Very suitable for large families. We were 2 adults and five children from 10 - 2. Very happy with accommodation and would happily recommend and return ourselves.

Wonderful place in South London
We really enjoyed our stay at Wendy & John's place in south London. We were there for a family holiday (adults and children).
The children loved that there were toys and a trampoline outside. The patio was great to sit and talk after a day of touring.
The bedrooms placed over three floors were comfortable, and allowed privacy for everyone.
The train station was a short walk away to provide easy access for London touring (30-35 minute train ride).
Any questions we had, Wendy and John were both very helpful.

Excellent value for money
This was an excellent choice! Very tidy and spacious house. Easily accommodated 6 adults and 5 kids. Link to Central London as described. Owners very helpful and friendly - despite we made some trouble on the first night- very sorry for this:).
I would definitely recommend this place.

Great stay!
We enjoyed this home...description was accurate. We were a family of 8 and there was plenty of room. The owners were very accomodating,. Wendy brought us some traditional English desserts for us to enjoy our last night. Enjoyed our time!! Thanks

Lovely house - a brilliant find!
Thanks Wendy and John! we really enjoyed our stay and appreciate your hospitality. The house was so homely and clean and had everything we needed with a very well equipped kitchen. My friends and I really felt at home and relaxed. We found the location very convenient and so easy to get the train into London but also enjoyed hanging out locally. We found a gem and will book again.

Great Place, Great Price
When planning our trip to London and Edinburgh, my husband and I were shocked at how expensive hotels in Central London can be! Thankfully, we found John and Wendy’s place in West Wickham and it was perfect for us. Yes, it’s located outside the city center but it’s a very easy walk to the train station for a 30 minute ride that stops at major stations (Waterloo East, London Bridge, Charing Cross, and Cannon Street) that are connected to the Underground. We found the train ride in the morning to be a good way to wake up and in the evening a good way to “detox” after a busy day in London. It was nice to stay in a quieter town! There’s also a bus stop across the street in case your travels should require a bus.
The apartment itself has its own separate entrance and is basic but practical. Included are a basic kitchen and the utensils required to cook if you so desire, two comfortable beds (a full and a twin) and enough room to hang clothes and store your belongings during your stay. John was very quick to help us when the refrigerator didn’t work (turns out it just wasn’t turned on!) and was kind enough to keep our newly-purchased milk in their fridge until ours was cold enough.
Grocery stores, shops, and restaurants in West Wickham are also within easy walking distance if you should choose to stay in town.

Unclean and rundown
Very disapointed! If they didn't have a pre-pay/no refund policy we would have turned right around and left. We stuck it out but had to wash the greasy filmed dishes before we could use them. The counter had not been wiped off from the previous guests and the floor hadn't even been swept. Thankfully the sheets and towels were clean or we would have forgone our pre-paid rental. We didn't notice until the day before we left that when you flushed the toilet the water bubbled to the top of the shower drain. The bathroom smelled musty with a bit of sewer odor. I could go on some more but I'm sure readers will get the message in this review.
The whole property is unkept and in need of regular maintenance.

I am very surprised and very disappointed to hear this, given the circumstances on the day. On the day of arrival the guest called us 3 hours before check in - at about 12.00 noon, about half an hour after the previous guests had left and we had just started to prepare it. Despite having been given directions, the guests had 'intentionally' got of the train 3 stops early as they were apparently worried about going too far.
They then walked aimlessly and got lost. As they sounded a little distressed I wasn't sure that they would be able to follow my directions back to the station or the taxi rank with their suitcases, so I offered to collect them in the car. John left the cleaning and went to collect them and their heavy luggage - I barely had time to change the beds, and clean the bathroom before they arrived. We didn't charge them for pick up and they appeared grateful and happy with the accommodation when they arrived.
We told them we had not have time to clean or hoover or clean the kitchenette area as they were so early but they insisted that it didn't matter and wanted to stay - we felt embarrassed leaving it like that but they obviously wanted to be left alone. We only heard from them once during their stay, when they asked for an extra towel which we gave them immediately.
How anyone in these circumstances can say it was not clean is beyond me! I have no idea what their reasoning is - it hadn't been cleaned properly but that was not our fault! This is budget accommodation - quite basic and not luxurious but it is clean and I am not aware of sewage smells or plumbing issues in the bathroom. We will investigate this. It is a comfortable room with a small kitchenette to cook basic food in a really nice little town within 35 mins to central London. We have returning visitors who are always very happy with it.

Lucky we found it!!!
We (3 people+dog) stayed there for two months so had all the time to explore London and give a full positive feedback.
Highly recomended as we viewed many apartments in London and unfortunately there are lots that wouldnt worth a pound.
It is in one of the most beautiful and safe locations in London. Just 3min to the train station with direct link to central London and also a bus stop outside the house.There's a Park just opposite the house and shops in a short walk.
The apartment is very spacious and clean .Much better than in the pictures!There's a double and a big single bed in the bedroom and there's a sofa-double bed in the conservatory. The conservatory with access to its own big garden, has a big dining table and all kitchen facilities you'll need.
The best of all were the landlords, who we feel lucky we've met. Very friendly, funny and helpfull and always available when we would need them.

We are a family and this used to be our home, altough over the years we have travelled and offered the house as holiday lets. It is primarily a home, and our only holiday let property at the moment. We sometimes stay in the independent annexe of the house but if we are away we will leave a contact. Please report any damage, and remember that people live nearby, so no parties or gatherings with people other than those booked! Important to remember is to be quiet on the drive when coming in late at night, not to rev engines early morning or late at night and not to talk loudly on drive (even on phone) or pavement at night or early morning.

This is in an ideal London location if you want easy access to the centre, but also want some peace after a long day sightseeing. You will have all the home comforts. It is not a 'hotel' and please remember you won't find luxury, but what we hope is homely, comfortable and spacious rooms. You have everything you need within walking distance, pubs, restaurants, coffee bars, shops, parks, leisure facilities etc so if you choose to spend a day at home you are definitely not isolated. This is a typical English town, where people live and work, and many people commute into London daily from here to work in the city.

Lots of choice - visit central London, stay local in a typical English town, or in 5 mins drive be in open picturesque countryside. Good public transport. If you are driving we are 15 mins to the M25, so access to Kent, Surrey and the South Coast is easy. You won't find the heavy smoke and congestion of inner London, and our area is very green, yet with lots of shops, pubs and restaurants. Starbucks, Cafe Nero or lots of independent coffee shops.
