About this property

Private setting near bay & ocean beaches-completely updated, game room, fire pit

Our home is meticulously managed by us, the homeowners. We do not contract with a rental agency, which allows us to devote the time it takes to properly prepare the house for you!
Everything the outer Cape has to offer is close by, including ocean and bay beaches, restaurants, bike trails, shopping, mini-golf and much more.
Bright, open and spotlessly clean 4 bedroom house is located on a cul-de-sac in one of Eastham's most desirable neighborhoods. There is a long driveway which opens to the one acre, private lot surrounded by woods. Open floor plan includes living room with vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace (operational during cooler months) and new leather couches, dining area with seating for 8, large kitchen with breakfast bar, granite counters, new stainless appliances. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to create wonderful meals with plenty of cabinet space for your belongings. Relax on the deck overlooking the private, fenced back yard, or light up the Weber grill for a late day cookout. New huge outdoor patio has enough room for a fire pit with 6 Adirondack chairs, a round table and chairs, corn hole game.
After a day at the beach, refresh in the over-sized private hot/cold outdoor shower, or bike through the quiet neighborhood to access Cape Cod Bike Trail. Bay and ocean and lake beaches are just a short drive, or ride your bike!
The primary bedroom has a sitting area with Smart TV, Hollywood bath. The other bedrooms are all spacious with lots of storage for your belongings. There is also wireless high speed internet, bluetooth Bose sound bar, surround sound connected to 65 inch Smart TV. There's plenty of space to store your bikes/beach belongings in the walk-out basement.

We had a lovely stay over Thanksgiving! The hosts were very responsive for check-in and check-out. The rooms were large, clean, and well-maintained. Outside deck, backyard, and large firepit were appreciated as well. The location of the house was perfect with easy access to beaches, hiking, and the town of Orleans.

We had a great stay at Carol’s place! Place itself was decorated lovely, super clean, and a perfect set-up for our two families of 4 with boys ages 4-8. Location was also great - easy access to so many great beaches and our favorite restaurants, as well as walkable to the rail trail. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing Stay

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The home is beautiful, clean and in a quiet location. We enjoyed the close proximity to multiple beaches, the bike path and restaurants. The bedrooms, game room and yard are spacious and comfortable. Check in and check out were seamless. We loved our stay!

There were 7 of us staying here for a week, my parents, my husband and I and our three children. There was ample room in the house for everyone and we all had a very nice time. The children particularly enjoyed the basement game room and the outdoor swing. The firepit was a bonus. We are bikers and the proximity to the bike trail was a definite plus. The home was wonderful, well equipped ad very clean. It is definitely a place we would consider again

Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. Carol was kind enough to let us know we could check in a bit earlier than expected, and was quick to respond to any questions we had along the way. The home was clean & spacious for our family's needs & our granddaughters loved the game room & fire pit, which we used often. We were also pleased with the ample supply of wood for the fire pit. Additionally, we enjoyed the privacy of the property & the quiet street, which we used for walks & wagon rides with our grandchildren. Overall, I would highly recommend this rental property.

Perfect stay for family Cape vacation!

Lovely house with big bedrooms, meticulously clean, great outdoor shower and everything you need (no need to go buy a can opener)! On a quiet residential street on the border of Orleans and Eastham. Perfect spot for young kids as it’s set back from the road in a quiet neighborhood with fenced yard. Wonderful stay and the owners couldn’t be kinder!

Relaxing Eastham getaway steps to Orleans

My family had a very relaxing stay at this property. They had all the supplies we need it for an enjoyable cape experience. The property was cleaned and clearly well maintained. Plenty of activities for kids of all ages, great grill and nice fire pit. Planning to return next summer

Our First Cape Cod Family Vacation

The house is beautiful and exactly as pictured. It is very modern, clean and well-stocked. The property is private and beautifully landscaped. The back yard was our favorite place to hang out. We couldn’t get enough of the firepit, playing cornhole and making smores. We loved our stay and would come back again. The owners were very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend this home.

Beautiful house, immaculate and fun!

We loved this house! It feels newly renovated and immaculately clean. The high ceilings in the living room make it lovely to spend time there. The ping pong table and the outdoor fire pit are fun! Eastham is a great Cape location, with lovely beaches and close to lots of great stuff. This house is perfectly located to take advantage of the towns of Orleans and Chatham too. A perfect Cape vacation!

Perfect!

This property was exactly as described, and has everything you need for a "home" experience. Carol was so helpful when needed, and the check in and check out was very convenient. The location was much better than I had anticipated ~ I had thought it might be hard to get to places all over the cape, but this location made it quite easy. There was a grocery store very close too. It really was perfect for two families to use, and we all loved the ping pong table!

Quaint house in quiet neighborhood.

Communication with owner was amazing. We experience an issue and owner was contacted immediately. Owner responded immediately and personally made trip to remedy the issue. Owners are very friendly. House sleeps 8 very comfortably and has a nice rec room in basement. Great for large families.

Excellent stay at thoughtfully appointed property

We had a great time at this property! The location was wonderful- it was close to beautiful beaches on both the warmer bay side and cooler ocean side of the Cape, and conveniently close to restaurants and stores in town. The house itself surpassed our expectations. It was well-decorated, and the amenities and household items were wonderful! We had absolutely everything we needed, and we could tell a lot of thought had gone into making things convenient and easy for guests. The outdoor areas were also great, especially the fire pit and the swing under the deck for little kids. Landscaping was beautiful, and it was so peaceful to enjoy morning coffee on the rocking chair on the porch. The basement is also comfortable and provided a good recreation option for people who wanted to stay up late without disturbing others. Excellent spot to stay with a family of mixed ages, from kids to grandparents. Carol was super helpful and responsive, and checkin/checkout was easy.

