Marmari is a fishing village with port, easy to reach from Athens ( 20 min from Athens airport "Venizelos", to the port of Rafina and 1 hour by ferry to Marmari).

If you rent a car you can make excursions, to fabulous incrowded beaches ( Aetos, Buros, A. Dimitrios) or to Dracospita the prehistoric ruins.
Also you can make a tour going to Styra (a more cosmopolitan place) to Eretria (an ancient city wdidth a museum) taking a ferry from these two places back to Athens or goung to Chalkida (the capital of Evia) passing the bridge and ho to Athens by car.
