The unit was clean, modern, and very spacious. The host was very accessible and gracious. Would not hesitate to rent again.

The Dogwood cottage was the perfect space for our time in Columbia! The home was very clean, tastefully decorated while also keeping comfort in mind. It was well equipped with all you could need and we certainly will be back when visiting the area!

We were in Columbia for my son's bootcamp graduation. Home was centrally located within 10-12 minutes of Ft.Jackson and shopping/grocery stores with in 4 minutes. Beautiful home - very well appointed. Highly recommend.

Wedding weekend

Came on Thursday evening stayed till Sunday for a place to get ready for y daughters wedding since we were coming from out of town. Best decision ever this place is perfect. Would be great for an all girls weekend or a family gathering! Very spacious, comfortable and easy to care for during your stay

Amazing owner

Wendy is amazing- just like the house that was beautifully restored down to the smallest detail. Finally a host that gets how to treat traveling families: great communication and effortless check-out procedures. We felt like we were staying at our extended family’s house without them there and all the drama. Would stay here again anytime!!

The decor was nice but the property has functionality and maintenance issues. The backyard was raked but the pile wasn't removed, nor were cigarette butts from previous renters. The dining room bench needs cushions. The wicker chairs were very uncomfortable. The China cabinet doors have unnecessary vertical rods that don't work right. Curtains are needed on the west window. The stove knobs aren't lined up right. The stove needs instructions for use. There are junk drawers. The wicker barstools were damaged and need cushions. There is no recycle bin. The south windows need the trim scraped/painted/sealed to stop the condensation. The knob to the west game room door was on the kitchen counter. The heavy game table top isn't connected to the base and falls off balance when trying to open to the bumper pool table, rendering it useless, and a hazard. The 2 games were a beat up deck of cards and oversized Uno cards too big to shuffle. The 1st bathroom has oversized faucets that swivel but the knobs block the sink. The shared bathroom shower curtain doesn't keep the water in. The street noise is annoying at night in south bedrooms. The doors either don't close completely or don't stay closed. The curtain hangers aren't all connected. The city recycle bin was full, and stunk. The short brick column at the driveway entrance that was previously knocked over needs repair. Taller markers with reflectors would help.

The Perfect Spot!

We booked this home for my son-in-laws graduation from boot camp since it was so close to Ft. Jackson. We had 4 adults, a toddler and an infant. There was more than enough room!The space is beautifully decorated, comfortable and homey. All of the bedrooms are large and with three bathrooms there was plenty of room for everyone to get ready without stepping over each other. The house is in a very nice neighborhood of large family homes and felt very safe. Minutes away from the grocery store in a shopping center with upscale stores and a very short drive to the base which was perfect for us and why we were there!If we ever have the opportunity to return, I will definitely stay at this home again. My family said it’s one of the nicest vacation homes they have ever stayed in. I highly recommend this spot!

We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of space in this cottage. The beds were comfortable and the cottage itself was beautiful! There is a tv in the living area that has a screen saver that stays on with chirping birds 24/7 which was cute when we got there but became a little annoying toward the end of our stay. I have not recently used VRBO for stays and the check-in process was not clear. It took us a while to figure out. Once we did, everything was good. We would have liked to use the back patio, but it had not been swept or cleaned before we got there, so we decided to just stay inside. The guest bathroom does not have a curtain on the window and the window faces the street. So guests did not want to use that bathroom.Over all these a small things that can easily be remedied and I would would stay here again and recommend this property to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
