The room was cozy snugged up to the lake. The staff was amazing and accommodating. If you want to truly enjoy the North I highly recommend this resort. Quiet cozy and secluded. Canoes are available at no cost which wow so enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends who are looking to escape in the beauty of nature and disconnect from the busy world around us.
Really liked that this was a family resort for 85 years. Loved that feel. Loved how close it was to the water, and that we could use a pontoon. That said, the cabin could have been more updated than it was.
We had a super relaxing time at Northwind Lodge. Our cabin was right on the water and very private. The allowed use of the pontoon and the kayaks/canoes was a nice touch. This is a very vintage and laid back experience which is exactly what we were looking for. We would definitely stay again.
We loved the house and really enjoyed our stay! We just had a few nit-picky things we didn’t like about it. 1. No extra toilet paper, paper towels, or trash bags2. The pool maintenance workers showed up and I wasn’t aware3. Pool was a little murkyOther than that we loved our stay and the space to house 20 people!
My husband and I loved staying at the cabin for one week. We didn't want to leave! The cabin is set close to the lake with a beautiful view. We spent a lot of time on the lake fishing, swimming, and exploring. We enjoyed having access to various watercraft (i.e. canoe, fishing boat, pontoon boat, paddle board...there were other craft available too). The fishing was quite good (my husband caught several pike). The water was clear and refreshing. The hosts were friendly and responsive. The location is close enough to make trips into town. The cabin is very basic, but had what we needed. I would love to stay here again!
I stayed 6 nights in Cabin #3. It had an absolutely gorgeous view
of the l lake. I'm disabled, and on top of that, I also injured my knee the day before I came up. So, I needed help with everything! Someone was there to help me with anything and everything that I needed! Every one of the staff was amazing and never made me feel bad for asking for help! That said, I do have to say, that the cabin I was in and the property as a whole, is not exactly what you'd call ADA compliant.
, so I had a really hard time with everything of the
