Nice cottage

  • 3 of 5

We arrived after dark, and it was almost impossible to find the place. That wasn't a good start.

The owners are very nice, and did check on us often to ask if we needed anything.

Bringing your own sheets and towels is very inconvenient, it's pretty simple to do a load of laundry for your guests so they don't have to pack sheets and towels.

I was at the place with my sister, so two women staying at a home was a bit uncomfortable with two doors that didn't close totally or lock. While I do understand the area is lovely and if you live there you are completely comfortable with leaving your doors unlocked, as a visitor and two single women, I would like locked doors.

There was an AC window unit that I could not find a place to plug in

It is NOT a two bedroom home, it has a loft with a divider, no doors. Because it was only my sister and I it was not a problem for us, but if you are two couples, or anyone who is looking for privacy, this is not the place.

The view is beautiful

A little piece of heaven!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is a wonderful gem, we loved it! Carl & Judy were very nice and helpful without being intrusive.

The first night we were there, we ran around the yard with the kids for a bit and Carl came over and dug out some balls and toys for them. It was like having the grandparents as landlords, they're so sweet.

The cottage is cozy without being cramped and clean. You can feel that the home is loved and cared for. It's hard to get better than views of Sleeping Bear, Alligator Hill and the blues of Glen Lake. We look forward to staying here again!

Beautiful location, relaxing environment, excellent owners

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I loved our super-relaxing, long-weekend stay in this cozy home. The house is located in a beautiful area on the lake only a 10 minute drive from town. The water is only around 20 steps from the back door and the large picture windows in the living room provide an incredible view. The owners couldn’t be kinder. They work hard to ensure that the house is super clean and renters enjoy their stay. They are nice as nice can be and it’s clear that they truly care about making people feel at home. We look forward to our next stay.

Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Park is all around us. Sleeping Bear was named 'the most beautiful place in the nation' by the Good Morning America show in August 2012. We have the most beautiful sunset view of Sleeping Bear Park. We are on the South shore of Big Glen Lake with its clear blue waters and pure sand bottom. The whole area is breath taking and filled with wonderful outdoor things to do.
