COMPETE RENOVATION 2017! Granite kitchen counter tops, renovated bathroom, new furniture! BRAND NEW!! Sunny two bedroom Garden Apartment in one of Capitol Hill's oldest and most Historic homes. The house was built in 1876 and is registered in the National Historic Conservation Trust.

Located on East Capitol Street facing the East side of the Capitol Building. Simply walk out of the apartment and get a terrific view of the Capitol Building.

This (2) two bedroom (1) one bath garden apartment has been recently refurnished with leather sofas, local artwork, oriental rugs, custom blinds, comfy beds, 400 count sheets and plush towels. Each bedroom has its own flat screen TV with cable connections. This unit has wireless internet.

The property is lined with windows allowing for wonderful light throughout the apartment!

The master bedroom has a queen bed with a flat screen TV and a large closet. Furnished with plenty of drawers and closet space. The bedding is 400 count sheets and extra pillows

The second bedroom has bunk beds that are great for kids or teens. The bunk beds have wonderful mattresses with 400 count sheets and comforters. Perfect for children or teens but adults will be comfortable as well!

The large sofa in the living room folds out to a comfortable double bed. This garden apartment is ideal for two or a family and can sleep up to six comfortably.

If you are driving, off street parking is a must! This apartment comes with one off street parking space for your use 24 hours.

The fully equipped kitchen is nicely appointed with all the cookware you need for a grommet meal with dishwasher, stove, oven, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, microwave,and lots of cabinets. There is a washer and dryer in the unit.

Our property comes with two bikes for your use! Please feel free to use our bikes (if you like) and discover how easy it is to get all around Capitol Hill. Pop over three blocks to Eastern Market for groceries or organic local produce or walk over to 8th street to 'restaurant row' where there is a restaurant for every palate!

Capitol Hill is one of the oldest neighborhoods in DC. Most of the early residents were members of Congress. As the neighborhood evolved, row houses were built and Capitol Hill began to grow as a city within the city for families and Washington's Who's Who! Many members of Congress make their homes on the Hill. Don't be surprised if you walk by or sit next to at a restaurant, someone you will recognize.

It is an easy walk to the US Capitol, Senate Office buildings, Supreme Court, Library of Congress and Folgers Shakespeare Library. Close by are all the Smithsonian Museums on the Mall including the National Gallery of Art, Air and Space Museum, Museum of Natural History, National Archives, American Indian Museum and more.

There are three meto stops on Capitol Hill. Just a few stops away enjoy the theater or movies at Gallery Place. Shakespeare Theater Company performing at Sidney Harmon Hall and the Lansburgh Theatre, Verizon Center with basketball and hockey. H Street, Georgetown, 14th Street Corridor and Adams Morgan are all within easy access.

Super location in Washington.

This is a nice flat in a convenient location. Citi bike stop right across the street and a bus stop beside the flat. Lyft to National mall area was about $7. Wonderful to have a full kitchen and laundry. Really appreciated the extra supplies too. Karen responded to my questions and requests very promptly. Her guestbook has some great information. We appreciated the bicycles that were available to us, but they need a little tune up (sticky gears and broken kickstand).

It is smaller than it appears and the listing would benefit from showing the square footage. There is also very little natural light. I would encourage a more thorough cleaning (vacuum under the fridge) and secure the dishwasher in place.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the air conditioning and exceptional TV options!

Perfect apartment

Our family of 6 stayed snugly in this apartment, which the owner has considerately outfitted with many helpful tips and items. It's about a 40 minute walk right past the Capitol building to major Smithsonian museums and monuments. Loved it!

Loved the offstreet parking. The area was extremely safe. Easy walk to the Capital and the metro. Apartment was furnished very nice and stocked well. Great place for family of five! Will definitely stay here when we come back to D.C.

Blocks From Capitol Building & Mall & Metro

Stayed here with a family of five for five nights. As you can tell by the images, it's not a huge space but it works great. Easy walk to the Eastern Market metro, Capitol building and Mall. Used the updated galley kitchen for all of our breakfasts and multiple dinners. New washer and dryer was very convenient. Air conditioners kept everything nice and cool. Updated bathroom was functional and worked fine for five people; plenty of towels. We had a minor issue come up after being there a couple of days. Karen responded immediately and took care of it. It's a fantastic place to stay, and a lot less expensive than a hotel.

Lovely apartment and a beautiful part of Capitol Hill Historic District.

It was our first visit to DC and the apartment was in a beautiful and charming neighborhood. It's located in the lower level of the property with three window unit A/C's that helped keep it cool. We were there during a record breaking heatwave. There were five of us there for the week and it was definitely cozy. The bathroom had luxury towels and shower head. We never had an issue with running out of hot water. We stored most of our food items in the bedroom with the bunk beds where our 12 and 15 year old slept. Virtually every space was utilized for storage. The walk to the Metro took about 15-20 minutes. Four Metrocards were conveniently left for our use in the apartment. We took an Uber only twice back to the apartment if we thought we couldn't trek back from the Metro at the end of a long day. We used the washer and dryer a lot but be aware there is no dryer vent, so a water trap must be empitied for each load. The clothes got extremely hot during the dry cycle so be mindful of that. Karen was quick to reply with any questions we had before our trip and we didn't need to speak with her during our trip. We grocery shopped on our way there and that made a huge difference since there weren't a lot of places within walking distance to buy basics like milk. Overall, it was a great place to stay and it was so convenient to have a kitchen and washer/dryer available.

Owner's Response: We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us!! One thing though! As explained in the check in info there are two corner markets very close to the house. One is 3 blocks down the street, the other just across the street from that on one more block. They have everything you might need like milk, beer wine, ice cream , eggs, canned goods etc. sorry you missed those. They are very close and we grab stuff there all their time. Also eastern market is 3 blocks away. Closed on mondays but it has everything you could want! Cheese, veggies, meat, eggs, cheese stall, bakery etc! Also there is an organic super market right across from the metro station four blocks away.
