An excellent location
We really enjoyed our week here: beautiful views across the bay from a large balcony; easy access to an attractive old town; good pool and surrounds with plenty of sun loungers and shades and a well resourced apartment.
All communication from our initial enquiry through to the end of our stay was handled quickly and efficiently. The on site manager was very proactive and quickly sorted out a couple of teething problems on arrival and was readily accessible if needed. We also found it very convenient to be able to book our airport transfers through her.
Small improvements could be made by having lights on both sides of the beds and a larger table on the balcony. For anybody considering cooking all week, kitchen work surfaces are limited (although there is a table) but this wasn't a problem for us as we mainly ate out.
Overall, we'd have no hesitation in recommending the property.
Everything we needed for a comfortable stay!
We stayed for a week at Whitsun - the apartment catered for all our needs as a family with two children (aged 10 & 13). The balcony view is breathtaking - you can never tire of the view of Kotor Bay. Muo is situated within easy walking distance of beautiful Kotor town, however taxis are readily available and cheap for those not up for walking!
The swimming pool was great, and although there are nearer local beaches on the immediate shoreline our children preferred Jaz and Przno which are about 25 min drive away.
Montenegro is a wonderful country and this apartment is well equipped and situated perfectly to explore the surrounding area. Would highly recommend this apartment and would love to return. Thank you Paul for an unforgettable stay. Thank you Vesna for your warm hospitality.
Thank you very much for your review. I am delighted that you and your family enjoyed the holiday. Thanks for the beach recommendations. I usually recommend Jaz to guests but will also be sure to mention Przno. I will definitely pass on your comments to Vesna. I am lucky to have her as a property manager. Have a wonderful summer and I hope to have you back as guests sometime in the not too distant future.
Sensational view but beware of the steps!
This is a 10 year old apartment in a small block which itself is part of a complex of blocks of apartments. Although we were advised it was on the ground floor, it is in fact over a workshop/storage area of some kind so we were subjected to some drilling/sanding on occasion. The large balcony is lovely and gets sun through to mid-afternoon - there is always something going on in the bay to watch but even the changes in light on the surrounding mountains and the water are fascinating.
We were told by the owner that there were "approx. 10 steps down from the car park to enter the apartment" - there are indeed 10 steps from the car park to the apartment block FORECOURT (no handrail) but there are then a further 32 steps to the actual front door of this apartment (with handrails). Having specifically asked the question before booking, to discover the reality was a bit of a shock. To access the pool area (further up the hill) there are another 31 steps up from the car park. That said, the apartment is otherwise as described. The view is amazing, the furnishings adequate (some different to the photographs), and the small kitchen area is supplied with basic equipment. The bed linen and towels could do with an upgrade. We had a few small issues which were promptly attended to by the management company, Key to Montenegro, who were very helpful and professional and our thanks go to Vesna in particular. The welcome package left was thoughtful and generous. Vesna also kindly presented us with flowers and chocolates as it was my birthday on the day we arrived - a special touch.
Montenegro is a stunning country, largely unspoilt, with lots to see and the people are genuinely welcoming. Kotor itself is like a mini-Dubrovnik, very atmospheric, but can get swamped by the number of cruise ship passengers arriving on a daily basis. Our favourite old village around the fjord was Perast and, further afield, Rose on the Lustica peninsular but, for a complete change, the new marina at Porto Montenegro is also worth a visit.
We hired a car but local taxis and buses are very cheap and would be an easier option - driving, with very narrow (and often unedged) roads and mountainous terrain is not for the faint hearted. We would recommend Red Taxis and specifically the driver Redovan, who lives in the village of Muo where the apartment is situated.
All in all, a wonderful break and we are recommending Montenegro to everyone!
Thank you for the review. Please let me start by apologizing for the misinformation that I provided on the number of stairs. Let me assure you it was not intentional. I have never had guests bring up the stairs as an issue and have never noticed the number of stairs myself. That said, I should have provided you with accurate information ahead of your booking.
The apartment is in fact only 8 years old and the first guests stayed there in the summer of 2009.
I am glad you enjoyed the welcome pack and I will pass on your kind words to Vesna. Thank you for the recommendations on places to visit. I will add them to a revised welcome pack document.
It was a pleasure to have you as our guest and I hope you will return again in the future.

Superb two weeks holiday in a fantastic apartment
I have just returned from a two weeks holiday with my partner and daughter age 12. We can highly recommend this excellent modernised apartment complete with stunning views across the bay.
The apartment is in a quiet residential area, peaceful and beautifully decorated to a modern standard. It was spotless, comfortable and very spacious. The balcony was huge and fantastic to sit out on whilst having a meal or a drink and watching the ships come and go. The scenery was amazing and swimming in the fjord was superb. It was only 20 minutes walk into the beautiful old town of Kotor where you pass local bars, grocery, fresh fruit and veg and supermarket and best of all a specialist butcher all within walking distance of apartment.
Paul the apartment owner was very friendly and helpful prior to our trip and upon arrival we were welcomed by Vesta with some necessities in the fridge, which was very useful and thoughtful.
This was a relaxing holiday with easy access to everywhere which I would recommend to anyone. The location was excellent we wish we were still there - thanks Paul!
Duration: 22 August to 5 September 2015
Thank you very much for your feedback. It was lovely to hear you all enjoyed your stay and had a relaxing time. I am glad you enjoyed chilling out on the balcony and taking in the views. It is one of my favorite things to do when I stay with the family. It sounds as if you were also able to spend a fair amount of time exploring the old town. I am glad the welcome pack was of use and I will be sure to pass your comments on to Vesna.
I would love to be able to welcome you, your partner and daughter back at some time in the future.
A little slice of heaven
Just wanted to say a quick thank you to Paul and Vesna for our lovely holiday at Kotor Vista. Paul went above and beyond the call of duty for us, and when we finally got to have our holiday it was perfect. We loved Kotor and thought the apartment was perfectly placed. We met some other lovely people at the apartments and our kids had a blast in the pool. We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the ships come in and out. We loved walking on the walls, the przno beach on the Lustica peninsula, and the gorgeous village of Rose. The information provided in the apartment helped us find these places, and it was a very comfortable base for our holiday. We'd love to come back again one day. With thanks The Haygarths
Amazing 2 week summer holiday with the kids
We had an amazing 2 week summer holiday in Montenegro. Myself, my wife and our 2 girls ( aged 5&10)
The apartment exceeded our expectations and has everything a family would need. (Including very fast wi fi) a must with kids. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We spent lots of time on the huge balcony for meals, sunbathing, relaxing and enjoying the breath taking views over the bay of Kotor.
Paul the owner was extremely helpful and informative, giving lots of suggestions which helped our trip run smoothly, car rental, restaurant recommendations and family days out.
The apartment is in a ideal location to explore Kotor and the surrounding area by walking, car or bus. It's 15mins walk to the old town, also beaches, waterparks, boat trips and parasailing all an easy 10-30mins drive.
We all loved the swimming pools and Jacuzzi - shallow pool for our youngest and a bigger deeper pool for the oldest, whilst still enjoying the beautiful views. I would 100% recommend the apartment for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in a beautiful part of the world.
Thank you very much for your feedback. I am delighted that you and the family enjoyed your recent stay. It sounds as if the kids in particular greatly enjoyed the pool whilst the family were also able to make some day trips to take in some of the sites. Happy to hear that your 2 girls were able to take advantage of the excellent Wi-Fi access to get their internet fix :-)
Naomi and I would love to be able to welcome you all back to the apartment at some time in the not too distant future.
