A large, architect designed, private villa in a small village a few minutes drive from Caminha. The accommodation is immaculate and looks out onto a pool and landscaped garden that are hidden from outsiders by high walls.
The villa accommodates two families with ease. There are two master bedrooms with double beds and en-suite bathrooms, a shared bathroom and two further bedrooms, one with twin bunks and one with two singles. There is a large table football and table tennis.
The house is in Venade, a little village a few minutes' drive from Caminha town. The nearby fortified medieval market towns are picturesque and well maintained. This is a green and hilly region where the well-to-do Portuguese go to on holiday. It is quiet but it has plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes. The villa is about 10 minutes by car from a series of golden sandy beaches that stretch for many miles. The local beach has riverside area sheltered from the surf. Over the river is Spain.


Getting There: Flying to Porto is the easiest way to get to Caminha. It will be necessary to have a car, although there is a slow train from Porto. It is a one hour drive.

La casa está muy bien, cómoda y no le falta detalle para los niños y adultos, si le tengo q poner un pequeño fallo es q la piscina no estuviese climatizada, pero bueno me avisaron,y tanto la dueña como la gestora trato impecable muy atentos para repetir muchas gracias un saludo

Vacances familiales

Malgré les efforts et la gentillesse de la propriétaire et la femme de ménage, la maison était sale à cause des locataires précédents irrespectueux. La maison est très agréable, jardin spacieux et bien arboré, piscine très bien. L’environnement des voisins est très bruyant (chien qui aboie sans cesse nuit et jour, travaux…), c’est dommage car pas reposant la nuit malgré une situation en pleine nature et dans les hauteurs.

Descanso em familia

Fomos 8 pessoas para passear e descansar. A casa tem bastante espaço na sala para estarem todos juntos. tem sofás e cadeirões que dá para estarem bem sentados. A mesa de sala de refeições é enorme e dá para bom convívio no interior. A zona exterior é agradável e o local muito relaxante. As mesas e o deck estão bastantes desgastados e a precisar de manutenção. O que nos desiludiu foi a piscina não estar aquecida conforme dizia no anuncio e verificarmos que ao contrario do que a proprietária nos tinha dito o aquecimento funcionava no inverno.As ventoinhas tinham muito pó acumulado e nos quartos encontramos muito cotão. Casa muito bem equipada com todos os utensílios de cozinha. Como fomos no inverno usufruímos do aquecimento central que deixava a casa muito quentinha. A lareira não acendemos pois tinha a pedra exterior partida. A zona dos matraquilhos e a passagem para o 2º quarto é muito fria porque não tem aquecimento o que torna desagradável quando se quer passar ou usufruir do espaço. A zona Tem espaço para guardar 2 carros. ALERTAMOS QUE ANUNCIO CONTINUA A DIZER QUE A CASA TEM PISCINA AQUECIDA, MAS NA REALIDADE A PROPRIETÁRIA DEPOIS DIZ QUE NO INVERNO NÃO É AQUECIDA.

Beautiful complete home

Modern home, with good internet in a quiet neighborhood. Because of our special kids the house was most important. And it was just like at home, with a lot of privacy, lots of room. Loads of dvds and even games present. But the internet and some books was enough for us. With a car you can reach all places you want to visit. (For us not that many.) Hard to see a lot of places were closed (due to covidyear?) but the nice town had everything we needed. The owner was very forthcoming, the housekeeper a little difficult to understand (more our problem as we don’t speak Portuguese ;-)) Recommend this home.

Perfect family hideout in the corner of Portugal

Perfectly located, 5 minute drive from Caminha center, 10 minute drive from the beach and dozens of cultural places surrounding the villa. The heated swimming pool is just amazing. Checking-in was simple, Anabela is a nice host. If you want to relax with your family, visit world class heritage, swim in the crystalline river waters, eat nice food surrounded by nice people, don't miss the opportunity to visit Minho.

Fim de semana muito bem passado

A casa apresenta todas as condições de comodidade e limpeza para uns dias de lazer com família ou amigos. Os espaços são adequados a grupos maiores. Éramos 7 adultos e 3 crianças e, tanto externamente como internamente, as áreas propiciaram o convívio entre todos. Embora não tendo estado grande tempo. a piscina foi altamente apreciada por miúdos e graúdos.

