Small, clean and cozy... Ideal for trips when not a lot of time is going to be spent in the rental or for smaller families that don't need a lot of space.

My wife and I were attending the Black Bear Music Fest in Harwinton and found this booking, and it turned out to be a great choice. The cottage was clean and well stocked and would be ideal for a couple or small family. A Stop and Shop supermaket is less than 10 minutes away, as well as a Marshall's and other stores.

The property was as described and served our family of five just fine. Location was excellent for a large family event at Brodie Park just down the road and beautiful West Hill Pond was a short 10min. walk away. The owner, Ken, was very responsive and went above & beyond to respond to our needs.

This is a clean, well-maintained little cottage within walking distance to a private beach. The vibe at the beach is very family friendly and restful. Nice gas grill and a shaded backyard eating area. Great soft-serve ice cream made with real milk at R&B Sports in Winsted (the next town over, a few miles away.) Also, lots for kids to do at R&B Sports. Our guests had a terrific time. The kids had the two rafts on the lake all to themselves.

Perfect for our needs

The home was just right for our 2night stay and had everything we needed. We had a no water issue one morning - Ken was there within minutes of the call and fixed the water pump switch - all was AOK. Would recommend this rental, and would stay again if in the area.

We loved the cottage. Nestled in a beautiful treed lot. It was convenient to our family and antique establishments which our granddaughter loved. Everything in the cottage was thoughtful and comfortable. Comfy sofa and chairs, large screen internet accessible television, a practical dining area, table and chairs and beautiful appliances. The potential kids or gamers room had twin beds and a surprise arcade style game console. l

Cottage as described and host is very responsive. 5 star rating deserved but its important to note that the queen sized bed feels like a spring mattress, and is collapsed in the middle so if two people sleep on it, you roll into each other. Bathroom door knob screws are also loose so knob falls off. Very easy fixes and shouldn't deter anyone from renting here as its quite cute, very clean and in a great location. Excellent place to stay!

David, we are glad you stayed with us. Our cottage isn't direct waterfront but as I'm sure you found is a very short walk to the pristine West Hill Lake and Laurel Acres Beach. Hope to have you back!

We loved staying at your spotless, comfortable and well appointed cottage! I enjoyed the bamboo sheets and the plentiful, soft, fluffy towels! The grounds were attractive and well maintained. Loved the swing and outdoor seating. Thanks for your care to answer questions and fulfill requests! It was pleasure to return here after a full day of music and dancing. Loved the circular driveway!!