Great Location - Beautiful Updated Well Equipped Home - We will RETURN!

What can I say, this home (Cape Expectations) Exceeded our Cape Expectations! Working with Carol was effortless. From the moment we traveled the long PRIVATE driveway, we knew we made the right choice. The house appears large in the photos but, in real like... even larger. All rooms are large and comfortable. The furniture was like new (probably was) and comfortable beds. CLEAN CLEAN! Large very private deck. We loved the extra room in the Sunny walk out basement. It's a great room with TV, sofas and ping pong. We spent many of our evenings in this room with family playing games/ping pong. Sunrises on Coast Guard Beach and Sunsets on First Encounter Beach. A great place for family or just recharging your batteries. Thank you Carol. We will be back!

Sparkling Clean - Great Location - Well Equipped

My family planned a last-minute long weekend away to Cape Cod. We were so fortunate to have found this amazing property - Cape Expectations. Our experience was pleasurable from the moment we arrived until sadly, we had to depart. We took advantage of all that this location and house had to offer. We were a group of 7 of all different ages (2 seniors, my husband and I along with our children ages 10, 5 and 1 year's old). The layout was perfect for our group with 2 bedrooms and a bath upstairs and 2 bedrooms and a bath on the main level. In addition, the house has 2 living areas with family sized TV's. During the day, we biked or beached and in the evening, it was ping pong or corn hole tournaments followed by Smores by the firepit. We enjoyed lunch at local restaurants and cooked dinner at the property. This kitchen is a chef's dream - Clean, well-equipped and open to the living area allowing me, the cook, the ability to enjoy the family while preparing dinner. Carol, the owner was wonderful to communicate with. I have already shared this property with a good friend as this house is truly a find. Thank you Carol!

Fantastic vacation home for 3 generations

We had a perfect stay at this beautiful, well- equipped home, and we can’t say enough good things about both the property and the owners’ responsiveness and attention to every possible detail. The home and gardens are truly lovely and have a fresh and clean feel (feels like a very recent renovation). The huge comfortable king beds, spacious and light filled rooms, comfy twin beds for the kids, easily accessible first floor laundry (essential with a 3 year old and a baby!), fully equipped kitchen, wood burning fire pit which we used for s’mores night, cornhole game, swings for the kids, Legos and many other toys in the basement…incredible!! And if you don’t have kids, the house is still perfect : many huge flat screen tvs and a gorgeous finished basement as well as big family room allow for movie nights and just chilling. We have been renting in Eastham for many years, and this home far exceeded our expectations and prior rentals. And I must mention the LOCATION, which is prime, while still being in a very pretty, quiet area with no Route 6 noise. All the best beaches, tons of restaurants, and Stop and Shop are within a few miles or less. We rented bikes and were able to access the fantastic Cape Cod trails just a block away. (Bike to Hog Island Brewery for a fun lunch with outdoor or indoor seating. Get a dozen oysters while there from the Holbrook Oyster stand. The owner is 6th generation Wellfleet!) Bottom line: we loved this spacious and peaceful home!

Thanksgiving on Cape Cod

My family had a very enjoyable stay in this very comfortable, beautifully decorated home, which was spotless and spacious. Checking in and out was seamless. The pictures are accurate. The kitchen has everything you might need. The basement is a large additional living space. The location is private and very convenient. Beaches are… everywhere! Beautiful even in November. In addition to the bike trail, try the Fort Hill Trail. It is a mile walking loop along Nauset Marsh. We enjoyed pizza from The Red Barn and goodies from Cottage Street Bakery. Next time my family plans to enjoy Thanksgiving on the Cape, I will definitely hope to rent this house.

First autumn on the Cape in a great house!

This beautiful and clean house is very well appointed with everything you could wish for- fire pit, gas fireplace, ping pong table, very comfortable beds and furniture, laundry, lots of room, big equipped kitchen, outdoor seating…I could go on and on. Awesome location on a quiet road with everything you need in proximity (beaches, supermarket, great bird store, restaurants) and just a couple blocks to main road for visits to other towns on the Cape. The hosts have thoughtfully made this a welcoming home away from home and we look forward to returning. We enjoyed seeing the Cape in the fall!

Charlie and I love the Outer Cape for its overall natural beauty, numerous bay and ocean beaches, bike trails, nature walks, sunrises, sunsets. We enjoy making our home a wonderful place for vacationers to spend their holidays. For that reason, we do not use a commercial rental agency to handle our cleaning and yard upkeep. Instead, we either clean the house ourselves or hire a person who can devote the time needed to properly prepare the entire home and yard. Knowing that lasting memories are created in our home gives us a great sense of satisfaction and pride.

Why they chose this property

We chose this house in Eastham because of its peaceful, private location. When we are sitting on the deck, we enjoy looking over the one-acre property and into the woods beside the house. You'd never know you were in a tourist location! We also love the open floor plan with plenty of living space and large bedrooms. The house is a perfect retreat for 2 families as each floor has 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. The bonus room with TV and Ping pong table is a fun spot for the kids.

What makes this property unique

Flower gardens everywhere! Also, Cape Cod Rail Trail is easily accessed from this quiet neighborhood-no need to go on busy streets. Everything is close by, such as groceries, fresh seafood, restaurants, entertainment. Unlike many rental properties, all of the closets, bureaus, and cabinets are empty for your use. Also, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to prepare wonderful meals. This home is meticulously cared for and spotlessly clean.
