Great views in every direction! Waterfalls (same height as Niagara) in front yard, private ski hill in back yard. 6 acres, quiet. Beautiful views. You have the entire building upstairs, over 2-bay parking garage.

This is a very peaceful, quiet, and special place in the country right next to a state park where there are great hiking trails and park benches.

Cazenovia is a quaint little village with wonderful restaurants, old inns/pubs, gift shops, a beautiful lake, and a small college.

FOR FUN AT CHITTENANGO FALLS, RIDGEVIEW COUNTRY ESTATE: wade in Chittenango Creek upstream and downstream of Chittenango Falls. Look over the edge, hike to the bridge at the bottom. Hike to top of Caz Ski Club in back yard. Go to local casino (Yellow Brick Road) in Chittenango.

5 GREAT restaurants in Village of Cazenovia: Brewster Inn (dress up, make reservations), Brae Loch Inn (live music every Friday), Lincklaen House, and Les Pates et les Nouilles (Thai); also La Cucina (Mexican) in Chittenango. Visit the quaint little shops and boutiques in the village of Cazenovia. Tour the Cazenovia Beverage Trail-- or the Finger Lakes Wineries (hire a limo)! Rent kayaks and go paddle around Cazenovia Lake. Swim in the back yard pool, etc. Read or grill on the patio. Walk around the 6.21 acres. Bring a good book and sit in some of the "pairs of chairs" or on our benches.

Feel free to stroll around the big back yard, where there are pairs of lawn chairs strategically placed at all the best spots.

My contact with my guests is minimal: welcoming but respectful of guests' privacy. Feel free to cook your meals. Beautiful countryside, hills, valleys, streams, lakes, waterfalls, ski hill, sunsets, and cows. Take a nice walk on a quiet country road. Ride mountain bikes on the near by rail trail (it goes from right near my house to the village of Cazenovia 3.5 miles away). L.L. Bean rents paddle boards and kayaks at the Village Dock in Caz.

Getting Around: You will need your own car.

Other Things to Note: This is a completely NON-SMOKING apartment. I HAVE NO INDOOR PETS. 2 cuddly cates on premises.

Kitchenette is small but fully equipped.

We expect guests to leave the space tidy when they leave-- it will be fully cleaned after each guest leaves but please be respectful of the space and leave it as you found it.

Be sure to leave your studio key when you depart or there will be an additional charge.

No smoking. Not suitable for pets. No parties or events. Not child-friendly. Not wheelchair accessible.

We had a delightful stay this past weekend for Colgate Parents weekend! Owner is really earnest and had paid attention to every detail. The photos did not overstate and the accommodations were incredibly comfortable! Really great space and Casenovia is a great town! Worth the stop! Thank you Paul!

Quiet scenic Getaway

Open and bright loft for a relaxing and quiet retreat. Steps away from Chittenango Falls and minutes from downtown Cazenovia and Cazenovia College.

Visit the Falls!

Went for parents' weekend at Colgate, but found that the Falls were right across the street. Over and back in 20 minutes, unless you have more time (which we did not). Loft was pleasant and private.

WONDERFUL GEM!

Wonderful gem for the whole family! We rented all three Lofts to be close to Cazenovia College when my daughter was graduating. Well appointed spaces, and the property is stunning with amazing views, both during the day and evening -- the stars were so bright! I cannot say enough great thinks about Paul himself, he was very accommodating and just plain wonderful!! Checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed or if we had any questions. The access to The Falls was just amazing! Highly Recommend!

Beautiful loft with wonderful mountain views and helpful owner

We stayed here in August 2016 at loft A. This cozy loft in scenic Cazenovia, NY, has something to offer to everyone: a small country town with nice shops, convenient grocery and wine stores, with a small college that adds to the cultural flavor of the area. All of this is just a short drive down the winding country road, yet the property itself is quiet and completely secluded from the hustle and bustle of the town. The loft was clean, bright, with an open layout and a nicely stocked kitchen with a decent array of dishes, glasses, silverware, and came pre-stocked with some essentials like paper towels, 5-gallon bottled water on a water cooler dispenser, and there were even two coffee makers (Keurig and a traditional drip coffee maker), not to mention some Folgers ground coffee. We only used the drip coffee maker, and it worked great. Also wanted to note that the bedsheets were very soft and comfortable! The property that the loft is on is stunning with amazing mountain views, a true bird watcher's delight and a star gazer's dream. The private balcony at the back of the loft provided a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape. The six acre property is nicely arranged, with walk paths throughout, great for a quick fitness walk or just a stroll, or to just sit in one of the many chairs along the pathways or just relax on the hammock in the yard. The swimming pool offers a direct view of the mountain ridge behind the property, which we enjoyed a lot. The Chittenango Falls are truly close by as claimed - by my estimate they are no more than 300 feet from the front of the house, and the park grounds begin right across the street. We enjoyed the easy access to it, and also the nearby streams provide ample opportunities for fishing and nature walks. The owner, Paul, was very helpful and generous. He made sure that we could reach him whenever we needed something. But since the loft was as well equipped as it was, and since helpful notes were posted here and there by the owner, we didn't need to ask him for much. But knowing that he was ready to help was reassuring, especially when we had a severe thunderstorm roll through the area while we were there! We would enjoy visiting again, and we would recommend this loft for others also. A truly scenic delight!

The property was beautiful and very quiet

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was large and comfortable. The Kuerig machine in the room did not work and although there was a regular coffee maker, there was no coffee to make it. The nearest store/restaurant and Dunkin Donuts is about a 20 min drive away. But it is worth it to be in a quiet secluded area. I would recommend this place to anyone

Diamond in the rough

A lovely location, very comfortable with an extremely responsive and accommodating owner. He replied quickly to requests and questions. (Although we discovered that our text communications weren't going through so be aware of this possibility.) The loft was light, spacious and attractive with a very comfortable adjustable bed! The owner is new to hosting so the place lacked some homey, decorating touches but he made a point of asking me for ideas which I provided and were appreciatively received. The kitchen was adequately stocked with most basics but we really didn't spend time cooking during our stay. The setting was quiet with lovely views out two of the windows. There was a good size deck overlooking the scenic countryside but it's rundown condition wasn't very inviting. The outside of the building is somewhat run down looking and needs painting but don't let that be a deterrent. The inside is nicely maintained. We enjoyed a morning hiking the Chittenango Falls directly across the street. If you are looking for a place that's walking distance to Lake Cassanovia be advised this place is not, however, the drive was short and worked fine for us. I would expect that some of the little details of this property will continue to improve with the owners time and experience. I would not recommend this property for people who have difficulty with stairs. The staircase was steep with small steps.

This is the ONLY property in world that gives you instant access to Chittenango Falls State Park. Take 7 steps from my property and you are there. Also the views to the west and sunsets are superb from the back yard. Close to the village of Cazenovia. Quick easy access to local wineries, "Cazenovia Beverage Trail" and "Route 20 Antique Dealers" are fun.

VERY close to Syracuse University, Cazenovia College, Colgate University, SUNY Morrisville, LeMoyne College, Hamilton College, etc.

Owner/Concierge may be on-site but in separate building.