Wunderschönes Haus in toller Umgebung

Wir hatten mit unseren drei Kindern einen wunderschönen Familienurlaub im Haus von Anna. Dieses ist sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet, hat eine sehr gute Ausstattung und bietet jede Menge Platz. Grundsätzlich wäre es kein Problem gewesen, sich das Haus mit Freunden oder den Großeltern zu teilen. Wir hatten auch noch Anfang Oktober sehr gutes Wetter und konnten den beheizten Pool ausgiebig nutzen. Selbst bei schlechterem Wetter wäre uns nicht langweilig geworden. Kicker, Tischtennis, Filmabende oder jede Menge Gesellschaftsspiele Spiele stehen zur Auswahl. Die Küche ist so eingerichtet, dass nahezu alles zubereitet und später am großen Familientisch auf der Terrasse oder im Wohnbereich genossen werden kann. Eine Grillstelle ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Die schöne Umgebung bietet ebenfalls viel Abwechslung, wobei ein Auto zu empfehlen ist. Ob Wanderungen, Städtetouren oder Strandbesuche. Alle Möglichkeiten sind vorhanden. Wind- oder Kitesurfer kommen in Moledo oder Viana do Castello voll auf ihre Kosten. Dabei können beide Orte mit einer sehr ordentlichen Windstatistik von Mai bis in den Oktober aufwarten. Daneben haben wir auch die Boogie Boards in den Wellen sowie das Skimboard genutzt, welche ebenso wie Neoprenanzüge für Kinder sind vorhanden. Die Kommunikation mit Anna sowie während des Aufenthalts mit Jorge war angenehm, eine Ankunft um Mitternacht war unproblematisch. Insgesamt ein „Rundumsorglospaket“, wir sind sehr zufrieden und werden auch gerne wiederkommen!

Encontramos o espaço pretendido. A casa possui tudo que é necessário para familias e amigos passarem um bom fim de semana/férias. A cozinha está bem equipada, a sala de jantar tem o espaço necessário e espaços de lazer sem duvida que são o grande destaque. Musica, desporto e relaxamento. A localização é fantastica.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home and quite location. THe owner was quick to respond to any questions that we had. We were a little disappointed that the location had advertised a heated pool and upon our arrival that's not what we found. This is the main reason we chose this location over many other we had looked at. We were told that the pool is rarely heated and ready during the time of our staywhich was the first week of April. Yes the weather was cold and rainy at times but there were times of the day we could have used the pool had it been ready. If I were renting this property again I'd make sure that I asked specifically about the pool being ready if this was one of the selling points of the property. It's big and very comfortable and well furnished. I'd just clarify the pool if that's what I was looking for again.

Uma excelente passagem de ano.

A casa tem uma óptima sala e bem decorada tornando o espaço muito confortável. Com a lareira e o aquecimento central estávamos sempre com uma temperatura agradável. Tem uma grande variedade de dvd´s e jogos (em especial uma boa mesa de matraquilhos). Os quartos são óptimos e com uma muita arrumação. Uma excelente casa para aproveitar com a família e amigos.

Way better in real life!!

We had a fantastic time in the Villa. The spacious layout was perfect for two families, allowing all 8 of us to come together but still maintain our own space. The villa is jam packed full of toys, PlayStation games & books, so we all had something to do in the event of getting bored from being in the stunning pool. The weather was wonderful during our stay and we chilled most of the time, the kids (ages 6,5,3&1) were not interested in going to the beach, they just wanted to be in the pool at the villa and use all the space to run around the garden! Beds were super comfy, with lovely crisp linen and the rooms were very cool at night once we left the shutters down. The shutters are full length electronic & completely black out if you wish (a godsend in helping the kids sleep in!). The secret terrace behind the pool was also fab for catching the evening sun whilst sipping on a Spritz... We had a truly wonderful time, the villa was way better than we had anticipated. Communication with Anna & Adrian was top notch and we were delighted that Jorge met us in a restaurant on our arrival and guided us to the villa. We are Anna and Adrian, a couple with three daughters living in the UK near London. Anna is the one who does the bookings and sorts everything out for our guests. Anna is Portuguese on her mother’s side which explains at least one of those other languages. Adrian, though making vague promises about learning Portuguese, still struggles with much more than ordering a coffee.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Anna lived in Portugal as a child and still has strong family connections there. We wanted a holiday home big enough for us to share with family and friends so it had to be four bedrooms with plenty of communal and private space. Initially we looked at renovations and more rural settings further from the coast. Our minds were instantly changed by the wow factor of this house with its sleek minimalism mixed with traditional rustic stone walls. We wanted some nightlife nearby for us and for teenagers but nothing too commercialised and not too close. We feel it hits that balance perfectly. The whole local environment is safe and civilised but full of activity. The houses nearby are all by the same architect. They fit into the landscape effortlessly and by deliberate design give each other complete privacy. With beautiful local market towns and Porto only an hour away – it simply ticked every box for us.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We saw other houses of the same quality in the region but they all had something that that we felt compromised them in some way – like being by a busy road or having a garden that was overlooked or even just feeling too much like a residential home rather than somewhere special for holiday. In this case we felt there was no compromise, simply nothing we would change. The exterior rustic walls completely hide the house with no windows visible from the outside. It is only when you go inside that you discover how special it is. Spacious, light-filled rooms have wall-to wall windows overlooking the pool and garden. The roof overhangs to ensure you can enjoy the view without being dazzled or overheated by the direct sun. The architect has done his job very well.
