We needed a place to stay for our son’s Nordic race at Prospect Mt. This property was perfectly situated within 15 min to the venue yet close to down town. It was very clean and welcoming and the process for check in was externally easy.
This property is exactly as listed. It was well
Stocked with dishes, everything you need to cook, plenty of linens and extras if you forgot to pack something. It was cozy and warm and within walking distance to the cute shops and restaurants on the Main Street. We really enjoyed the house and the area.
The place was super easy to access and clean. We were just staying for one week night and didn't use the kitchen, so I can't speak to that. I recommend packing noise-canceling headphones for anyone who will be staying in the front bedroom (with the green carpet). Someone else in the building woke us up around 1:30am and was listening to something loud above us, so we ended up moving to the back bedroom. If you need all three bedrooms, though, you may need something to block out noise.

Dear Erin,
I appreciate the time taken to provide feedback on your stay.
I'm sincerely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, particularly concerning the noise level. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the frustration and inconvenience caused.
I have notified the occupant of the adjacent apartment, an elderly individual, regarding the incident following your feedback. The rental unit in question features a ranch-style layout and is partially attached to another apartment.
Your feedback is invaluable, as I continually strive to improve with each stay. I have shared your comments with our team, and I have promptly addressed this issue to prevent recurrence.
We were in town for the high school nordic ski championships at prospect mountain. Sone of the coaches stayed at the house while the others and the athletes were at a motel nearby. We were able to simplify our logistics a ton by prepping food and feeding our athletes at the house. Really nice big kitchen and everything we needed for cooking dinner and breakfast was there!
Great property in a convenient location. I admit I worried about all the antique pieces (decor) in the house. I would hate to see anything broken. Also, there were sooooo many supplies out and available. I worried that someone might take advantage of the hospitality. I realize this is a new VRBO, my suggestion to the host would be lock everything up instead of leaving it in the bathroom. I would gladly stay here again.
The house itself was very good, clean, spacious and very well appointed, although there was no tea or coffee as provided elsewhere. Our week here was good. But we had 2 big issues. The house is advertised with air conditioning. We arrived on an 85 degree day to NO Airconditioning. The host advised it had been removed for the winter and the heating turned on. The house remained hot through the next couple days which meant poor sleep. The second issue was noise coming through the ceiling. It is common in multi level houses of this type and we encountered it elsewhere. It wasnt usually a problem but above us was i think a shift worker, who got up at 3am, showered, watched tv and left about 5am. We would not stay again

Dear Judith ,
I appreciate the time taken to provide feedback on your stay on Oct 6-13, 2025
I'm sincerely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, particularly concerning The AC . October in Vermont is cool and crisp, with temperatures typically ranging from daily highs in the mid-50s to low-60s°F to chilly nights in the mid-30s°F , Early October is milder, while late October sees colder, frost-prone weather.
The week you stayed was below the freezing point of 32 degrees and I removed the window Ac and turned the heating Thermostat to 65°F .
Please accept my sincerest apologies for the frustration and inconvenience caused.
