About Page Rosenberg

Bill moved to Taos from Marin County 17 years ago and it the architect who designed "The Big House" and "Casa De Las Abuelas" Guest House. The Guest House is a place where our family convenes to enjoy Taos. You will find the quiet feeling of the thick walls of adobe produces quite amazing.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our three day stay at the Taos Guest House was a delight. It is a charming, well appointed adobe house that had everything we needed. Tastefully decorated, the owners have a lovely collection of folk art that I can only assume came from the local arts community. It is very private, situated on a quiet street at the edge of town and only a short walk from the centre of Taos. Although spacious, there are only two sleeping areas and would be suitable for a couple or family with one or two children.. or in our case a mother/daughter combo. The owners left us a very complete and amusing guide to their favourite restaurants and sights in the area that we found extremely helpful. Had the weather been more cooperative, I'm sure we would have spent time in the lovely, private garden. The Kiva fireplace and loads of firewood made our evenings cozy and warm. The only suggestion I have would be to pack eye masks if you like to sleep in. Even with the blinds drawn, this is such a bright, light filled and cheerful home that night owls might find mornings a challenge.

Architect’s Modern Adobe Guesthouse Near the Plaza

What a delight to spend 3 nights in this immaculate and charming home. Every room opens onto a gorgeous private courtyard and garden. Great care has been taken to stock the home with all the comforts of home. This is a classy place with a stunning view in every room. Sunlight, vigas, and whimsical folk art adorn each room. The kitchen has just about every gadget that you need and was a joy to cook in. The dining room was my favorite place to sit with a cup of coffe, relax and take in the view. We will be back!

Lovely home!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 4 nights in August. Very close to the Plaza. I loved the layout. Each room opened onto the courtyard. The kitchen was so well equipped with top of the line pans and utensils. We did find the bed too small for both of us (used to king size!) so I ended up sleeping in the little nook, which was very comfortable. Page has thought of everything you might need and has kindly provided it (razor, lotion, toothpaste etc). Had coffee out on the patio in the morning, spent the day out touring and came home to fix dinner and have wine on the patio. Very quiet neighborhood. I did have a few questions for Page and she always immediately answered her phone and followed up with a text (I had shopping questions). We loved our stay here and highly recommend it.

Paradise in the high desert

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I love New Mexico and only recently discovered this charming getaway. The adobe casita was built by a well-known architect. His wife collects fabulous folk art and you notice the displays in niches, nooks or under tables. I love the crow pillows she paints in her studio across the street. When you stay here you forget about cells and email. It's a place we want to visit every summer.

We cook most meals and drink martinis on the porch. We love walking to town, visiting the churches, driving to Arroyo Seco where Abe's Cantina and the Taos Cow are located. Last year we drove to the Ghost Village and climbed to the top of the ridge. We also spent a day basking in mud baths at Ojo Caliente. The hatch chilies are a quick find, and we made chicken enchiladas one night.

There is down time just sitting outside, reading and taking in the lush gardens and outdoor folk art. I'm ready for my Taos fix at Casa de Los Abuelos!

A true gem with relaxed elegance

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I have stayed at this property many times. Each and every time we are delighted with the location and the amenities. It is an architect-designed, beautiful thoughtful space. The kitchen, for example, is any cook's dream; fully equipped. It is located just a few blocks from the town square. The town has a strong artistic tradition, having been home to DH Lawrence, Georgia O'Keeffe and many other artists; American and European. There is a wide variety of contemporary Art available, as well. The ski mountain in Taos is a world-class set of slopes with excellent instructors, and even an first-ratee children's program!

Top Drawer Sunlit Adobe 5 min walk to Taos Plaza

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have been staying bi-annually at this exquisitely designed and maintained adobe since the owner's built it in 2004. From it's chef's kitchen to designer (Taos only!) dishes, painted pillows and whimsical touches it is an absolute delight. Your every need is catered to right down to condiments and recommendations for dining, skiing, river rafting, art foraging and hiking; and usually an invitation to at least one lovely meal.

Our guests enjoy walking around the historic district surrounding the Taos Plaza. You will find many interesting shops, art galleries, and restaurants, a wonderful children's store and park for children, museums. The famous Taos Ski Valley area is only 40 minutes away and is open during the summer for hiking. Rafting down the Rio Grande is great fun for a family.

We moved to Taos from Marin County 20 years ago and never looked back. You will love this town.
