Beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

Micole was a very gracious and accommodating host. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. Location was quiet and private - yet near to parks, trails, grocery store. Patio ideal for morning coffees and afternoon shade. Would recommend this gem to any couple looking for a convenient, cozy home away from home. We hope to come back.

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Very private location away from traffic, close to the National Park but shopping near by. Home has everything to make for a relaxing time. Perfect for a couple with a comfortable bed and two bathrooms. Nearby roads make easy walking for those who do not want to do heavy duty hiking. However, many hiking trails are nearby,. View of the mountain ranges is spectacular, for watching the sunrise. A coyote walked past the home while we had our early morning coffee

Beautiful property in a great location

  • 5 of 5

The guest house was clean, comfortable, and had all the comforts that we needed for our stay. We were secluded but close to stores, restaurants, and beautiful hiking. The back patio was great for sipping coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. We were far enough out that we could actually see the stars at night. Other things we loved about our stay was the super comfy bed, two bathrooms, washer/dryer available, the kitchen had all the items we needed, two televisions, comfortable seating, and beautiful views. This is a peaceful, charming getaway.

As soon as we walked into the house we fell in love with it and the more we discovered, the more we loved it. We also spent a lovely evening in the excellent company of Micole enjoying a drink and watching shooting stars from the patio.

Kitchen: family sized oven and microwave, large fridge/freezer, coffee maker and plenty of cooking equipment and utensils mean you can be completely self-sufficient rather than eating out. There were lots of useful bits and pieces such as coffee and tea pods, condiments, washing up liquid and kitchen roll that we really appreciated. There's a breakfast bar for meals that you don't want to eat on the patio.

Living area: the most comfortable armchairs and sofa plus TV, side tables, bookshelf and loads of leaflets about local activities and attractions.

Bedroom: has a king bed, another TV (!) and loads of storage, in particular, lovely wood chests of drawers.

Ensuite bathroom: excellent size, loads more storage and a large walk in shower. Again, it was the thoughtful touches - toilet roll, hairdryer and hand soap provided and really soft towels and plenty of them.

Bathroom: and there's even another half bathroom - complete luxury when there's just two of you.

Laundry: hidden behind doors off the living area, a washer/dryer and all the cleaning equipment you could need.

Patio: our favourite spot. It looks over Saguaro National Park with typical plants and wild life. Sit out at night with the lights off and you'll have an exceptional view of the night sky; get up as the sun is rising and you'll have the opportunity of seeing javelinas wandering past; sit out in late afternoon and enjoy the sounds of birds gradually giving way to crickets as darkness falls.

Location: very secluded but only 25 mins easy drive from the centre of Tucson, about 10 from some great shopping malls (Sears, Macy's, JC Penney, Target and Safeways) and about five minutes drive from Saguaro National Park East.

We stayed for five nights and wish it could have been longer. We feel so lucky to have found it available for our dates. Micole is an accommodating host who answered emails promptly and even offered to leave days free either side of our trip in case we needed to change our dates. This consideration showed itself in all the attention to detail in the house. We would love to return one day - in the meantime, we highly recommend that you take the opportunity to stay.

Great Sonoran Desert Casita

  • 5 of 5

This great little casita has everything you need for a comfortable stay while experiencing desert life. The location is quiet, close to shopping, yet only a mile from Saguaro National Park which you can see from the back window. The owner, Micole, is a very considerate host and will do all he can to ensure you enjoy your stay. We loved staying there!
