About the property

5 Bedroom / 4 bath with basement Sleeps 21

As you enter the Asheville Lodge, you will immediately feel a true lodge experience. This real mountain house will captivate you with its soaring rafters and high ceilings, vaulted spaces and the warmth of wood throughout, this home is a treat!

The open kitchen, dining room, and great room, with stone wood burning fireplace, allow everyone ample space to gather and spend time together. The great room is filled with light from the expansive windows across the entire back of the home, which rise two stories in the great room. Three levels gives everyone the opportunity to go off and find a quiet corner if need be, or grab someone for a game of foosball or poker in the terrace level TV room.

Now, step out on to the expansive deck that runs the entire length of the home, and take in the long range mountain view that will entertain you your entire stay. There is a fire pit on the deck, so pull up a chair and watch the sunset, as a blanket of stars fill the sky. A hot jacuzzi/tub is also there for your pleasure.

You are just minutes from away from America's favorite scenic byway, The Blue Ridge Parkway, biking, hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lining, Segway tours... just about any outdoor activity! Or, take a quick ride to downtown Asheville to enjoy the first-rate restaurants, shopping, galleries, spas, and entertainment.

This private log home is 6 minutes, 4 miles, northeast of downtown Asheville, 25 minutes from Asheville Regional airport, 10 minutes to the gates of the Biltmore estate. Located at approximately 3,000 feet in elevation, which is just an amazing view. Asheville Lodge, does have a paved steep driveway, very common in mountain homes.

My husband and I live in middle Georgia and just fell in love with this true log cabin in the Smoky Mountains.

Why Mercedes Giron chose Smoky Mountains

We love the way the cabin gives you a true mountain feel yet you wind down the mountain and you are right there in downtown Asheville.

Wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved our time at the Asheville lodge. The house is large and comfortable. The view was beautiful. We rented for a bachelorette weekend with 13 girls and could have easily accommodated more. We will return!

Amazing!!!

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough positive things about this property. This home was very spacious and although we had 18 adults during our stay, there was more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable. The views were beautiful from all angles. Only 10 minutes to downtown Asheville. Will definitely stay here again!

Great house

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic leadership work meeting and team building at the house. Big enough that we weren't in each other's way but cozy enough to enjoy all being together. The fire pit and hot tub were great. The owner of the home was very helpful and emailed me back quickly when I had questions. Overall great experience. Thank you

Greatest weekend of my life, greatest cabin in the world!

  • 5 of 5

The reviews are all true...greatest cabin and weekend EVER! There were 17 of us staying in the Asheville Lodge for a bachelorette party, and it was just perfect for our large group - we never felt crowded. There was more than enough room for all of us girls (and we have a lot of stuff), everyone having a comfy bed to sleep in and always a place to sit. The kitchen was huge and had everything, and I loved how all the drawers and cabinets were labeled. It was honestly a home away from home - we all felt so comfortable and accomodated. Everything was decorated so cute, too, and really captured the mountain-y theme of our weekend away. I never want to stay anywhere else!! Couple things to note: driveway is steep (and looks scarier than it is), but you'll be fine. We had multiple food deliveries and Uber pick ups and drop offs, all of which were quick and easy. It's nice to be up in the mountains where you feel like you're away, but close enough to town to really get a feel for the Asheville life and all it has to offer - best of both worlds! The cabin came stocked with plenty of firewood for the fireplace indoors and the firepit outside, but we had a hard time getting the wood to light and catch, so bring a starter log and matches / lighter. Check in and check out were both a breeze, and there's a notebook in the cabin with everything you'll need to know about staying there. Plenty of outdoor deck space and seating to enjoy the views - THE VIEWS!! The owner, Mercedes, has everything covered and was a joy to work with - very communicative! WiFi was great - we all maintained a great connection all weekend. Hot tub was always hot (which isn't always the case with some places), and the whole cabin was so clean well maintained. Truly, the best cabin we've ever stayed in, and we've been in a lot of cabins over the years. I don't ever want to stay anywhere else ever again, and we cannot wait to come back. Thank you, Asheville Lodge, for the best weekend EVER!

Great Place for a Big Group!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay with our work group! Very spacious house with plenty of beds and bathrooms. The location is wonderful, we were able to get to the Biltmore, Grove Park Inn and downtown Asheville within ten minutes. Uber could easily get to the house which was also a perk! We loved the Momma Bear and her cub play outside one day. Mercedes was super helpful and checked in with me to make sure everything was going great! I highly recommend staying here!
