Beautiful scenic setting and peaceful, house was nice.

Excellent rental experience and friendly communication from start to finish, the whole peninsula is a paradise and this is one of the beautiful places. House was nice sitting area could be better but who wants to sit when there is so much beauty outdoors :-) I would recommend as a great value for the price!! Need to experience the view in person!

Beautifully Situated

The beach access and sunsets are amazing. Quiet area, nice property. Short ride to town. Home was comfortable. One of the bedroom areas pictured is open/loft style, no door, above the kitchen area - which was nice, but not something we anticipated in terms of our family/extended family sleeping configuration. Well equipped home. Loved our stay in Northport!

Beautiful home / Wonderful Location

We have been traveling to Northern Michigan every summer for almost ten years now and compared with the two other houses we've rented in that time this was hands down the most comfortable, well maintained home we've had the pleasure of staying at. Quiet and welcoming with wonderful views of the water and access to a great Michigan beach. Close to Northport (and other communities) but with a relaxing sense of seclusion.

Lovely property

This is a large 4 bedroom well appointed property. Really too big for just me. The location can not be beat with easy access to Northport, even by bike, and access to a beach where one can take really long walks. The two decks are lovely for meals. The kitchen is great. The knives are sharp! The management company was very cooperative. Sadly, we got off on the wrong foot because the house had not been cleaned. And when the crew showed up they did not do a decent job….

Great house. Great setting. Only negatives were a lack of decent pans for cooking and outdoor grill was difficult to light and marginal for cooking.

Perfect in Northport

We had a great long weekend in Northport! This home was perfect for our family. Can’t wait to come back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful beach. The house had everything you could possibly need. Loved the location and the beautiful view! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Over the moon at "Over the "Edge"

From the moment we reached the front door and could see the spectacular view that lay ahead, we knew we made the right choice with this vacation home. The house itself is spacious and appointed with everything needed to feel at home. The furnishings are quite lovely and comfortable and we settled in quickly. We made use of the gas grill and fire pit as well as the two decks, and found some beach chairs to take down to the water. The beach itself is gorgeous and perfect for walking and playing (although my tender-footed husband wished he had brought some water shoes for the little stretch of rocks before hitting sand as he ventured into the water). The stars were amazingly bright at Christmas Cove. Our travels into Northport and the other surrounding towns led us to friendly people, delicious food, tasty wines and ciders and all around fun. Over the Edge was the perfect spot to reunite our four kids, their boyfriends/girlfriends and us...traveling from Utah, Arizona and the Kalamazoo area. We only had four days and three nights but we had a blast! We hope to make it an annual event. Thank you to the owners and managers for a memorable vacation.

Fantastic!

Annual Girlfriend shopping trip get away.

Over the edge was an amazing home to stay. THANK YOU to the owners for opening their home to us and to Century 21 Leelanau Vacation Rentals for all their kindness, and warm welcome and attention to the details. This home is spacious comfortable, has great amenities, all you need for a small or large group, the beds were super comfortable. Top notch. The views of Lake MI are wonderful, you can see the Manitou Islands, spectacular sunsets! Christmas cove is a great beach and only 100 steps from the public beach. Great for beach combers and absolutely a great place to take home a petoskey stone souvenier. There are steps down to the beach, were very manageable for us in our 60s and not athletic. Walked down to the beach 2-3 times a day. Close to all the great shopping, eating, and sight seeing of the Leelanau Peninsula. Highly recommend Over the Edge!

Breathtaking views and wonderful accommodations

What a place! The home is sited perfectly with expansive views and gorgeous sunsets. The stone fireplace is a focal point inside and of course, Lake Michigan is the focal point outside. Steps down to the beach for long walks or just relaxing. Open design offers plenty of room for guests and family. You can spend a lot of time just reflecting on the water. The nearby towns of Northport and Leland offer charming and robust village atmosphere.

Wonderful get away spot

The accommodations are a tasteful combination of country home and rustic decor with a world class view of the lake from the top of a bluff complete with lovely sunsets. We found the surrounding countryside to be very charming. It seemed like we were in a Grant Wood painting as we drove country lanes that wound through cherry orchards, stopping from time to time to do wine tastings. We like to cook for ourselves and the kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances and plenty of pots, plates, and silverware. We love to walk for exercise and if there is a prettier beach walk than this, we haven't seen it. Three full bedrooms and a loft combined with 2 baths means we had privacy from the kids with no competition for the bathrooms. Everybody loved the 2 story stone fireplace. Last note: the nearby towns have a unspoiled charm that we enjoyed as much as the house. I guess the proof of the pudding is that we've returned 3 times.

Wow, I love this place!

My family and I have been staying at Over the Edge for several years. It’s a wonderful place to be during all four seasons. In the summer, we love sitting on the lower deck and sipping a drink as we gaze at the lake and the sky. It is very pleasant having lunch on the side deck table. One of our favorite activities is taking long walks on the sandy beach and looking for Petoskey stones and interesting rocks. It’s absolutely beautiful seeing the brilliant sky colors and the sun setting from inside the house. It is fun playing board games and doing puzzles on the large harvest table or the large coffee table. Lots of good spots to read a book too. Whether you are inside or outside, it’s a very, comfortable, relaxing and lovely. We are always a bit sad when it’s time to leave, and we always look forward to our next trip there.
