Great Views

Great view of the lake. Place was clean and spacious. Everything was in nice condition. We brought our own bedding with us, but did not need it. The supplied bedding was of adequate quality unlike so many other places we have stayed.

Perfect vacation spot

This cabin lives up to its name and has an amazing view of the lake. The covered porch was perfect for watching thunderstorms roll in. The road up to the cabin is a steep and windy dirt road so definitely have a good car to get up there. The house had ample room, was well stocked, very clean and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect location and view

We enjoyed the comfort of the cabin especially the porch. We kayaked, hiked and golfed enjoyed Rangeley!

Perfect place.

My wife and I absolutely loved the Cabin. Perfect place with a great view and amazingly cozy feel! The decor was great , the location was great and the place was better than advertised . We would love to return again someday. Thankyou !

Cabin With A View

May 11 - May 18 2024 The Cabin With A View is aptly named! It sits above Rangeley Lake with lovely views. The cabin is very well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Very cozy and comfortable! We were able to have our dog with us which was an added plus. It is easy to get to - just outside of town. We had great meals (dinner & breakfast) at the Rangeley Inn. I highly recommend this cabin - we will definitely be returning.

Cabin with a(n unbelievably gorgeous) view

Timeless cabin design, comfortable modern furniture, and a well-equipped kitchen make this an easy retreat for our family — but the biggest draw is the stunning sunset views over the lake and looking out at the mountains. Wow! We will be thinking of this deck and the living room views for a long time to come.

More than a view.....

Cabin is in a great location and is spacious. We had everything we needed and the description online is accurate. The deer in the backyard and surrounding neighborhood were a special treat (they really like your apple tree). Thanks for a wonderful few days.

Beautiful view!

We had a great stay in the cabin. The beds were super comfortable and the cabin was very clean when we arrived. The location was close to town but secluded enough to feel peaceful. We would rent here again.

Perfect vacation

We had a great time! The view was incredible and the cabin had everything we needed! Plenty of room! Our teenage boys loved cliff jumping at several different waterfalls!

Great place

Second time at this property. Love it here. The covered porch with the great view of the lake is an added bonus. Great space and plenty of windows to open to get the breeze to come through. Spent multiple afternoons/evenings on the porch with the gorgeous sunset and the view of the lake. Place was spotless when we arrived. Will be back again !!

Peaceful and Perfect Getaway!

We've stayed in Rangeley before but this was our first stay at Cabin with a View. Everything, from requesting the rental to driving away when we were done, was perfect. We had all of the information we needed before having to ask for it. The cabin was SO CLEAN! Like, not a speck of dust or crumb in sight! That alone made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. The cabin had most essentials, though it could certainly use some wine glasses and some kid sized glasses/plastic cups. There were only coffee mugs and pint glasses. And, a few throw blankets so you could cozy up on the porch would be nice! Otherwise, we were right at home. We saw deer right out the window grazing through the lupines, eagles fly right by the deck, and other critters while in the area. We love Rangeley, and highly recommend the cabin! As do our four legged "kids" that were also allowed there!!

Great spot, obviously the view….visiting deer everyday! Really like the 4 twin beds room, great for large group. Needs more glassware, at least some wine glasses. That's it, great spot, convenient to everything, tons of room, fabulous view, will stay again. Oh, must say the crew at Morton & Furbish are the best!

Clean, Comfy and a view you will miss instantly

You won't go wrong staying at cabin with a view. This is my fifth stay and it won't be my last. The cabin is always clean and the kitchen is equipped with basic amenities but you will want to bring anything specific you'll need. The walkout basement is a great place to spend nights watching a movie with the gas stove and there is more then enough room for everyone. My favorite place is on the porch, watching the sunset, the deer walk through the yard or just taking in the view of Rangeley lake, you can spend your entire trip out there. My only negative feedback would be about the beds. All 6 are very old and incredibly loud while sleeping. The mattresses are adequate but the frames are not the best. Having known this from last time, we spent the first hour or so of our visit removing the bed frames and placing the mattresses directly on the floor so we could actually sleep through the night (we put it all back together before checkout) so if you are a light sleeper, plan accordingly. I would still recommend Cabin with a View and can't wait to go back!

Stay away! At least during the times we want this house. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was lovely inside and a beautiful location. We all thought it was perfect….except perhaps a better grill might be in order. Other than that…five stars for sure.

Great Location!

We stayed at Cabin With A View, and it lives up to its name! Beautiful views from every room. Plenty of windows offering great light, yet cozy and warm. Beautifully appointed with quality and comfortable furniture and nicely decorated. Plenty of common space. Notes: If you're staying in winter, bring comforter or wool blanket - beds have medium weight cotton blankets/sheets only. NO WINE GLASSES?! Not a deal breaker, but was pretty surprising. Bathrooms are on 1st and ground floors, so if you're a middle of the night visitor, plan your sleeping arrangements accordingly! Not insulated so save your private conversations for your walk or the chairlift!! Morton Furbish was very responsive to call for plowing service. We arrived shortly after snowfall with very low temps, so driveway (steep!) needed some attention. Really liked this spot - we will be back!
