The Space:

Welcome to Siyi'ku Lodge (pronounced See-yee-koo), meaning ‘fireplace’ in Nez Perce, a name inspired by the heart of the cabin—a beautifully designed custom rock fireplace that serves as the centerpiece of this stunning retreat. Nestled in the Garden Valley wilderness, this luxurious, custom-built lodge features intricate woodwork, knotty oak cabinets, and a grand vaulted ceiling. The open-concept dining and living areas provide ample space to relax, while the spacious bonus room is perfect for kids to hang out and play.



Siyi'ku Lodge comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests, making it an ideal destination for families or groups seeking both adventure and relaxation. In the winter, enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing. In the summer, take advantage of river trips, bridge jumping, and nearby hot springs. After a day of outdoor excitement, relax in the outdoor wood sauna on the wrap-around porch or fire up the BBQ in the yard, surrounded by serene pine trees.

Nice property, not a lot of privacy.

My family stayed two nights at this property and overall it was a good stay. The cabin itself was pretty clean with a few exceptions, but nothing too problematic. My guess is the cleaners missed a few things before we arrived because there was a lot of huge dust bunnies all over the place, the garbage was overflowing, and the laundry machine had half washed towels sitting in it. It is hard to see in the pictures, but privacy is one thing that is missing. The driveway for the property is shared with another cabin (house) that has a family of 7 living there as their permanent residence. They were in and out all day long on both days we were there, the father was out cutting wood with a chainsaw until almost 10 PM one night, and the first night we arrived he came over and knocked on the door to give us the lay of the land. The family was nice, but privacy was definitely missing. The two rooms downstairs worked fine for the adults (although the bed in the guest bedroom is hard as a rock). The bonus room upstairs was great for the kids as they had their choice of 8 different bunks. Worth noting that there is not a fitness space (gym) onsite. They do have 3 yoga mats, so I assume that is the onsite gym they refer to in the listing. Finally, there was a few grumpy neighbors in the area that stopped and told us to stop riding our electric motorcycles on the dirt roads. We could have done without that. Overall, good stay though.
