My husband and I just returned from a week at this comfortable and well-maintained luxury apartment and were completely delighted. Our search for the perfect Paris apartment is over: we'll definitely stay again in the future! As others have commented, the king-size bed is incredibly comfortable. And the enormous bathroom is worthy of the Four Seasons. The kitchen is modern and more than adequate (I really appreciated the Nespresso machine), the living/dining area spacious and luxuriously furnished. Special touches included many English-language travel and design books and even a piano!
There's strong fast WIFI throughout, and a large working desk in the living room. Nice to have the entry area with lots of hooks for coats, hats, and scarves. Very generous storage in the dressing room, but we would have appreciated a curtain in there for privacy. The bedroom draperies are a lovely heavy velvet that blocks out any street light, and all the large windows are completely soundproof. The elevator to the 3rd floor (4th floor American) was much appreciated but not suitable for wheelchairs as it's small and accessed by a few stairs.
If you adore the Left Bank, you won't find a better location, directly across the street from the church Saint Germain des Prés; two metro stations are within a block. Louis Vuitton is downstairs, Monoprix grocery store a half-block away, a good wine shop caddy-corner, Ladurée patisserie and Nespresso shops within two blocks, and the magnificent Grand Epicerie gourmet shop of Bon Marché at two metro stops. You'll even find a rolling grocery cart in the dressing room to bring back your provisions! Many home-design and fashion boutiques and art galleries fill the surrounding blocks, as well as good restaurants and cafés. The Louvre and d'Orsay museums are within walking distance, as are the Tuileries and Luxembourg Gardens. In other words, the neighborhood is convenient, safe, charming, and culturally rich.
Ann was a delight to work with and has many fine recommendations for dining, shopping, and museums. An added convenience was paying for the apartment by credit card. Thank you, Ann, and à bientôt!
My mother and I spent the week in Paris and this apartment was just perfect. It was comfortable, clean, and safe. It was a good size for the two of us, and the balcony was the icing on the cake. Each day we would run around discovering the city, then head back to the neighborhood, stop by the grocery store for nibbles and rose, then sit on the balcony, drink our wine, rehash the day, and then head out for dinner. The location could not have been any more central, which made days of wandering, shopping and art museum-ing quite delightful. Anne was welcoming and kind, giving us the inside scoop on eating and some off-the-beaten-path not to miss sites.
My husband and I had a great stay at this apartment. It was very spacious, decorated well and centrally located. We were able to walk to most of our destinations, and the area seemed to be a safe one with lots of shopping. The only downside was the intermittent noise due to construction that was going on in the building in one of the other apartments, although it did stop on the weekends and this was almost two months ago now.
Apartment was in an ideal location and we loved it. Great size for a couple to spread out. The manager was very helpful and would recommend her highly as well.
"My wife and I just returned from a wonderful week-long stay at this apartment. The location is spectacular, and fortunately, on the quiet side of the building away from the Eglise St Germain des Prés. The long balcony with its comfortable chairs and table overlooks several restaurants, and there is very little traffic on this street. The building appears to be very secure.
The rare king bed was exceptionally comfortable, the bath/shower very roomy, and all of the furniture is of high quality. It is a very clean apartment, well-equipped, and livable. The clothes washer works very well, as do all of the cooking appliances. Anne was a delight to work with (even though I probably drove her nuts with questions prior to the stay)!
We hope to be able to return again and enjoy this lovely home."
My husband and I stayed here for New Years week in 2012. Everything was exactly as advertised, and went above our expectations. Ann was wonderful to work with and followed through on everything she and the apartment description promised.
We've rented apartments in Paris before, and this was by far the largest 1 bedroom we've ever rented, and right in the heart of St. Germain - steps from the Metro. It has everything you would ever want in a Paris apartment - fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom and a balcony to sit and watch the passersby - and right upstairs from Le Deux Magots. When you arrive, you almost can't believe how spectacular the location is!
Also, I couldn't believe there was a king size bed, but there it was - and probably the most comfortable bed we've had in years - high-end hotel quality. You rarely find a king size be in Parisian apartments.
We didn't use or open the pull out sofa bed because we didn't need it, but the sheer size of this apartment would make me think that more than 2 people would be very comfortable here.
If you want to go food shopping, there is a Grocery store (Monoprix) literally across the street, and you are steps from the open-air markets of Saint Germain. It was a pleasure shopping for our own food and creating meals in this kitchen.
Open the doors, let the breeze blow in and enjoy the heart of Paris.
We'll be back for sure.
