About Marjory Bartee

We feel very fortunate to be able to live in one of the most beautiful and unique spots on the North Olympic Peninsula and to be able to share it with travelers seeking to experience the beauty and wonders of this special area. We are located on several acres of land, partially farmland, partially woodland on the high bank waterfront bluff along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our views are of the majestic Olympic mountain range to the south and of Vancouver Island, B.C. to the north. Having a wooded creek as our eastern boundary, we are able to provide the unique access pathway to the beach below. All of our several vacation rental homes enjoy the use of this same five minute hiking trail which is the most treasured feature of our properties. Wildlife abounds in this natural habitat where deer, eagles, river otter, seals and more are seen as an every day occurrence. We work daily at our other businesses where we sell home improvement products such as appliances, flooring, cabinets etc. We strive to have all of our vacation homes reflect our enthusiasm for inviting, quality interiors so that our guests feel truly welcome and at home while they stay in our homes.

What makes this mobile home unique

The Park Place is equipped with everything you will need to stay for a weekend or even for a month at a time. It has clean, late model appliances including a glass top range and a portable dishwasher and all of the cooking utensils, cookware, dishes and glassware that you will need to fully enjoy your meals. you will want to bar-B-Q outdoors on the gas grill and share your meals watching the sunsets and the wildlife that is all around. The luxurious, comfortable couch is perfect for relaxing indoors and enjoying the T.V. and stereo or just reading a good book. The quality front loading laundry set is there for your convenience and the bathroom offers a bathtub and shower combination. The queen size beds and will accommodate four people very comfortably with high thread count, hand ironed linens. It is so quiet and private and when the deer stroll past the porch and nibble on the fruit trees, it is like a storybook setting. When the exquisitely beautiful peacock comes by everyone gets out their cameras!

Nice Place

The location worked great for us as we traveled to the Olympic National Forest. The house was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen had all the utensils, pans, containers needed for cooking meals. Plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The bed in the master bedroom is sunken in the middle which makes sleeping a little uncomfortable. The trail to the beach was steep at the beginning but not bad from there. The beach was nice and peaceful.

Vacation Rental on Olympic Peninsula

I got what I was looking for: a view of the mountains, and a view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

I wasn't sure how the manufactured home would be. But it was in pretty good shape, it was spacious for 3 people and 2 dogs, and the kitchen was unbelievable. I have never had a vacation rental with such a well stocked kitchen. I didn't anticipate, nor use them, but there was a full sized crockpot, a rice cooker, an electric wok, and plenty of pots and pans, plus there was a good (Kitchen Aid) gas grill which we used for salmon one night and chicken another. We were quite pleased. The beds were comfortable as well.

Great weekend get-away

My husband and I planned a last minute trip over the Thanksgiving weekend. There is a well stocked kitchen which was well equipped to handle cooking a Thanksgiving meal. The place is very spacious and would work well for a longer visit with more people. The path down to the beach is wonderful with a great view. Location is convenient to Port Angeles. The wi-fi was a little temperamental at first but we were able to get it to work once we unplugged and then re-plugged in the router. The owners care and want to make sure you have a positive experience.

Our "Park Place" vacation home is in a secluded location with a backdrop of towering evergreen trees where eagles nest, above the private beach where seals and seabirds are spotted as the waves crash ashore. It is less than two miles away from the paved Olympic Discovery Trail, the perfect trail for pedestrians, cyclists or equestrians. It is also only a five minute drive from the well-stocked Agnew Grocery and Feed Store which has a large selection of wines many from our local Olympic Peninsula Wineries. Because it is so conveniently located mid way between the two towns of Sequim and Port Angeles, in an area called Agnew, it is an easy fifteen to twenty minute drive in either direction to the restaurants and shops and activities that both towns have to offer. The world famous Dungeness Spit, the longest spit in the world, is only minutes away by car or can be hiked to along the shore for those who enjoy hiking and beachcombing along the unpopulated, rugged beach. Be sure to plan your beach walks accordingly, however, as high tide can be treacherous if you are not prepared. (tide tables are listed in the local phone book)
