Great quiet place. Long gravel road to get to the cabin but it was bad because you were really away from people. We’d for sure stay again.

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway! Nicely stocked, well-maintained, very clean, beautiful view and amenities. We needed NOTHING! Highly recommend!
The gravel road was steep at some points, but we made it in this classic 1968 Cadillac!

Very nice cabin, clean. A little crowded in the bedroom and could definitely use new dishes. Cabin's location is down a gravel road that would be difficult to traverse with some cars. Very easy check in, owners very excessible.

Wonderful little escape

My partner and I stayed here as an early Valentine’s trip and it was perfect. We both work a ton and wanted a quick trip away from the normal hustle so we could hike and fish. This place checked all the boxes! We are already planning our return.

Great little place on the river.

This is a great little place on the river. The place is brand new. Went for work and pleasure. Several little towns in the area with lots of hiking trails to water falls and great look out points. Quit place on a dead end dirt road in the hills.

Fantastic Cabin!

This cabin was absolutely wonderful! Beautifully updated and comfy and cozy! The king sized bed is a firm memory foam and there is also a set of bunk beds in the king bedroom as well. The hot tub was very welcome on a chilly night. Check in was extremely easy and everything was exactly as described. We’d love to stay here again

The cabin was in a secluded location so we had privacy and peace. Having a river close by and seeing lots of deer was a positive with my nature loving husband. The cabin and hot tub were very clean. We were able to relax without that concern. Jessica was friendly and helpful with any questions and recommendations. We will be back.

Peaceful cottage by the river

This was such a charming and well appointed cottage. Everything we needed and more was in the home. We loved sitting out on the deck and watching the sunset. Jessica was very easy to reach and helped us with check in when we didn't receive an email with those details. We would recommend this property to anyone, it exceeded expectations!

Peaceful place

This was perfect for me and my husband. It was private . It has a long gravel driveway with deers and turtles. The river sounds were peaceful. My husband enjoyed fishing while we were there. Morning coffee and the back porch was just what I needed. Jessica was a great host!! We will be back .

A Cozy Escape in the Heart of Nature

I had an absolutely wonderful solo stay at this cabin. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The space was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up with everything I needed. The highlight for me was the hot tub—soaking in the tub while over looking the river in total peace was a dream. The quiet surroundings made it easy to relax, read, and just enjoy the stillness. The host was responsive and made sure everything was smooth from start to finish. I couldn’t have asked for a better solo getaway—highly recommend for anyone needing a peaceful escape!

Relaxing Getaway

The cabin was great! The hot tub overlooking the river was the perfect way to relax at night. Lots to explore during the day in the nearby towns (about 20 minutes away). Small, cozy, comfy cabin was a perfect way to escape from the world for a while and just relax. The gravel road leading to the cabin was easy to find. A little steep and bumpy but I didn’t have any problem driving it even in the rain.

So amazing!

The cabin is beautiful! The furniture and decorations make it so cozy. The view is priceless, and the hot tub is so awesome in this cold weather. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook, and there is even a grill outside. If you're looking for a temporary happy place, this one is it!! Host was very friendly and always responsive. Thank you so much! We will be back!

Amazing getaway

The River Retreat was just that - a retreat. We were way back in the woods on the bank of the Chattahoochee River. The cabin was cozy and very well appointed. I needed to call our host once bc I forgot something. She answered promptly and was gracious. My husband and I enjoyed breakfast out on the deck each morning. The trek to Helen was easy. The directions to the cabin were perfect and quite detailed. We had an amazing stay and will look to stay in this cabin again when we return to Helen.

Spring Break

Nice and secluded property. Enjoyed the wildlife that made an appearance. The sounds of the River in the morning were a nice additive. Keep in mind you are in the mountains/woods so bugs live there so don’t complain when you see them. Roads are not paved and a bit steep at times but thankfully you don’t have to walk (that’s what cars are for). Overall 9 out of 10. Only thing I would change are the reference material for the surrounding area. Just a bit outdated

Nice property. Beautiful view.

Husband and I stayed a week and had a great time. Everything new and clean. Had everything we needed. Owner very accommodating. Amazing view from back porch and hot tub (also had a pullout privacy screen to block view of second cabin down the road). Beautiful, forested, and somewhat secluded part of river. Lots of deer and turtles. Paddle boarded, tubed, and swam in front of property. Just be warned! There is no easy path or entry from house to river access. So if you have small kids or physical issues, it will be a challenge.
