Great accommodations, great location to everything. Helpful that golf carts are delivered and picked up seamlessly. Great overall time. We were a big family. Wish there were a few extra garbage bags. We didn’t think to bring any.

Beautiful home but needs some TLC

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is such a great size, excellent location within the community, and beautifully decorated. The landscaping and exterior are so welcoming and the interior design is just beautiful. It has so much potential, but sadly we experienced so many issues throughout our weeklong stay. The home smells of mildew when you enter, and now that we are back home I've found that every item in our suitcases smell like it, even items I laundered while there, and items we never removed from our suitcases all smell. There is visible mold and water damage high up in the ceiling of the home that we suspect is the cause. Every day we dealt with issues - the only ice maker was broken, half the burners on the stovetop are out, a broken bathroom sink faucet that made cold water inoperable, the dishwasher smelled of sewage when we ran it, a broken washing machine, and then one day the water was completely shut off to the home by the city, (while one of our guests was in the shower!). We worked with CS management to report the issues; some they could fix but others required more extensive repairs. It was just frustrating to deal with something new every day when paying these prices. I'm sure peak season going from one renter to the next makes maintenance difficult, but this felt excessive, and all issues were pre-existing to our arrival. A vacation should be an escape from this type of thing. The owner did provide some compensation for the trouble, which was appreciated but the whole experience definitely impacted our trip.

The location of this house is the best. And it accommodates our growing family perfectly, eight adults and grandchildren ranging from 15 to 4 ( the bunk room that sleeps 8 was great for all the cousins that only get to be with each other two times a year - lots of bonding and happy memories created here).Southern Charm has all the kitchen necessities for cooking for a large crowd (I would recommend a 4 slice toaster when the current one needs replaced.) And having 2 washers and 2 dryers made evening clean up so much easier.

Summer Perfection at Southern Charm

This property was the perfect location for our family of 13. The house was lovely. Clean and beautifully decorated without being over the top. We were close to the beach so walking wasn’t an issue if the golf carts weren’t available. The rental staff took care of the two issues we had in a reasonable amount of time so no one was inconvenienced! It was clear that the owner wants everyone who stays at the house to have a good time. I would certainly rent this house again and recommend it to anyone who needs accommodations for a large family!

Southern Charm July 16 thru 22

Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd stay at Southern Charm (2017,2018,and 2020) the house is beautiful, accommodated our family of 8 adults and 10 children ages 1 thru 12 comfortably and is situated in a perfect location in the development. Since this year we had the pandemic to dealI with, we felt we would be in a safe clean environment at this location. In previous years the house was in **** and span condition, however not the case this year. Upon arrival we asked when the AC/heating filters were last changed and were told that they change them every month. That definitely wasn’t the case, not only were they filthy dirty, but not even installed properly. The over all cleanliness of the house was substandard and some of the pots and pans were put back in cupboards dirty. There were ants in the back entrance (called management about this and they sent someone out to spray) but the very next day they were all over the kitchen, even in the silverware drawer. In my opinion the cleaning crew needs some help. We love this property and have recommended it to other families and would like to return again, with hopes that the cleaning problems are corrected.

The location is perfect- close to one of the pools as well as the beach entrance and exit. We had no A/C issues as were mentioned in previous reviews. Overall a wonderful vacation
